  • Conrado "Rad" Maningas is one of Manong Teodoro "Teddy" Buot's first students in the Michigan area. Ted Buot was one of the early Balintawak instructors that started teaching in the United States. Since his passing in 2013 Rad Maningas is continuing to spread the art that he learned from Manong Ted.

    Thank you Guro Conrad for passing on the stories of Manong Ted. The art is one thing, but the person behind the art is just as important.

      That's what we do. Capture moments and create stories off of the history of what's presented. Even though there's more history to be uncovered, we are happy to capture moments of what each instructor has to share.

      Yes, it's great to see how the different branches train. Sometimes I pick up new things to insert into my training. They all have something to share. Eventually, it's how you put it all together and how to create openings and opportunities.
