My mom and I go every Saturday to the thrift shops, she loves a treasure hunt. She's 87 years old and you would think she was a child heading to Disneyland as excited as she gets. If she were to go to those stores you showed us she would never leave! I love these kinds of videos where we get to learn more about Norway and see the actual city and stores. Stay safe and warm!
I love these guys. They are so respectful of each other. And you can see how they love each other. It’s beautiful to see in a world filled with so much discontent.
You two really got me laughing today- my husband and I have had so many conversations like you about not needing the rocking horse (or whatever interesting non-essential). Darn! Just like Arne, I don't always get my way! But maybe Arne has a horse surprise in his future! Thank you for taking us along on your shopping trip.
The camera & video editing is FABULOUS. The music and sound levels are just right, the timing of everything is lovely. It's like a perfect conversation. Thank you, SOOOO nice.
Arne, you looked like you were tempted to sneak back and get that horse, except you you knew what Carlos told you was the right thing to do. You are so right for each other. Happy Valentine’s Day in advance
Loved that brown (?) mini dress that Arne held up at I Sustain. I'm vintage myself and remember wearing stuff like that in the late 60s - early 70s. These days a dress like that would be considered a tunic with leggings. We didn't mind showing our legs back then. 🙂
Beautiful old spinning wheel. You dont need the horse. No space. You have to start down-sizing. The retro furniture wish I could have. Just as well I live on the other side of the world. I would end up broke. That jacket you tried on Arne, is nice.
Now THAT is a thrift store! I know you will be in Reno, CA soon, and there is a wonderful antique shop in Minden, NV, about 45 miles away. Well worth a visit.
The porcelain knitting girl you admired in the first shop is very familiar to me. My grandmother had one sitting on her grand piano as long as I can remember, at least from the early 1960s and possibly much longer than that. When she passed away at the age of 96, my sister and I had to restrain ourselves from having a heated argument over who would get to keep it. I had to give in since my sister is older. She very kindly bought another of the same figurine for me. It is a treasured family heirloom which reminds us so much of the loving grandmother who sewed and knitted for us when we were little girls. I think it is Royal Copenhagen, but it could have been made by the other famous Danish porcelain manufacturer (the name of which escapes me). Between us, we own many of these lovely porcelain treasures.
Oooooh Oooooh Ooooooh Oooooh Guys! I know you're not spinners, but you walked by four? five? spinning wheels that made my heart nearly go into an arrhythmia! Especially the super slanty one which we don't see very often over here on the West Coast of USA. Next time you go into a shop like that, could you please, please linger for a few seconds to allow us to focus on them? And maybe even give them a brief look? I am quite sure there are many of us among your followers who would love this. Thanks so much! And by the way, that blue jacket looked very nice on you, Arne!
What a lovely coincidence ! Last video I almost mentioned that I’d love to “visit” a thrift store in an upcoming video. And- here it is! Marvelous ! Thank you - the rocking horse segment was humorous. ❤xx
I enjoy your trips to the thrift stores. So much fun to see what you have in your thrift stores in Norway. Love the jacket on Arne at I Sustain shop. I hope he purchased it. It looked very good on him. Thanks for sharing!
I loved the furniture! I have my parents teak Scandinavian dining room set from the 1970s which I will keep and pass down. I loved the rocking horse also.
I love thrift shopping, but have to avoid temptation! It was fun watching what you saw and your comments. I hope on a future episode, you show what you actually bought! The jacket Arne tried on looked great, I thought! Thanks for sharing!
These are wonderful stores and, yes, sustainability is so, so important. Thanks for sharing this. I, too, am a Sue who LOVES Legos. I would be hard pressed to not pick up that tub. I looked at this video several times just to eyeball the types of items in the stores. Sure hope you share what is in your shopping bag!
OMG! I have that same Royal Copenhagen young girl knitting statue!❤ I was my father's mother's. She was born in Denmark and was an avid knitter. I never had a chance to get to know her, but her love of knitting lives through to me and now to my daughter and Mt granddaughters. Lovely legacy!
I'm hoping the satisfaction I derive from watching you thrift will keep me from rushing out to my favourite local thrift stores. I really don't need to come home with any more must haves, no brainers or treasures. Or do I?
That was amazing! But as a wool spinner I wish you would let us get a good look at the spinning wheels that we only get tantalizing glimpses of! Surely you have some fans who spin? I have seen so many wheels over your shoulder or sitting to the side of the rocking horse or over by your path through the store…..it’s maddening! But it’s still fun to see what catches your eye.
I love watching you two thrift shopping. I can thrift shop vicariously through you and not spend any money. Though it does make me want to hit the thrift shops too.
So happy to see you guy's in the thrift stores. There were several items I would love to have but I am in the USA so I will just admire them on your video
Loved your thrift shopping. Arne, love that that twinkle in your eyes and mischief in your smile. Carlos, you were the voice of reason. My hubby and I are so much like you two. Today I was “cleaning my craft room/ studio. I found things I had forgotten about, and thought of a million new projects to do. Hubby is my voice of reason. Anyway, I saw so many cool things. Could you hear me talking to you, saying “Wait! Look over there?
Poor Arne, he really wanted that rocking horse, but Carlos is Arnes conscience 😂. I had to clench my teeth when you were in the first shop, all the customers wearing their padded jackets, and hoping no-one would accidentally knock something over and break it. I especially loved this episode, as living in Australia, we don't have a lot of shops like these, filled with so many Antiques. We do have antique shops, but not with "European" treasures. I hope we get to go shopping with you again soon. Maybe supermarket shopping ?😉 Have a lovely day
If you are able to travel to Oakland, California, USA, in late January to the end of February, you will have a great time at the annual White Elephant Sale that supports the museum. It’s a 90,000 square foot warehouse with 17 departments. They have everything. It’s worth a trip out here!
I'm scanning too, only I can't shop! I too had to talk myself from buying an antique English tin horse that would move with your up/down motion. I still look at it when I can. Nice shops!
Yes when you see what is available on the second hand market why would you ever pay full price? You can find anything you want eventually if you look around. The shops you showed us are amazing. Thank you for taking us along. It was fun.
So much awesome stuff to see and enjoy 🤩🤩 Sometimes i wonder who had the items when they were new or just made, loving them and displaying them 💞 Thanks for bringing me along!!🤗
thanks for sharing the video me and my husband have to check it out here in couple of weeks it funny i have that same look Arne face had antique shopping and my husband brings me down to reality too
I used to go to garage sales with my aunt every weekend. She would follow them in the adverts in the paper. If it looked junky when we drove by we would keep on going, So many fond memories with her
When I was in Oslo I went into both of those stores. The antique store had so many nice things. Arne did you buy the horse? It is a beautiful one. Love you both❤
The horse! I had a love of carousel horse but could never afford one, so I look at them in museum and then ride the ones in the mall. I am probably one of the oldest grandparents to do so. Most adults just sit in those boring seats and watch their grandchildren ride the horses.
`My heart leapt when I saw you had uploaded a vintage shopping and thrifting video. Antikkvarehuset is most definitely on my itinerary when I come to Norway in the summer. I do hope Arne bought the jacket in Glassmagasinet. It fit him so well. Shame you have no space for the horse, but it wouldn't surprise me if it magically appeared in a future video. 😉 I wish you could have seen the 'knowing look' my husband gave me when you were discussing why Arne shouldn't buy it. I love your thrifting shenanigans. Thank you chaps!
Your thift stores are so organized. That would make it fun to shop. Thift stores here where I live are just thrown together, items everywhere not well displayed.
Arne’s face get this mischievous expression and Carlos has to bring reality in😊 when shopping
🤣
“Step Away from THE HORSE.” 😀😊😂
What a wonderful place and all those beautiful spinning wheels. Thanks for taking us with you
So many spinning wheels - I was drooling!🤩
My mom and I go every Saturday to the thrift shops, she loves a treasure hunt. She's 87 years old and you would think she was a child heading to Disneyland as excited as she gets. life is too short...get the horse!
On my word, more and more spinning wheels!!!! I wish I could afford to come to Oslo!!!! WOW!!!!
Loved that brown (?) mini dress that Arne held up at I Sustain. I'm vintage myself and remember wearing stuff like that in the late 60s - early 70s. These days a dress like that would be considered a tunic with leggings. We didn't mind showing our legs back then. 🙂
Ooooo. The blue glass😊!
Beautiful old spinning wheel. You dont need the horse. No space. You have to start down-sizing. The retro furniture wish I could have. Just as well I live on the other side of the world. I would end up broke. That jacket you tried on Arne, is nice.
What great places. I would be there for days.
bet Arne goes back and gets that horse! 😀🐴🐎🎠

We love it!
Love this video, thank you for taking us along
Happy Sunday! Thank you for the thrifting tour. So many treasures! ❤😘
Carlos, you are so funny, Arne is struggling to put on that jacket and you just stand there not helping. Such a typical couple. So funny to watch.
I love thrift shopping, but have to avoid temptation! It was fun watching what you saw and your comments. I hope on a future episode, you show what you actually bought! The jacket Arne tried on looked great, I thought! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for watching!
Oh man you guys need to do more and longer. Thrift shopping is so much fun

I love shopping with you two 😊thank you for this video LOL 😆 X
i love every time you thrift! you show me how to combine knitting and thrifting...my favourite episodes hello from canada
We will keep that in mind next time!
Love the old spinning wheels!
I love shops like this, hours can pass by before I notice.
So fun to see you both thrift shop and see a little of Oslo!
Great shops! Arne, I hope you purchased the jacket in I Sustain. Gorgeous color and texture...fit you beautifully!
I was loving the spinning wheels!❤
I'm with Arne! That rocking horse is absolutely NECESSARY! You just need to build an extension to your house to stable him 😂😂!
fun episode! With the rows and rows of glassware, all I could think was, I hope they don't have earthquakes in Oslo!
I had the same thought! 😊
Oooo. I love the knitting figure. Who gives away Legos? I still have them from my 3 boys! Thanks for
I love watching you two thrift shopping. I can thrift shop vicariously through you and not spend any money. Though it does make me want to hit the thrift shops too.

👍🏻
I just moved to Oslo - the two of you are adorable so I'm watching where you recommend. Thank you for your channel!
Welcome to Oslo!
Yes when you see what is available on the second hand market why would you ever pay full price? You can find anything you want eventually if you look around. The shops you showed us are amazing. Thank you for taking us along. It was fun.
You are welcome!
Thanks for taking us shopping with you.
Arne, I hope you got the blue jacket. It looked like it was made for you. You would style it up.
Fascinating! How did so many thrift shops come to be? Even in a department store!?!
Enjoyed shopping with you! 😊
There is a big focus on second hand here in Norway.
So much awesome stuff to see and enjoy 🤩🤩 Sometimes i wonder who had the items when they were new or just made, loving them and displaying them 💞 Thanks for bringing me along!!🤗
I hope you got that coat jacket - it looked great!

Hi guys. Great thrift shopping.
Love you two!!❤
Love you guys. Love those shops.
U have really neat thrift shops. We have a few here but ours don't seem as interesting as urs. Happy hunting. 👍👍🫂🫂❤️❤️
Arne was like "I'm going to spend money whether I need to or not"!
You guys find the best stuff! I want to go "thrifting" with you 🩵 any place/any time! 😂
Ahh... you were just down the road from where I live in Grunnerløkka. How fun! :D
😍
so much fun - thanks
I wish I could be there with you, I would encourage Arne to get the horse!!! lol
So many things to look at!!😛
I love thrift shopping❤
When I was in Oslo I went into both of those stores. The antique store had so many nice things. Arne did you buy the horse? It is a beautiful one. Love you both❤

Did Arne buy the jacket he tried on? The fabric looked amazing!
Your thift stores are so organized. That would make it fun to shop. Thift stores here where I live are just thrown together, items everywhere not well displayed.
The peace of our Lord be with you, sending good wishes to you all
Okay, we need more than 9 minutes of thrift shop content.
Hi to both of you from the UK! I love your channel! ❤
Hi Janet!
Hi! Thanks for getting back! Keep on inspiring by way of your channel! Warm regards ♥️♥️
Thanks for getting back! Continue to inspire thru your channel! Warm regards❤️❤️
👍😁😂🤩🍀 thank you
In the US this would considered an antique store. Lots of treasures.
You have a Beautiful city!!
Thank you!
