My eye went right to the spinning wheel. I love to look at old wheels but I don’t yet have the knowledge to restore one. Im gonna watch this video a lot to see all the little treasures.
So many lovely things! Loved your trip into the thrift store. When I was in Norway several years ago, the best souvenirs I found were in the thrift store in Stavanger. I found beautiful fabric, knitted sweaters & mittens (yarn spun and knitted locally) and other things that we still treasure. We were able to buy local products and support a good cause.
For Arne: votives are the little candles that fit in the holder you held up-about maybe 5cm high. Tea lights are those tiny candles in a flattish tin mold that fit into those shallower holders such as warmers under teapots. Gentlemen: grab those nice teapots to use as multifunction yarn bowls/yarn dispensers!
My sister and I love watching your videos- we really enjoyed seeing the beautiful bowls, cute gnomes and the selection of furniture and afghans in the store. Happy thrifting!
So much to see! A spinning wheel (although it didn’t look like it was in working condition…), so many beautiful things. We love wandering through thrift stores!
Thank you Arne & Carlos...such a treat to browse the secondhand shops in Norway....here they call them op shops....thank you to the camera 😊person too.... Happy Easter...
The blue and white ceramics caught my eye. We have nothing like that where I live. I could spend a lot of time just looking. Thanks for taking us with you.
I love thrift store shopping. My obsession is with hand etched glassware. I, too, love needlepoint pillows. I collect Crystal vases for my flowers from my garden. I love cook books, knitting and crochet books.
Arne was quite under control, I thought - ha ha. I totally agree on the "made in Russia" bowls. I hope your niece will enjoy them, they are beautiful. Personally, I don't believe I've ever seen any thrift or retail item stamped "made in Russia", so I would consider that quite exotic. It's a lovely store, very well-kept with nice displays. Eric brought 2 lovely bell shapes suspended from the ceiling into view - I liked the more colorful one. There were so many great kitchen items, and I love books, of which there were many! Eric also showed a cute porcelain giraffe. I could spend DAYS in that store - thank you for a fun tour and I look forward to many more!
Thank you for another fun video. I certainly enjoyed your trip to the thrift shop. The linen towels sure caught my eyes, particularly the tulip 🌷 cross stitched towel. It reminds me of show towels or ‘ Paradehandtücher‘. I have been collected linens since my late teens. The blue and white porcelain was beautiful too as was the coffe mill I saw. Thank you again for the fun trip!
Hello, thanks for taking us along on your thrift shopping. I love seeing all the treasures. However my heart sank when I saw the old wooden coffee mill/grinder off to the left at 13:40 when you were showing the porcelain flour, sugar and salt containers. I collect them and would have loved to bring that home with me 😢. Another heartbreaker are all the antique tablecloths, linens and the like in past videos….I WISH I WERE THERE WITH YOU! See you soon 👋
Cudos for the cool jazz pianist music at the end. The Nancy Drew books…you have rekindled my motivation to continue collecting. I’ve ten ? But have wanted to get a full collection. Thanks for being a collector. Always enjoy your teaching about a variety of things.❤😊
I could watch y’all thrift all day 🤩There’s just something so soothing about it. Being an American of Norwegian and Swedish ancestry, I feel like I’m looking into my past…thank you for bringing us along!❤
I love the linens. The fabric makes beautiful cloth dolls. The fabric is usually soft from wear and the color is also faded and/or tinged with age. It translates into a beautiful look and feel for a “new” vintage toy. Immediately huggable.
Christmas things, glassware, kitchen things, books! Both stores looked like spend a lot of time in them and come away with too much to carry. Love love love!
Great show! I always attempt to find thrift stores in countries I visit. Those nesting bowl Arne found were excellent and I hope you gift them to your niece. I liked the little blues/white tea pot in the second store. Those store were nice and clean . I agree with Arne that the eyes can’t see everything at once and an additional visit is needed to find the treasures. Thanks for sharing.
I hope you have had a Happy Easter all of you, Arne & Carlos and the Crew. You said what caught my eye (I thrift shop often here in Brittany, France and go to Vide Greniers). I often buy unfinished embroideries and finish them or make bags from the tapestries. My eye was caught by the embroideries and textiles and as a spinner of wool I just loved the look of the spinning wheel in the shop, it would be marvellous for fine spinning of my sheeps wool. It was a lovely break to watch you whilst having a cup of tea. Keep well.
I saw spinning wheels in both stores. You never see them in thrift stores in the US and I would love it if you would at least linger by each long enough for me to get a screen shot. (Thank you for the second one, Eric!)
Your channel inspired me to look for local yarn stores and thrift shops when I travel. I had a 24 hour layover in Finland, and I was able to get some beautiful Finnish yarn and a secondhand sweater to remember my visit. Thank you for the inspiration! :)
Lovely store and fun to watch you shop. These two Christmas embroidered blankets look like they were Tunisian crochet which is easily embroidered Lovely to see you both
Thank you Arne and Carlos for visit to thrift shop! I enjoyed watching lots of nice crockery and love white jug and candle holder you birth! Lovely decorations tea pots in green the print was amazing but you miss it! Thank you as always they have amazing things! Xx 💜
I love all the blue and white China and the Swedish canisters. but you didn’t stop to look at that jewelry case on the wall I wouldn’t have passed that up if I was there! Thoroughly enjoy your tours!
Love the thrift store vlog but the best ones I love from you both are the cooking hideous. You both give me a good laugh and I need it. Love to you both.
Oooo! Ooooh! Ohhhh! So much fun. Was that a spinning wheel I saw in the background of the first shop? And I love the blue & white stuff. Thanks for letting us tag along!
Love theses videos. So much fun. In the first store I spotted two pictures of roses hanging on the wall. They looked like they may have been embroidered. Very pretty.
Happy easter. My eyes fell on an old-fashioned lap coffee bean grinder. And furthermore I thought it was far too cramped and too much. I wouldn't dare walk there with my balance disorder🤣
My father was Swedish and we had several sets of beautiful cups and saucers from Arabica in Finland while I was growing up in Brazil!! I loved the blue and white pieces you held up.
Love this video! I collect Nancy Drew as well! I couldn't see the dust jacket very well but what I saw looked very different than what I see in America. Next time you're looking at Nancy Drew books could you hold them up to the camera? I'd love to see it! Thanks for letting us come along!
A great thrift shop tour . What caught my eye was a little blue and white wall hanger. It was in the first shop when Carlos was looking at the linen. Loved the little teapot too Thanks for sharing 😊
Happy Easter! Thank you for sharing your thrift shopping adventure. Your thrift shops are well stocked and displayed. I understand what Arne says about his eyes goes everywhere in the store because for me it’s like eye candy/ Easter egg hunting/ time warping into the past styles & history odd stuff and hopefully no odors to sock it to ya.😅😂 Interesting things: Thrown pottery vase with dripping southwest colors The orange Space Invaders table runner ( not for me, video game motif) Cool Stuff. The blue and white candlestick holder and flat bottom teapot The silver pendant ceiling lights from the second shop Local postcards from second shop
Thanks for another tour of your thrift shop. I love seeing all the nice things. If I ever get to Norway I want to go Norwegian thrifting. I love the embroidered/klostersom and the rosemaling. I work in a nice charity shop in my town and it is fun.
I think it’s so fun that Arne collects Nancy Drew books❤️😌❤️
I think it is so sweet that Arne collects Nancy Drew.
The spinning wheel in the first store or at least it looked like one. I ❤ thrift stores too!!
The wood chandelier 😍
Spinning wheel caught my eye.
GLAD PÅSK 🐣So many goodies in that thrift store, my goodness. I wanna see more !💛 🦋🐇🌱🐣🦋💚
Oh how lovely! Thrift stores are my weakness - I always look for Trixie Belden books. I call them Nancy Drew's predecessor. 😂🥰
The spinning wheel! I would have bought that if I were there. That was so cool. You guys are just too cool. 😊
I agree. Beautiful. I also loved the tapestries
I love that white water jug for your fresh flowers Carlos --🌼🌼🌼🌱🌱🍾🍾🥂🥂, happy spring
My eye went right to the spinning wheel. I love to look at old wheels but I don’t yet have the knowledge to restore one. Im gonna watch this video a lot to see all the little treasures.

Oh to find a vintages spinning wheel like that green one Ina thrift store. Happy Easter!
Wow, fabulous thrift shop …….. and Christmas goodies to look through ……..yay 😄
That Christmas afghan looks like Tunisian Crochet. Fabulous idea and it's beautiful.
Thank you for that suggestion. I had never thought about a tea pot as a yarn bowl. It would work perfect.
The beautiful basket with rosemaling caught my eye.
The textiles … so many, and the jumpers and the Christmas decor and and … 😊
My sister and I love watching your videos- we really enjoyed seeing the beautiful bowls, cute gnomes and the selection of furniture and afghans in the store. Happy thrifting!
So much to see! A spinning wheel (although it didn’t look like it was in working condition…), so many beautiful things. We love wandering through thrift stores!
Those table runners were beautiful, but the highlight was Arne’s strong opinion on votive candles!
I loved all the hanging lamps in the first shop. These thrifting videos are fun! 😊
The spinning wheel is still at the first shop, sitting outdoors and spinning wool for knitting is very pleasant. Oh! another at the second shop!
I LOVED EVERYTHING! those wooden sofa and chairs were gorgeous, anything ceramic, linens...EVERYTHING!!❤🥰Sharon.
Oooooooh the blue n white teapot was great. And the throw pillow. Nice finds. I love that Arne likes Nancy Drew.
Bowls… love the bowls and the pots and lovely suitcase holding the Christmas decorations!
Love the Christmas dolls! In the furniture department!
Thank you Arne & Carlos...such a treat to browse the secondhand shops in Norway....here they call them op shops....thank you to the camera 😊person too.... Happy Easter...
I liked those crock bowls. I have all of my and my husbands grandmother’s crock bowls and use them all the time and remember them as I use them🥰

Definitely the Christmas section. Loved the gnome type dolls. One or two would of been coming home with me lol. Thank you for sharing.

In the first shop there was an interesting hanging wooden candle holder for 5 candles. Love it.
I liked the hanging bells that Carlos passed in the first store. I would have considered hanging them on my porch or in the garden.
Happy 🐣 Easter. I liked that large royal blue bowl.
Happy Easter!

What an awesome shop! The first thing that caught my eye was a spinning wheel! My newest favorite craft. ❤
I thought I spotted that too. I took up spinning during the pandemic and I love it. I have three wheels now. 😉
