    Interesting until the music then had to turn it off. I can’t understand why the need for loud music!

    good stuff...thinking of doing the same for a 16x16 perimeter. ..any quick idea on how much yours cost by the end of the pour?

      Yeah. Insane amount of work... but I would do it all again, rather than do the part that is coming up again....

    I’m thinking a ‘base block’ say 16” wide, 12” high side turning 90’ to form the footing top with the key locking tabs for stacking the rest of the blocks. Trim the bottom to fit your site contour or specific footer depth. No need to stuff around with multiple mixes of concrete, ‘bag’ types footings, etc.

    You are too negative on ICF. Having built a three storey house with the product, I cannot praise the product enough. To me, all houses built in a high risk area, should only be built with ICF. Our house, is super quiet, cool in the summer and cosy in the winter.

    do u find the icfs to be really expensive?

    • @billmccance7762
      @billmccance7762 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      In a foundation ICF is faster and cheaper by about $3.50 per sq ft at least with AMVIC. On this monopour they should have made a footing out of Fastfoot or a fabric bag or even 6 mil poly to hold the concrete from gushing out.
      We have crews doing ICF to the roof for same cost as wood frame , but on a faster schedule

    Now that the addition has the same roof line as the garage...you just going to connect the two?....LOL! and make it one big superstructure?

      OH MAN! You are totally right! I would have a mini mega mall. You know, i've thought about connecting them underground...cause...come on...who doesn't want underground passage ways....

    What is going on? Is the project back on? This Video is not in order of the last videos of this project?

      Greg! Things are all screwed up! :) . Yes, everything is out of order. Don't worry. Just watch all the videos and it will make sense soon! :)

      And yes, the project is back on. I couldn't very well stop building the Addition. Gotta finish, and I'll try to take as much video as possible as I go.

    disappointing video. after showing how you set everything up with the huge gaps at the bottom of the forms, i didn't see a single second showing how you kept the concrete from spilling out and what the "footing" looked like in the end. would have been helpful to explain why you used the type of pump, nice to have the flexibility to blow in the concrete in the end. I have no clue what your mix was for the wall. neat project just not enough of the important details.
