  • It's Week 14 of Sports League and we were given PBA Cheetah. Working on my muscling problem and learning the hand placements a little better. Thinks just weren't working out to the best today. And got a little surprise that was not happy about. It was something i have never seen before. The day is over its fixed...crisis averted. #bowling #bowlingleague #bowler #pba #jpba #strike #subscribe #spare #hammerbowling #hammer #nothinghitslikeahammer #sportsleague #urethane

    I would recommend the Pitch Black, Purple Hammer or IQ Tour 78-U, NU Blue had a terrible look on that pattern, which is supposed to be easy and high scoring.

      if I had the Purple that night I would of used it. I have noticed the Nu is a very sharp ball. It seems to be better for the bigger hook. Like great for burn not as much for fresh.

    The first game was the best I have ever seen you bowl outside the first arrow. What hurt you the last two (besides the ball getting scratched) was that you played the lanes the way they change for resin, not for urethane. Resin takes oil off the whole lane, urethane takes oil off the front of the lane and leaves some of it on the back of the lane (especially with a lower flare urethane ball). You would either need to move feet left and slow the ball speed down or move right and pipe it straighter up 4-5 board. The other strategy besides urethane outside is take a resin ball that does not snap, like an asymmetrical solid, and take some hand out of the ball. Coming from the edge of the lane you will have enough angle to get the corners out while not leaving as many 9 pins as you would with sharper reaction balls. Best of luck in future league and tournament play!!

      Thanks. I see what you mean I usually move left and rarely move right to combat the breakdown. I know urethane pushes and solids take away but never put two and two together. Thanks for the tip. Will see how I handle the breakdown next time, instead of moving 2&1, will throw a straighter ball for urethane.

      I was worried it wasn’t fixable and if I get a ball out of it but it’s fixed crisis averted. It’s like a brand new ball again.

    That black widow ghost was reading the dry very strongly. What other bowling balls do you own?

    • @TillysAdventures
      @TillysAdventures  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Umm balls I own are Hammer Black Widow 3.0/2.0/Ghost, Hammer Raw, Hammer NU Blue, Hammer Black Urethane, Hammer Purple Urethane, Hammer Dark Web and Brunswick Mindset.
      I only carry six with me at a time and think I should have been using the Dark Web but was having a few struggles with my hand. I kept going around the ball instead of behind it. Lessons learned on top of the stress of my ball possibly needing replaced. A brand new one at that with maybe 20 games on it.
      The main balls I always have in bag are black, nu, 2.0, ghost. The dark web in trading block for long patterns. And the raw goes in with high buff patterns. The 3.0 on trading block for short patterns. And I don’t really use purple anymore because I can’t use in Regionals.

      @TillysAdventures I have a couple tips that might help you roll through the ball more. When holding the ball, keep it aout to the right a little more so it's more infront of your shoulder instead of your chest. Also while holding the ball, make sure your hand is comfortably holding the ball with your hand somewhere around the 4 or 5 o'clock spot, for example, relax your arm, raise your elbow and loom at the position of your wrist, that's what it should look like. And on the back swing, keep the below tucked in more and really feel the weight of the ball on your finger tips when throwing.

      @TillysAdventures  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@liquidrock2uI have moved my arm out in my set up to give the ball a more free swing. On straighter shots I do well and keep the ball on the fingers but the more I try to add hook. My yo-yo goes away and I’m really firm. Still work in progress as on house patterns I’m forcing myself to practice those deep inside shots. An uncomfortable position for me but if game calls for it I need to be there. Could just be I’m practicing too deep for what the pattern is allowing and I’m forcing it. I had a couple good shots as I put it right in the blend but hand little off and it screamed off the spot especially if inside my mark. Thanks for the tips.

    Damn bro. You totally got shook G3 ( rightfully so ) I want to learn more about how you ended up in Japan. Are you like a Japan pba bowler ? Hammer staffer?

    • @TillysAdventures
      @TillysAdventures  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Not a JPBA member and looked into it. It’s difficult to get in and pricey. I was looking more to check off my qualifications and get a PBA license.
      Wish I was at least endorsed by Hammer since I love their balls.
      I got to Japan by being stationed here with the US Air Force.

      Just looked like a tough night. We have all been there. And that right lane was really tight. It’s hard to adjust hand positioning sometimes, and figure out what works best. I don’t think you can keep any one position through all three games. Next week could be a whole different story. And you see the pros who have every ball available and ball reps advising experience the same thing as we do. Thanks for sharing, and thanks for your service. Remember that we don’t have to support our families by bowling. Trying to to take one shot at a time, and a good preshot routine helps me stay focused more. Above all, it’s about having fun. Thanks for sharing.
