+dont be average I get your sarcasm. But they aren't detained at all. They are free to come and go as they please, or to move away forever. We beekeepers only provide a home option in exchange for some honey.
My logic is that if the bee's wanted us to take their honey.. why do we have to where special suit to save us getting stung. Bee's cant rationalise our want for their honey can they..
I've always felt the way Flea describes himself at the beginning of this video but hearing him say "before I always felt like I was always reaching trying to be something cool I'd never be then all of a sudden then I felt like I was cool just fucking being me" is really motivational to me. Whenever I feel insecure or alone or whatever I watch this video because that just speaks to my soul and makes me feel so much better. I love you, Flea. Don't ever change.
I feel exactly the same. That was my experience as a kid, and music completely changed my life for the better. Flea articulated that beautifully. He is the man.
Flea's love of music is infectious. You can tell music just flows through him and that he'd be doing exactly the same thing whether he was in such a massive band or not. Huge respect!
Yes, Flea had a Modulus signature for many years with a sweet graphite neck and he recently repped his own brand of Fleabass, but I'm happy to see him get a Fender signature model and while not his own brain-child per say, it's his favorite bass and one you can see him rocking with a lot over the past 10-20 years. It's definitely a rare type of bass all-around, so people should be happy they have another cool option to buy in shell pink (one of Fender's greatest colors) with the stacked tone/volume knobs with chrome tops. SO cool!
@@janfarkas8953 Fender is kind of controlling when it comes to their signature artists these days. They didn't want John Mayer to use other amps unless he put a cardboard cutout of fender amps on top of them at live performances. That's why he uses PRS now. I'm sure they've asked John is he wants a signature model, but I don't think he's really into that sort of thing ya know?
Thank you Fender, for making this real. I've always adored Flea's Jazz Bass, and to have it be in production is really exciting. Can't wait to get mine!
watching the documentary on how John went through the heroine addiction, and now seeing them, especially flea, they went from being grungy, messed up, scary, and self destructive kids, to grown adults with good lives and a true love and joy for life, it's amazing
Dude is that actually him playing in the background? It fucking sounds like Jaco. I mean it's definitely Flea, I just have never heard him play like that before. He really needs to have some sort of solo career or something. Maybe join some jazz fusion bands, that'd be fucking sick!

Not knowing wtf you are doing on your instrument will always limit you. Flea is proof, he has finally unlocked his final form :P.
It's so awesome to see Flea wearing a Bob Marley & The Wailers T-shirt of a massively underrated and under-appreciated album. One that I love but pretty much everyone else only knows for 'Redemption Song' and 'Could You Be Loved'.
Flea is a beautiful human been. One of my favorite musicians of all time. He is a wild and unique, pure energy for freedom of musical mind. Great introduction for your beautiful signature fender bass. I dedicate this writing to perform my honors in life to you, for all the inspiration and good moments you give us with your music and contribution. Peace!

another delusional kid? lol don't make up shit, he basically sucks.
Niiiice, now please introduce the fender signature frusciante stratocaster
yes.
yes pleaee
Yaas
That would be so sick. But Frusciante would never do that, he doesn't really play strats anymore and he doesn't really like signature guitars.
+Teun Music Productions he said that his 62 stratocaster was his favorite guitar, so why not ?

Me too!
Flea is so cool, he can even play with the Bass Unplugged!
I knew there was something "wrong" with the Jazz Bass he used in the Dark Necessities Video. It didn't have the sticker on it.
i never knew what was that sticker of

Good point , but I still would prefer the modulus , just a way more awesome bass . I have a squier jazz that sounds identical to this
Flea has dogs, but hopefully not the other way around.

Flea is just an amazing human being.
What an inspirational guy. He'll go down in history as one of the greats.
He's totally crazy. I love it!

0:06 Flea diddly-ing "Donna Lee" by Charlie Parker, memorably covered on a 60s Jazz Bass by Jaco Pastorious
It's the small things! Thanks for the info :)
I tought it was John Coltrane's "Giant Steps"
I love when Flea speaks of having the readiness to surrender to something greater than himself when playing.

If I buy the bass does it come with any fleabees?
Alan Angel no friend but it does come with ur own sox for recreating your favorite chili peppers concerts ;)

Man, he sings Donna Lee and that Jaco tone is spot on! I'd like to know where he sets his tone knob
a lot of his tone comes from Envelope filter.. its not a wah pedal but has similar voicing.. flea is fucking cooler than cool

By Charlie Parker.
Flea’s bees? That’s some funky honey!
