I am exactly sure, a lot comes down to the motherboard manufacturers effort regarding of a well made bios which apparently still hasn’t came out yet in a lot of cases. One thing for sure, this CPU is failed in 4 months, once i get a replacement from Intel, I will just sell it.
My I7 13700k Is making my System (64gigs of RAM DDR5 rtx 4070 and water cooling) a rough time. Continues freezes and microlags and full System crash where i get a big frame freeze and can't di nothing but Power off the PC from the button.
@@luka908 I know exactly how you feel. ☹ Have you started the RMA process? Are you going to ask for cross shipping or get a replacement CPU and do a Standard replacement?
In your opinion, do you think Intel will approve my RMA request? My 14900k was causing a bunch of BSODs and lock ups on all of the motherboard BIOS default profiles when I first got it to for my new build. Even on the latest BIOS update it was running at high voltage and high temps under load using some benchmarks. It's under control now on a light overclock of 5.4 on all Pcores but will still lock up or BSOD on occasion. It was much worse when I firs got it.
I am sure they will, I don’t think they have time to do much of the troubleshooting. Go to the support page and open a ticket there. If it’s crashing with the latest bios settings to default, I don’t see why they would have any problem replacing it. I just got the replacement cpu from Intel 2 days ago.

@@Scott.The.IT.Guy. awesome, thankyou for replying. Im starting mine right now, question though you may be able to help me with. What is “memory manufacture & model” question mean? You mean the cross-shipping option the advanced warranty replacement? So, in that case, before Intel sends the new CPU out, they will charge your credit card with the full purchase price. Once they receive your failed or failing CPU, they will release that charge and you get your money back If they do not receive your faulty CPU, they will just keep your money.
@@Scott.The.IT.Guy. sadly at least not for me. i think they are hoping to cut losses and hope nobody notices if maybe the replacement isnt as damaged as the returned one.
I am still waiting for them to even reply if they recieved the CPU I sent in. Just seems outrageous how they cant even respond to a simple question. I bought a new CPU to use in the meantime. But I plan to return it once Intel sends me a new one. But They have been slow in responding.
I just checked the tracking number Intel provided me for the RMA, and Intel received my CPU three days ago, also no response at all so I just messaged them a few minutes ago... Previously they said that once they receive my failed CPU , I will get the replacement in 5-7 business days. Will see!
@@ChocCroissants They just responded on my request a few minutes ago stating that the replacement CPU has been shipped out as of today and they apologize for the delay. Have you used their shipping UPS pre-paid label they provided for you?
I did. I had a few agents and they've sent me different instructions. But finally they sent me a label. But I'm still waiting ever since its been a month.
I have been sending them emails on the daily for an update. But to no avail. I'm starting to think I might've sent them to the wrong email? Could you let me know which email you have been replying to? Thanks.
@@Scott.The.IT.Guy. I sent a message saying I need my computer for work and that I cant wait for the entire RMA process and that I am willing to pay for the new one until refunded for the defective one. Waiting for answer now
And I got denied after asking twice... I even offered to pay for the replacement beforehand. I am pissed off now, Intel seems bent on tarnishing their own image by making the RMA process as painful as possible... Now my only choice is to buy a new cpu, send in the defective one and flip the replacement CPU on the 2nd hand market. I feel like these guys deserve a lawsuit but I don't think I have the capability to take them to court so my only real choice is to go along with their BS but I will try and make it known how bad Intel is
That intro was simply fantastic.
Thank you kindly!
Hi, so Intel asked me to send my address information, but I’ve sent it for 2 days and they are not response yet, is that normal?
Unfortunately it is, just send them again and say “ not sure if you got my previous message so just in case , here is my address again “

You are welcome!
Thanks for all of the details to this interesting story. I wonder how widespread is this level of CPU issue.

careful with intel warranty replacements. i have done 3 returns and they keep sending me used cpus that already have fried cores.
