    It’s still looks a proper tank to be fair, the luggage is an incredible addition.
    It’s got a lot of hidden compartments to store stuff 👏
    I think the 125 model will sell very well.
    I can’t imagine off-roading on a scooter 😳
    If I was after this style I’m not sure if this would be the one I go for, but it’s a bloody good effort from Lexmoto 👏
    Great video mate, hope you’re well

      Thanks RB. It's surprising how many comments I get on the Honda video about people wanting to take these things laning.
      They wouldn't be doing that for long!
      All good thanks, hope your good too👍🍻

    That's a really interesting bike! A 125 sized frame w/a 300 opens up a lot of possibilities for smaller riders. I ride an Xmax 300 and on the forums are many shorter folks asking about the seat height and how to lower it. I'm 6 foot w/a 32" in seam and I'm on the ball of my foot sitting on the bike. When riders outgrow a bike's capabilities they don't necessarily outgrow the size of the frame. Great to see an option for that segment!

      So true Lee, this scoot will fit most people ...its very accessible to all types. Thanks for watching.

    Good review as always, surely anyone who’s got the money to buy one of these new would find the extra for a Honda.
    I agree that a 125 version may clean up if priced correctly due to lack of competition. But I just can’t see this scooter being a success as the value just isn’t there.

    • @exeterrider
      @exeterrider  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's niche, but I think there is still a market there for those who are a little more left field. The Honda is fantastic but it's still over 1k more 👍
      Thanks 👍🍻

    Great in depth review on a competitively priced scoot, ER.
    In a couple of years I'll probably have to swallow my pride and downgrade to a maxi scooter. The Honda 350 ADV would be my choice.

    Given the 2nd hand car price increases over the last couple of years I can see bikes like these becoming very popular as drivers are forced off the road. I would take this over the bus any day.

    Interesting bike as you get a lot more power, plus luggage than a 125, but it's still pretty light weight, unlike a lot of 300s that try to make them into big maxi scooters and they gain a lot of weight. If you don't need pillion space it could be a good option.

    Not to bad for a Scooter by the sounds of it, over here Scooters are not very common for the normal riders, mainly only university students would ride them as they are cheap to get around on but good look over this Scooter though buddy and stay safe.

    Nice one ER, I appreciate that Your channel checks bikes out whether they be famous expensive brands or modern up and coming bread-and-butter stuff, it is broad minded of You unlike myself, who is disgusted by totalitarian nations using slave labour and flooding the markets with copycat products of very limited lifespan and dubious quality! Just got a 23 year old Honda twin which polished up, most people would never guess its age!

    • @exeterrider
      @exeterrider  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hello mate, Transalp by any chance? I do get where your coming from although I would say many brands are using almost similar practices , and many bike parts from all brands use Chinese parts so its a slightly complicated issue.
      As I say though some of the practices are a disgrace, but unless I see direct links with those type of practices then I have to take the bikes for the merits I can see.
      Thanks very much for watching though , you worded that well so appreciate that.

    • @craigyllyn
      @craigyllyn ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I have thought about the issues around the Chinese but I tied myself up in knots. If I were to be consistent I couldn’t ignore the Japanese human rights violations over the last hundred years, then the German record and of course Austria too. I can’t therefore ignore the Italians who were also in league with the Germans . The USA and it’s race record? That’s not good either. This leaves the English manufacturers. We have managed to be prime movers and shakers in the slave trade, links with Oligarchs who are friends with Vladimir. In the past of course we even treated the Irish Scottish and Welsh appallingly.
      Which means that I would really need to walk.
      So…
      I decided that I would start to take a view on bikes etc from a quality standpoint. A bike could be made by a bunch of nuns but unless it’s a quality piece of equipment really the “values” behind it are not going to make it viable. I’m leaving the issues to our politicians. I doubt the UK bike market is of any real influence to any megalomaniacal country leader.
      Oh two last things.
      The first Chinese bike I rode was a moped in the late naughties. I still have nightmares.
      Yes, I realise that the nun reference might not work. See? It’s such a difficult thing. Where do we call a halt?
      I’ll crawl back under a stone. But very good review. 👍👍👍

      Thats pretty much my take on it but I don't have your skills to put it from my head to the written word...Good post !!
      Also yes my friend had a Jinlun from the 90s....I cant believe it didnt bend when riding it, he had it for a year even though I told him not to buy it. He scrapped it in the second year I think after going in and out of the garage for warranty work in the first 18 months!

      @@craigyllynVery well put that although personally I wouldn’t trust Nun’s any more than I would priests!

    Nice looking bike but I think I'd rather pay another £1000 and get a Honda Forza 350 / Honda ADV 350 which beats it in nearly every way. I would also be concerned what this bike would be worth in 2 - 3 years after going through a couple of winters. At about £3500 this would be a good proposition but is too many bucks for what is basically a budget bike. Having said that, credit to Lexmoto for including luggage and heated grips. I think as you state, the 125 version might sell well.

    • @adivarso8175

  • @willswheels283
    @willswheels283 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice scoot, good review, I’m not too keen on the keyless ignition either, ok when it’s a new bike and everything works but as it gets older it’s one more complication to go wrong, and it’s Sod’s law that will happen just outside the warranty period, key ignition please Lexmoto or at least a choice when buyers make an order.

    Recent xmax 300 owner. Worst thing about this and every other street scooter is the short suspension range. Absolutely crap on our UK roads. The adventure scooters should accomodate 6 inches of travel. Unfortunately, none of them do. What's more, these vlogger reviews never test or mention the suspension quality. Of course they don't intend to live with the machine and are just after clicks and likes. Shame really

    • @exeterrider
      @exeterrider  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The ADV350 and the XDV750 both have decent suspension, so there are options there.
      I nearly always mention suspension quality , I always say it as it is so to say I'm just after clicks and likes in the context of having this scooter in this case 3 weeks is rubbish.
      Of course I want clicks and like but it dosent affect the reality of what I say so you need to get that into prospective.

    Wow I think to put it kindly there is more than a passing resemblance to an existing Honda model and I wouldn't be surprised if Honda's legal department are taking a close look at this 🤣🤣🤣 Based on Lexmoto's previous offerings I think the only way to buy a Lexmoto product is to view it as a throwaway item because no one is going to touch it with a bargepole second hand and I don't think many people will part with £5k for a disposable bike when for a few hundred quid more you can buy the Honda XADV 350 which will be a superior machine in every way and have solid residual value.

    • @exeterrider
      @exeterrider  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I get where your cming from, that being sid I think the ADV350 is now around the 5.7k mark so its 1 k more and when you add the boxes it would add another 800 or so I reckon but yes as you say, re-sale value wouldnt be what a Honda is for sure ,but they are 2 different scoots really. Well it would be £1000 plus £800 at least for the boxes tbh but I see where your coming from. I don't think Honda have anything to worry about here...this is a different machine altogether. Thanks : )

      @@volt8684Why are people saying they wouldn't touch one?? They look gorgeous and seem reliable. The Honda ADV does not have heated grips. The Honda Forza has a cluttered screen and the keyless ignition is problematic in both Honda's. The Honda's cost £1000 more and they also don't come with the panniers and top box. This wee Lexmoto is a beauty ❤ X.
