Yes, Hi, this is Patrick Flaherty, I was SVP of Product Development at Craig at the time. It's not often that I come across content that takes me on a walk down memory lane, especially in such an unexpected and delightful manner. Today turned out to be one of those rare occasions, thanks to this video. A colleague of mine, who keeps an eye out for mentions of our past work, sent me this link, thinking it might catch my interest. And, oh, was he right! Watching your reactions and listening to your commentary, I couldn't help but be transported back to those brainstorming sessions that led to the very designs you're discussing. I must admit, the laughter and amusement you displayed were not at all unfamiliar. In fact, it mirrored our own reactions back when we were in the thick of the development process. There was something liberating about pushing the boundaries of conventional design, fully aware of the unconventional path we were treading. The decisions we made, as outlandish as they might have seemed, were fueled by a mix of creativity, daring, and, admittedly, a healthy dose of humor. We knew that what we were creating was going to stand out, perhaps even jolt people out of their expectations. And while the end goal was always to innovate and make an impact, we also recognized the importance of not taking ourselves too seriously. It's refreshing to see that the essence of what we aimed to achieve has not only been understood but also appreciated in such a vibrant and lively manner through your video. Your laughter is a testament to the spirit with which we approached our work: with joy, a willingness to experiment, and an open mind. I'm thrilled to see that our designs continue to evoke strong reactions, be it curiosity, surprise, or sheer amusement. It's a reminder of the timeless nature of truly bold ideas-regardless of the initial reception, they manage to leave a lasting impression. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and for giving us a reason to reminisce about our journey with a smile. It’s heartening to see that our work still sparks joy and conversation years down the line. Best, Patrick Flaherty
So basically, he and his colleagues didn’t take their job seriously. They all saw it as a big joke. It comes across as making fun of the customers. Very unprofessional.

That "I love sky" vid was actually a short/episode from a cartoon tv show called Bernard about a polar bear who was just kind of clumsy and got hurt a lot in a slapstick way. Although its a Spanish/ South Korean/ French show it did air in Australia around when I was a kid which is how I recognized it.
I actually found the clip on youtube haha th-cam.com/video/qzQ7rTGJtKI/w-d-xo.html
Spanish/ South Korean/ French
What?
@@Reac2Just quoting Wikipedia, "Bernard, known as Backkom (Hangul: 빼꼼) in South Korea and Berni in Spain, is a Spanish-South Korean-French computer-animated television series produced by RG Animation Studios, with the investment of the French broadcaster M6."
aww thank you, I knew I'd seen this before
bunch of the bootleg nuggets that were going around here had differant clips of it, kids would try and collect them just to figure out what the hell it was...
Don't think we did
@@meganahne2633 The show used to be popular in Indonesia as well. That, along with other shows strengthen my believe that 'slapstick' style of comedy is not funny.
@@sertiana2512 fair enough, I think animation isnt the best platform for such a physical comedy like slapstick. I still think it can work with some good live action actors. An Aussie show called Lano and Woodley is an example of what I think is good slapstick.
I never thought I'd find myself laughing at someone reviewing mp3 players, this man is *gold*
Pure gold
I puked on a yepp once (oops wrong video)
Bitey frank slowly loading in and the nugget promptly dying sent my sides into orbit.
That was one of the fastest 25 minutes i’ve ever experienced
I could watch hours of this
“I had a great time...

That usb connector is actually mini usb OTG so it can be used with an adapter to hook an USB drive to it.
The port supports both host mode (round connector with 5 pins) and slave mode (standard flat mini usb)
Hey, to be a little fair on the iCoustic nugget, you tried to play the "._" trash files that macOs creates, the real files where down bellow.
Dank needs to make a playlist called "The Craig Pod Saga"
He needs to buy one of the new craigpads

Whaddaya mean trash!?!? XD
@@cumeater288 I was talking about the nuggets, 2020 is trash
10:52 I had almost that exact MP3 player back in middle school/ early high school. Except mine was in a shiny black.
It played MP3s in order, and worked fine enough as a flash drive.
Discovering this channel is one of the few blessings of 2020. May the nuggets be with you, mate.
The bush world “8 days to bendigo” reference was appreciated greatly.
dude he sounded spot on like in the actual vid like wtf
"Everybody stand back, I'm arming the nugget!"
I remember being a very agressive kid with my electronics in middle school. That Nano ripoff actually served me super well... Ironic that I had dropped it a bajilion times but enjoyed the function of the pocket clip. Eventually I kept it in my button up shirt pockets. You got a hella lemon in this one tho
Never thought a strange Australian man on the internet would persuade me to buy a nugget mp3 player called C R A I G, but here we are. Quality entertainment
As far as I could tell (thanks to the HD quality of the screen), the “I love sky”-video is from a series called Bernard. They’re short cartoon skits.
Yeah that’s what I thought
I remember that show.
I’d actually completely forgotten that series until i started watching videos on knockoff tech, surprisingly that show turns up on quite a few of the older knockoff devices.
"We're watchin' Shrek on a CraaaaAAAAIIIIIIGGG!"

I love how craig loads frank's photo and then remembers it doesn't support the format just to ruin all your hopes
What it's trying to do is load the second file jn that folder, which is a macos metadata fork file. It ends in jpg, but it isn't a jpg, so nor supported.
I played Scarlet Fire on my headphones and they ran away in fear.
krakkkkkkkrrkakkkkkkkakrrkkkkkakkk
I swear this Aussie gentleman did the voice of Rick in Bushworld Adventures. Love your videos man!
He sounds like the dad from bluey to me

nah we all got the derro deep down inside some are just more blessed than others mate
I am an australian listening to an australian that is ranting about crappy tech on crappy tech. I love my life.
15:04 That's Bernard the bear! I believe those animations originate from South Korea. I just remember my grandma had a CD with a bunch of those shorts burned onto it.
my sister loved the movie!
18:17 It's a USB mini A-B inlet.
I’ve stated my addiction, there are 3 iPods on the way...
Did you get a Grit and Augsilery Moad Speaker too?
The fact this is technically a (old video) is insane to me
