I think she is confused with what Mexican is. Most Mexicans are around half native American and half Spanish. (Some Mexicans are predominantly Spanish or predominantly Native)
The Spanish lived in México for generations so they’re children became “Mexican”. I know my great-grandfather was considered “Mexican” who came over to my country on a ship. My whole life I had claimed this “Mexican” blood but after getting the dna test I’m finding out I have too little Native American so now I can no longer claim to be a bit Mexican 😔. It was a bummer.
I took a DNA test last January with AncestryDNA because I too was interested about my ancestors. The thing about Ancestry DNA is they connect you with relatives you match with. My mother never knew who her father was, well, my DNA results matched me with a woman that turned out to be my aunt, we connected and the history all fit too well because her father was US Military stationed in Germany. My mother and my newfound aunt started chatting as well, then my mom took a DNA test as well and it connected the both of them as sisters. Last month my family got together and met our new long-lost family. Now I got new uncles, a new aunt, and some new cousins.
Just so you know, Ancestry is not the only company who connects you with DNA relatives. 23andme also connects you with DNA relatives on a monthly basis and you can choose to contact them or not.
Does that mean you can detect the odor before or after someone eats it? "Sir, I wasn't able to find any issues with your plumbing system - did you perhaps recently eat asparagus?"

They talked about the 'orphan train's of the 1800s, in which the hungry, impoverished eastern U.S. families would put their children on board trains. Farm families along the train routes would check these little children out and adopt the ones that looked healthy enough to pitch in with the farm work.

I really felt for you while watching this. You were very brave to do this online. Thank goodness you were able to find out more about yourself and your possible relatives.
These can be cool for more than just finding out ethnicity. My mother in law never knew who her father was and was recently able to connect with a sister she didn't know she had and find out about her father who is dead all because she took a DNA test. I don't know how all of them work, but the company she used allows you to connect with people who have similar DNA as you for the purpose of family history. So cool! And it was so exciting for her to finally find out so much about herself!
You don't know. My husband comes from the English/Scottish Border Country. We knew that the people in the area are all distantly related, and that a thousand years ago his ancestors were supposed to be Vikings or Danish. The Cumbrian dialect is about one third Norse and two thirds English/Lowland Scottish .When we did his DNA it came out as 59% Norwegian, 22% Swedish 18% Scottish and 1% English, from his G.G.grandmother who came from Lancashire. All his ancestors come from Carlisle,Bewcastle or Liddesdale in Roxburgh in Scotland .My own DNA comes out as 62% Welsh, 20% English and 18% German.-from my Great Grand-father. The percentages do not exactly correspond to what I have found out doing family history, so we may get more from one ancestor and less from another
Muy interesante tu video. Tu haplogrupo materno es A2H, es decir que tu ancestro materno es de Norteamérica o de los indígenas Kogui. Ellos viven en la Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta (Colombia)
There is a group called DNA Detectives that helps people search for relatives. You take those ancestry matches and go through family trees to find family members. They have helped many adoptees, foundlings and people who don't know who one parent was connect with family. I have seen foundlings get connected with siblings when they had only 5th cousin links. I am hoping to do the test myself soon and hoping I get some good matches as I know I have a sister but don't know who she is or anything about her. A relative just decided to tell me I have a sister and no other information back in 1997. Hopefully if I find her she is open to connection.
I found out who my father is and that I have a older sister and 2 older brothers. Turns out they are not who the relative thought my father/sister were. My father said he was happy about a relationship when I connected but no further contact has occurred.

My whole family is so thankful none of us took a test like this before my grandmother died. She was so hateful towards the native people of my country, speaking ill of them regularly decades after she moved to the other side of the country. My brother took the test and we have a big chunk of native blood in our vains :) With a little research it quickly came for a day that it was from her branch of the family, haha :) We assume she knew this very well, and the hatred was just to hide that fact from her new surroundings when she moved. Makes sense in hinesight, but still so wrong.

Just found your channel and I find you very fascinating :) I like this place. I shall stay here
WELCOME TO MY CORNER OF THE INTERNET
It's a nice corner. I- like a cat- have decided that if I fits I will sits. I think I fits.
Welcome friend, feel free to ask any questions you may have c:
awkwardsity welcome!

I'm actually super jealous, I wish I could find out what I am.
I'm new, and our personalities are very similar, I like you.

sweety spice yes?
You can, just do the test.
Therese Eriksson Uh, maybe she meant she's *new* to the channel
Therese Eriksson You know, this can be shocking for you, but for some english isn't their first language. So maybe, instead of being rude, contemplate the options.
You're really sweet. I hope your life brings you happiness.. I am really sorry to hear that you are an orphan.. I can't imagine the pain that brings you.
Jaden Blizzard she was an orphan
Jaden Blizzard you’re profile pic is pretty bloody hilarious!
you're really sweet
That's probably the nicest thing anyone has ever written in a youtube comments section, hahaha
random person on the internet
What do you mean was?
Glad to see that you have a good attitude about your family history 👍. So many who do this are all hysterical about what they find out but you have a sweet attitude! Good on you 😘
I really felt for you while watching this. You were very brave to do this online. Thank goodness you were able to find out more about yourself and your possible relatives.
Melanesia not malaysia...
*I'm so glad I found you girl!! You blew my mind when I saw the primary colors video... And I can't get enough of your vids! You're brilliant!*
The red color looks great in your hair
ECHO!!!! My family is aggressively arguing at this very moment and I feel much better now that you've posted!!!
My family used to do that alot too, lucky that don't anymore. But it WILL be okay ☺
my family used to do that . but now they are dead . Feel lucky
Mine would just say “Welsh. As Welsh as you can get”
You don't know.
Gillette. The best a man can get.
Joe Stop 💀💀
Lol
Lmao
There is a group called DNA Detectives that helps people search for relatives. You take those ancestry matches and go through family trees to find family members.
They have helped many adoptees, foundlings and people who don't know who one parent was connect with family. I have seen foundlings get connected with siblings when they had only 5th cousin links.
I am hoping to do the test myself soon and hoping I get some good matches as I know I have a sister but don't know who she is or anything about her. A relative just decided to tell me I have a sister and no other information back in 1997. Hopefully if I find her she is open to connection.
Have you found your sister?
Have you found her?
?
I found out who my father is and that I have a older sister and 2 older brothers. Turns out they are not who the relative thought my father/sister were.
My father said he was happy about a relationship when I connected but no further contact has occurred.
@@dyspraxicorganisedscrapper371 No further contact! Thats sad...I hope you're doing well though!
*_-we must sacrifice the blood of 100 orphans-_*
ElectraTheKilljoy I should not have laughed.
This is the best thing I’ve read all day
ElectraTheKilljoy This got dark pretty quickly...

You’ve officially convinced me to get tested. And congrats on confirming your ancestry.

DROP EVERYTHING ECHO UPLOADED A VIDEO
ASMR no voice I literally stopped writing a paper that is due tomorrow to watch it lol
This is gonna sound cheesy as hell, but you seriously mean so much to me, Echo. I’m going through a whole lot of dysphoria in regards to gender and sexuality, but watching you always makes me feel infinitely better. Thank you, and I wish you the best. ❤️🖤
TheBeastlyPanda 04 good luck!
What a coincidence; I just came here from a three-hour marathon of watching top surgery reveals/updates and crying. :,)
Good luck at i wish you the best right back at you like a frikin pro baseball player
You can do it! We believe in you. Plus, this a whole community of people who will listen to you.
Out of pure curiosity, what is dysphoria? (I don’t want to be rude......I am just curious)
What a lovely girl! This is the best DNA video I've ever watched!
“I sincerely don’t know who I am”
Same.
I enjoyed your journey of discovery, Echo. You came up randomly on my feed. I rarely click on feed suggestions, but since I’ve viewed a few DNA reveals, I was attracted to yours. Well done. Travel safely and choose kindness.!
Melanesia not Malaysia. Oceania is all those pacific islands that don't belong to a continent.
Oceania IS the continent.
Are you even? I'm taking a picture of this.

#TK-Dragon75! oceania is a continent numbskull
According to some historical records, those islands were connected one time and the continent was called Mu
You are not only a beautiful person but so articulate. Your parents must be so proud of you wherever they might be. God bless you
I agree
Ahh, my mom took this test and we got the shock of our lives. Nothing we were told at all was true. I think I cried for at least an hour afterwards.
My whole family is so thankful none of us took a test like this before my grandmother died. She was so hateful towards the native people of my country, speaking ill of them regularly decades after she moved to the other side of the country. My brother took the test and we have a big chunk of native blood in our vains :) With a little research it quickly came for a day that it was from her branch of the family, haha :)
We assume she knew this very well, and the hatred was just to hide that fact from her new surroundings when she moved. Makes sense in hinesight, but still so wrong.
Bass Trammel where can you take the test
Order it online. They all seem to have some differences, so check out whats included before buying it.
How does this mess you up? It doesn’t define you
Bass Trammel she probably knew and was distancing herself

Watching your videos makes me feel strangely good about the world. And thanks for the awesome points.
I like you left a nice comment. It seems others were quite mean.

Hi my names Nico. Currently, I am levitating while dressed in my jumpsuit. I'm pretty. Odd. Yeah you can say that- or don't.
(Anyone who gets those references can be mah new ibf)
SlimeWolf Oh my God I love you XD
You are very brave for sharing this and also
I'm so sorry for what happened to you
Mixed Mexicans usually come up as Iberian and Native American just FYI. As a result of Iberian (Spanish and Portuguese) conquerors who had children with Native American (Mexican) women. The mix is called Mestizo in Mexico.
I have the ability to lay my head down and immediately go to sleep, too. My husband HATES that I can sleep so easily 😂
If he isn't taking a magnesium supplement, maybe he should start. It helps a lot with sleep.
It is the opposite with me and my husband. He falls asleep almost immediately, while I stay awake for 2 hours resenting him for getting more rest than me. Lol.
5:03 Malaysia? It says Melanesia...
This is relatable, not an orphan just adopted, never met father, mom just lives far.
I like your dead pan sense of humor lol. My parent's are dead but yay science! 😅
You kinda looks like Lilly from how I met your mother when she was in college lol
omg yes
Bruhhhh
Haha yea, hot innocent turn freaky college Lilly;)
“so um both my parents are dead”
I'm a little orphan girl too..lol Dad dumped me at a daycare when I was 12 after my mom passed I should do this because it's a mystery to me too.
I wish I could hug you
That’s literally how I have to phrase it … “Spanish.. like Spain Spanish” lol

caaavie nirvana and marina and the diamonds. What in the fresh hell. My ears are already bleeding
Love your aesthetic!
Ancestry just received my test on Thursday September 8th...!! Yes, because I'm nervous and scared too !!
I'm adopted and although I know my bio parents I, like you, don't know my history so I really want to find out. But I don't have the money RN lol. I love your personality. Thanks for the video!
So by your DNA tests, I’d assume one of your parents was just a plain White American, and the other was Latino, probably Mexican or something similar. Native American is extremely common and substantial in Latin America.
"Plain white American"... So, European American. Lol
Laura S. I’m talking your average European American, which is typically some mix of English, Irish, Welsh, or some other Northern Europeans rather than Russian or Southern European for example. For example, Greeks are White, but they aren’t just “plain White American”.
Prince Asim Yeah, she said that in the beginning so yes.
Cxcoa Moon I skipped over the intro and went straight to the DNA stuff to make a blind guess.
Prince Asim "Plain white American" depends where you live. In the South it's English, Scottish and Irish. In the Midwest it's German and Scandinavian.
I know nothing about my heritage except vaguely what you do and watching you do this has calmed some of my anxiety about doing it myself. Thanks for doing this, from one half-“some sort of Spanish I don’t know” lady to another.
You are hilarious 🤣
💗
*Btw… it was that friggin’ sugar/‘merica comment … so funny!

As an orphan myself, doing one of these was definitely eye opening, i found out that not only am i russian but a good percentagge of my heritage is finnish. Iwas given up at birth so i never got to know my real parents, i was adopted at the age of 3
You did the unboxing on the drawing figurines..best of luck to you!
Hello how are you doing😎😎😎😎
Most shocking thing about this video:
She wasn’t born w the red in her hair
When people ask how much cream and sugar I like in my coffee, I say "if you add enough, it tastes like cake."
Coffee is an excellent flavoring for a mug of milk and sugar!
you cant take the orphan excuse away from me.
i've already had so much taken from me
like my parents
because im an orphan
Rose Nysilck wait what do u mean?

I just found your channel today and have been having a blast watching your content. Thanks for putting out such positivity into the world, you are awesome. -Tamara
i really like this channel because of these reasons
1) the voice is quiet and soothing and not very like “BAM” and it’s just like calming to watch
2) it’s an art channel that doesn’t only do art and has so many things and a variety of topics that many audiences can enjoy
3) the styles and aesthetics are amazing and just like soothing to me. i’m really into edgy type aesthetics and styles so it’s really cool
4) she’s AMAZING at explaining stuff. like, the tutorials are easy to follow and i understand them
5) she’s an amazing person. she’s so sweet and caring 🥺🥺
i don’t know why, but i just really wanted to say this because it’s just like this channel is perfect for me
i’m new to this channel
but i’m here to stay and i’m glad

I did Ancestry and 23&Me. I was found by my father who also did it. I went through this. Still, I think all the best traits you carry showed through for you. You are a super talented and beautiful human.
