      Thing is he always was.
For the most part, supporters and media aren't ready to have the conversation why he was sent out on loan for so often when lesser mortals were granted an opportunity to show their wares.

1colinb, maybe because Ten Hag had his hands tied by his employers regarding Rashford? Or, Ten Hag was a very poor judge of football flesh? Think Antony, Mount and £72m "developmental" Hojlund???

Yes. Amad is proving to be such a talisman for the team each game he plays. No doubt.
But also look at how Mcguire is slowly a better CB in Amorim's 3 defence line compared to De Light (not saying De Light no good, that boy a monster).
Anyone else noticed how Anthony is improving also? Improving his ball playing and support role while playing side by side the talismanic Amad..?
Ugarte running and tackling everywhere from start to end non stop?
Yoro showed up. Looking solid to.
I also think Bayindir was good!
Love the rotation. Just hope we bring someone in to rotate no 8. Before Bruno Fernandez gets injured. The captain need to rest some time.

@@jamescyriac1771 for sure, I'm not trying to be negative, I'm really pleased with things I'm seeing from him and I think Amad looks like he could be a top player, but form is temporary and we've seen how up and down things can be with every manager. There needs to be a cultural shift and a winning mentality that isn't there yet. Not saying it should be immediate, it doesn't work like that, but it takes time and getting too over the top now will lead to overreactions when it gets tough and it will

Difference with yesterday was even 3-0 down, I still felt we’d been the better team and could still get back in it if we could get a goal back, more so when seeing Amorim make his changes and put Amad in particular on. Honestly, the period after we conceded the 3rd goal was probably the time I enjoyed the most. Forster casually kicked out Amad's shot gave me so much laugh 😄 Had it been a goal, it would've become a complete nightmare for him. Still gutted we lost but I felt relieved at the same time, at least one less tournament we will get much needed time to train, practice and recover. The intensity was there, something we should be proud of especially after run of games every 3 days thanks to the rotation. I just hope the boys can carry the same fight and desire until the end of season, that's what matters the most now. Consistency.

We may of lost due to individual errors last night but in every game u can see vast improvements. We dominating possession more while also when we have any set backs we aren't throwing in the towel like we've seen in the past instead we keep playing our football we carry on fighting till the end. Fact this team shows far more fight is a positive sign. Losses happen but we're no longer getting thrashed in games we're going for to toe with them. It's really great to see our team having a clear identity in the way we play, especially if you compare how we played under Erik. If I were to critic our new head coach it would be to field a strong team from the start because after 8 games, Amorim should know who are his big assets in this team. I understand rotation and making sure every player feels part of the "NEW" way but he needs to field our strongest 11 in every single game. No doubt this will help us STOP CONCEDING FIRST! Couple of points I take from these recent weeks since Amorim has come in:
1: We are seeing a clear pattern emerging of how we want to play. This was never really clear with Ten Hag.
2: Good discipline and hard work is being rewarded. No personal favoritisms anymore. He said it himself - no player is bigger than the club. Egotistical players will not be welcome.
3: We are showing that these players CAN defend and they CAN be good in possession. It has taken just a short time for Amorim to transform this team.
4: Conceding by individual errors instead of just being overrun/outthought. Players are learning the system and what is required of them and of course this leads to errors. We need to be patient with our players who make errors during these times. Criticism will only hamper player progress now. Previously we were dragged out of position and being overrun in midfield - this is rarely happening.
5: Defence is looking good - the attacking WILL come. Our conceded xGs are really low, the shot count is down and we are giving less big chances away. Good. Our attack is still not as fluid but that will start to be seen better towards the end of the season I think.
A few points I think need correcting:
1: Defending from corners and especially looking at Hojlund/Zirkzee. They have been close to many of the errors of our conceded goals from corners and they clearly need better coaching on how to defend set pieces.
2: Big difference between our starting 11 and the reserve team. I can only hope our starting team stay fit/be managed well for the rest of the season. When we are relying on reserves it looks flaky.
3: We are obviously needing new players. A LWB is vital and we need to have players that challenge for starting places from the bench too. We’ll see if we have any money for signings. However this time, it feels like we can see not only the positions we need but also the exact kind of abilities those positions need. This wasn’t so clear with Ten Hag where we were just buying after positions, now we are seeing what abilities players need in those positions and this hopefully means future signings (if scouted correctly) will suit those positions when they are bought.
Overall, we are matching teams in most matches now. We were unlucky against Arsenal (away), beat City (away) and then did really well against Spurs. All three would’ve battered us last season.
I am really liking Amorim, his style of football and his pondus. We finally have a manager who ticks all the boxes.

I've followed your videos since the last days of Ole and the appointment of ETH. I'm a Hammers fan and have found the parallels in management/ownership issues quite interesting (I feel your pain...) - we were supposed to be getting RA in the summer but the board ballsed it up. He looks like the real deal and I like the way that you are looking under the surface of the performances and what he's trying to do.

Thank you Sam, that's exactly what we have been lacking for years. Though we lost but the fight back, being down 3-0 and to bounce back 4-3..we could have leveled the game if it wasn't for that stupid luck corner. Altay needed to do more..but I can't wait for the next game. Let's go United! GGMU! ❤🔥

Bayindir did the best parrying from a strong shot and his left arm was blocked by Bergvall, that goal would have been disallowed by VAR. He had a good performance.

The fact that we lost to a no-VAR presence is actaully... really nice. After finally getting a manager since the furgey era that has tactically changed us fast, Im really really happy to see that I might actually be able to grow up watching a team that isnt going to lose 4,5 or even 6 goal differences for a long time

Yeh a mate messaged me straight after the goal and said Rashford doesn't close that down and score. Tbh not many do, but we need to instill that workrate into the whole team. Problem is we've seen false dawns before. ETH running with them a few years ago, we thought was a turning point. It's about consistency

Rashford used to do that under jose until he became bigger in his own mind and couldn't be asked. Remember jose first season we played away (dont remember the opposition though) but rashford chased down a back pass halfway line eventually forcing the on rushing keeper to miss his clearance and then he scored.

I don't understand the criticism on the goalkeeper. I think he played well.
2 goals were from defenders' mistakes, another was delay in the defense's response to passes where the first shot that the GK defended to then concede with the ball on the post shouldn't even have passed the defense.
The fourth goal was a foul by the Spurs' player.

Can’t believe no one’s noticing we aren’t at all creating chances openly and more importantly can’t score from open play since Amorim has come. Even though we were struggling before but I can’t see any change in our scoring abilities. Amad’s persistence has basically covered Amorim’s lack of creativity in the final third.

The United back line is still struggling to easily pass the ball up to midfield. Too many sideways passing and then inviting pressure and resorting to a risky pass. What I feel is that when the positioning of the midfielder is right, the defenders are unable to track it and next moment the pass can't be done anymore. Once they fix this there will be far more cohesion.
