i started playing back in urza block and masks, back then it was really hard to get to know the story of magic, expecially as a kid in europe, but the block format allowed us to still get to know characters, planes, places and events through flavour text, artwork and names being repeted all over cards through multiple sets in a block the new formats makes everything so fast paced, with every place we visit being "it's a new plane, look it's cool, not move on, move one we have new places to visit" that everything feels rushed and cards matter only for the ebilities written on them instead of the lore and story they represent i guess it's great for arena and online formats that onlt care about mechanics, but for paper play it makes the game feel extremely soulless
Yeah, you never hear a player say it, because they stop playing. I don't care for Zendikar. I don't care for Theros. And I absolutely couldn't care less about D&D. As a result, there was a period around 2020-2021 where I barely played Magic. If Wizards still had their original block model, that wouldn't have been a few months. That'd be three entire years in which I wouldn't have cared about the game.
I highly suggest not using a six second looping track or whatever it is - even if it wasnt so loud as to drown out what you're actually saying, it's incredbly distracting to listen to. When accompanying conversation, a good backing track should be present but not noticed.
Yeah, this one got away from me. I have a background track on most other videos, this one I for sure missed turning it down. Like and sub for more videos that will be better next time, and please let me know your thoughts on videos I did prior to this, I love good feedback

Its funny because they said players didn't like blocks because it was too much time in one plane... Which I have never heard a player say.
