In this review I will be going over the workman ship of Advanblack,I will also share my customer service experience. That's why you just leave certain things like body work stock. I understand changing the fender, but I'd go with a Paul Yaffe fender, or Arlen Ness over Hog Workz, or Advanblack. Sure you need to get those color matched, but the quality would be better.
Thousands of dollars I expected the quality to be better than what it was.
I installed the Advanblack stretched saddlebags and the matching rear fender in Moroccan Gold several years ago and they are still perfect.
The fender tip light grid broke and Advanblack sent a replacement fender immediately. Great customer service!! I'm still a customer.
How long did it take for your fender to brake? I was told 6mo warranty then when I had a issue it was 3 mo

When I was looking to buy a tour pack for my Road King I checked prices and place of manufacture between the AdvanBlack and stock Harley. AdvanBlack was about half the price of Harley and made in China. Harley was as mentioned, about double the price but made in the USA. Also the material is a lot heavier on the Harley brand.
how do you know they are made in USA hardly anything on an HD is made in USA anymore

Sorry to hear about this brother I got the 17 Road Glide in Laguna Orange and I've always had a hard time finding someone to match those stripes. I had a custom shop paint my front fender I did a 180 Pitbull fat tire kit in the front and it was a little off as well. I have friends that have dealt with advanced black. And their product is cheap and flimsy now you verify that the paint is horrible thank you for the video I was thinking about ordering their chin spoiler got a little skeptical about doing that running to the ground.

I’ve been fortunate to buy used Harley products form market place for my bags and body parts but I also have a vivid black bike

I am with you regarding the quality control and their service. I ordered the cvo style bags and the paint matches pretty good. But the holes on the right bag was drilled a half an inch different from the left and will not now sit on the bard that the rubber sits on. Their solution was to add another rubber with a rubber band so they wouldn’t rattle and wear through from the vibration. They have refused to do anything else since. It is infuriating to spend your money and not taken care of.

I don’t have to worry about it, I traded my HD for an Indian challenger limited. Honesty, I waited for Harley to put an engine like what’s in the Pan American in a road glide. Couldn’t wait any longer.
Indian does make a fine motorcycle I ride the chieftain,Challanger and a scout. All fine machines
Harley will get there. They can’t make changes too quickly.
I’m still waiting for the Bronx to come out.

I’ll give you a little background on me, then get to what I think. I’m 🇬🇧 born and bred, I began riding in 1976, over here even then Japanese bikes were the majority, especially in the moped, then 250cc which we could ride on a provisional license, after passing my test I’ve gone through every faze bar cruisers. Sports, off road, street bikes, muscle bikes, sports tourers, tourers, adventure. All Japanese, Harley has a following in the Uk but it’s expensive, if I had wanted a cruiser there are many Japanese examples to try. I don’t have great respect for any of the major Japanese brands concerning finish, they all melt when exposed to winter salt. The strongest finish I had was a 1100cc BMW I had but the word is they ain’t what they used to be. First off I couldn’t really see your gripe but when you said how much them parts cost I did. My advice is, don’t let the experience spoil any part of the bike for you. Either save and pay for someone to paint them properly for you, or as I did, learn to spray and do it yourself. I gave free labour to a paint and body shop in exchange for teaching me the ropes. I used to finish my day job then go round there 3 days a week. I can do a good job now and with good finishing skills can turn an home garage paint job into something more than acceptable. Question, if they were made of a fibreglass type of material would they be too heavy? Do they need to flex to stop cracking, or does the flexibility lead to cracks. Personally I think you have been diddled, had your leg lifted, robbed etc that’s a taken but don’t let the whole situation spoil your bike for you, and it well might if you let it. Hope it gets sorted so your ultimately happy. Dave

I’ve had AdvanBlack and Amazon…, can’t tell a huge difference on the fender but their saddlebags are thicker and stronger than the Amazon crap…. I can’t speak on the wrapped front

Yeah I bought the mid heat deflectors and I'm feeling a lot of more heat than stock. I bought because I wanted color matched. But they are made of thinner plastic so I'm going to put my stocks back on.

I have the King tour pack from them and it is flimsy and rattles too. I had to have it exchanged 3 times for lid fitment issues. (The same issue you have)I still have to put tape around the lip on the bottom box because the paint rubs off from the latch being junk and the top lid fitment. I should have just gone with the Harley pack for a couple hundred bucks more

When you first expressed your concerns, the dealer had offered to take back all the products for a full refund, shipping labels provided. But you rejected the offer. Instead, you wanted to keep the parts AS-IS for a $450 partial refund. That is why we were not able to send you replacements 4 months after you received the partial refund. We had no idea why you would rather keep the products you weren’t satisfied with instead of returning them. But we obliged and gave you the partial refund as agreed.
That being said, we very much appreciate your opinions which gives us the chance to get a glimpse of why you would want to keep the parts you didn’t like instead of returning them. We stand by our 100% money back guarantee policy which was offered to you. But as a business, we can’t afford to let you keep the products and the refund and then send more parts to you with the shipping fee covered after it was made obvious that they don't meet your expectations.
I would love to hear what you have to say now. There was not much to be said when my issues with your product started. Both advanblack and your Wholesaler were not much help.
My choices were a refund or keep the parts. You did not offer to send me a proper quality product. With my back against the wall I I kept the product. Since I’m live in a state where weather does not permit me to ride all year, when I rode for the first time the paint started chipping and has continuously gotten worse. If you read the comments in my video you will see many others are not happy with the quality of your product not the customer service. Now do you want to make excuses or make your customers happy? What is more important to you generating revenue or the satisfaction of your customer base. I paid for your product with my own money, unlike a lot of other TH-camrs who receive these product for free. Here in America we have a freedom of speech and I am using it here. I am glad that I helped many others despite loosing thousands of dollars. By you saying I excepted the refund making excuses is entrapment, as I was not asked for a product that is free of blemishes. After the weather broke and I rode for the first time the imperfections got worse. When I reached at I got the same Spiel. If I knew how these products held up & how fast they Deteriorate I would have sent them back and purchase used stock parts. What you choose to do now reflects your company’s Character. You either make good to your customers or Conroe to make excuses and keep Deteriorating your reputation. Thanks for your response. I look forward to hearing from you.

I purchased a dominator fender from them, had it on the bike for 9 months and the nut that’s molded into the fender for the rear seat bolt pulled right out of the plastic. Left a huge hole, warranty is 6 months they offered to replace it if I would pay $300 for shipping from China, I passed on that I will not buy another AdvanBlack product myself.
I was told 90 days

After seeing this review, it makes my laugh when I hear so many people comment on HD prices and how they over charge for everything. When in reality you are getting a highest quality in terms of raw materials and paints and fit/finish. I can't imagine a custom paint shop competing with Harley at a lower price point.
Agree, have a 2007 Electra Glide Standard and the paint on the whole bike is still in super condition.
I bought an aftermarket backrest... NEVER AGAIN AFTERMARKET! Harley just put out good products period.

I think that somewhere, you had a bad experience with Advanblack and you just simply don't like their product for some reason. Most of the stuff you complain about and locations of damages you will find on may of the OEM products and locations. For they money you would have paid from Harley you could buy two or three of each product and saved yourself some tears.
My stock Harley stuff had 17k with no damages. I got 700 miles on advanblack and and damages accrued. Harley does not make a wrapped 21” fender, extended bags or dominator fender in this color. It’s my opinion this stuff is a waste of money. And there customer service is even more terrible. No excuse for the paint to chip after the first ride. They could have taken care of it they chose not to. I could not allow there lack of quality control and poor customer service go without notice. If you like your products lucky you. I want ppl to make a good decision before they invest there money in advancrap.

It boils down to do you want HD quality or do you want to save some money? I decided to save some money and got the Advan lowers. They were less than half the cost to my door vs the HD lowers. With lowers they tend to get chipped over time so I wasn't that concerned with quality. The paint match is pretty close but not exact. Their clearcoat dulls quickly compared to Harley paint. Also all the double sided tape that holds the lowers together was letting go in the first year.. For lowers I would still get them as I could buy a new set every few years for less than it would cost to repaint the Harley ones. For anything else on the bike I buy Harley parts as I did with my Tour Pak.
If Harley made a wrapped fender,extended bags and cvo rear fender I would have bought Harley. The reality is advan stuff is worth hundreds and best not thousands

So i can’t speak to the paint lonngevity yet but the match for me is dead on . of course these bags are a little thinner, it’s reflected in the price of you think about it . i solved the rattle or wiggle issues by taking out all of rubber on the advanblack bags. Thr rubber cushions and the bracket O ring plugs . they’re garbage and super thin and create a lot of wiggle when mounted. take all the rubber off your harley bags and transfer them over and the bag fits so much more snug against the bike and on the rail …. give it a try
I have my rubber bushings from my Harley bags on there. I’ll be honest with the thousands of dollars that I spent I really did not expect them to be in the low quality. My buddy Bought bags on eBay and they’re thicker plastic than Advan black

@@nickricholetti754 paint is shit. Had marks around edges couldn’t really see them. They said I still had a 6 mo warranty then the paint started chipping and bunking everywhere else l. Contacted them and the Didint keep there word. So now iam stuck with this junk

See if you can find some quality touch-up paint. Even DYI dotting the nicks and then a dot of clearcoat over will be good enough that you really need stick your nose up close to see it. Or run your fingers over it to feel anything uneven. But good video... Might be worth seeing if it's possible to fold a band of 3M helicopter tape or something over the tour pack rim. Just enough to cover the surface that contacts the lid.
Watch the whole video paint is messed up in more places than 1. And I shouldn’t have to your house up paint after the first ride.

Sorry you had a bad experience. I have the stretched bags , extended rear fender and front lowers. Blackened Cayenne paint match is very good and after 25,000 miles I have very few chips, on the front lowers. My pin stripes are dead on. Now my rear fender extension didn’t quite fit right and after I called them they sent a replacement right out. They aren’t HD quality but for the price I am happy. I get compliments all the time. In your situation I’d probably taken the refund.

I am with you. I purchased a set of their CVO style bags and yes they are weak compared to the oem bags and paint is fragile too. I didn't even mount them on my bike, just put them back in the box and ordered bags from Harley. I can't even sell the advanblack bags for 200.00 even though they are new no one wants them. A very expensive lesson learned for me. Advanblack gets a thumbs down from me.

Exact same experience "Vivid black," lucky the lip on one bag was cracked so I sent them back. Paint scratched to the touch, flimsy and thin.

That sucks ! I got the same bags and rear fender with extended side covers for over a year now with no issues. The only complaint I have is a have hyper flash on turn signals on dash only since installing rear fender. I tried every procedure
nothing fixes it. So I called them and spoke with Steve he said he was in talks with ciro and would get back to me with in 48 hours never heard from him again and called back twice with no luck.
Do your stripes line up? My bags stripes are to low and don’t line up with my side covers

@@darbvader810 Harley doesn't make extended bags??? I have a 2010 CVO Street Glide and the bags are extended, hell the tags are still attached inside with the paint techs signature and date. Sorry buddy but you cheaped out took a gamble and lost. Does it suck? Hell yes it does but a little research would tell you that this stuff isn't the quality that you would get from HD, Ness or Shopes or any other reputable supplier.
Your continual crying and complaints about the same issues could have been addressed in less than 3 minutes, hell no it's a 15 minute verbal beat down the horse was dead before you opened your mouth. Can't blame the rep for blocking you, sounds as if he gave you the options available yet you didn't accept them. And you sold your stock parts before you had the new parts? Sorry man but your ate up with the dumbass.
I have liked and subscribed in only in hope of watching you take the flame thrower to your parts. Just be sure to get a quality flame thrower and not one made in China or we'll have to listen to your monotone beatdown of another poor decision made on your behalf.

I love the fact that you all think Harley is made in America. NOT. It’s the same as saying Toyota is made in America. Harley has not been Harley for 50 years. Saddlebags are junk went through 2 sets on my 2016 street glide they cracked 2 times got refunded which was good

I ordered lowers for a 15 SG with the optional speaker pods. They sanded down the pedestals to eliminate fitamment gaps. 6 months later the hardware blew out the back. Had a chopped tour pack also. The upper lid latch also blew through the bottom of the pack. Their mil specs are cheap Chinese shit. But they give shit away to TH-camr's to sponsor em. I'm good. Just calling balls & strikes. Never again for me.

I had paint problems with Hogworkz tour pak. Their customer service is terrible. Staying with HD from now on. More expensive but always works.
