Hj Deshbhakt, I have a fundamental question. Why should I pay income tax? Government may give reasons as for welfare schemes etc. However what is the benefit for me? A person paying tax through out his career gets nothing when he or she retires. Not even pension. Schemes like NPs are investment schemes and not the benefits for paying tax.
I am from South India and I don't understand a single word u say in Hindi, Thanks for your presentation and subtitles. I am quite impressed and started watching the older videos too. I was prejudiced that all North Indian media and channels blindly support BJP. Thanks there are few people like u in the North, who stand for the truth.
Mainstreams channel always support those who gives them more money and TRP. Rn, bjp has bigger pocket, so all news channels are in modi's hand. For independent news channels, they can be of either side.
I think print is also quite neutral. They criticise gov if they do good job, and criticise them if they do bad job. It is also in English.

I still remember when government made a similar fraud regarding gas subsidy. Initially They gave choices but with time now we all know what and how much subsidy is debited and on top of that the poor people for which many consumers left their subsidy are also paying the same price as everyone.
This new tax system will also meet the same fate in upcoming years.

But until 2025 as later govt plans to make new tax regime as the default

If you have 80c -->1.5 lakhs and HRA -->2.8 lakhs and above ,80d insurance 50,000,ppf and income below 20lakhs then only go for old otherwise new is good ..
It was inevitable because my sir always said that govt. is planning to get rid of the tax old regime and also all the deductions. I feel bad because I always loved the old tax regime. After all, we as CA students knew how much difficult it was to understand every section but still, we loved it. Now I remember my sir's words, he used to always say that Income tax rules shall always be useful to taxpayers and it shall not become headache for them.

The best point you highlighted is that this budget is trying push India away from the savings culture. Insurance premiums already attract high GST, if the tax benefits are also removed then it feels like double taxation and it will affect insurance or financial companies and their recruitment. LIC is the biggest of all and the recent Adani controversy will not help them either. If recession hits and people are caught without saving then it's difficult for all.
You want to save and pay less taxes. I hv a larger family, my wife is not working. I hv a sick wife. I will pay tax more. This idiot sells poison and you guys appreciate him. Shame
Exactly. LIC and other insurance companies made a blunder by investing in Adani group even if enforced by the govt. As it turns out SBI (dk about LIC) lost 18000 crs in stock market due to Adani share downfall. That scumbag has caused the most catastrophic Indian market crash in recent history. With this dumb FM we're going more downhill with our economics as time passes.
It took ages for good industrialists like Sir Ratan Tata to build our reputation in world market and scamsters like Adani are on the attempt to destroy this.
Perfect summary of the reality of the new tax regime. Very few have spoken about it and i am glad you raised the awareness on this.
First understand that the old tax regimes was unjust and inequitious. It made the person who could not save owing to his personal circumstances pay more tax. It is most unjust

As a Chartered accounting aspirant I agree with you completely on this aspect. Most people would back off from taking Medical and life Insurance due to New Regime and new investments made would fall down gradually. It would be beneficial to people if government has increased deduction limits U/s 80C. Anyway it was a nice analysis on the New regime of Income tax 👍

@@AnkitKumar-lj8vi Don't you think it would be beneficial to tax payers at large if govt increase limit of 1,50,000 U/s 80C under old regime? This decision might have boosted more savings under Mutual funds,Health insurance,Life insurance, Housing loan repayments and so on. For a developing country savings from public is important in the economy as a whole... I know govt wants to simplify direct tax for tax payers but the new regime doesn't bring anything good for public in my opinion.

There is no change in the basic exemption limit in old regime it is still 2.50 lakhs only
In new regime the Basic exemption is raised to 3 lakhs and rebate is given till 7 lakhs

A better way to implement for insurance could be that a govt sponsored insurance for a certain cover for everyone for which they give a rebate while paying taxes so that user pay less taxes in the new regime. This was one positive that could have propelled better reception in New regime
They will promptly invest that money in and adaani will go bankrupt then bye bye insurance.

6:31 Most people were unaware and couldn't avail a single deduction due to lack of knowledge. Criticism for the sake of criticism is unhealthy. Professional median income in India is over 5 lakh and by making that tax free, consumer spending will increase proportionally in the economy. India's foundation is its consumer strength. Investment in the 5-8 lakh income is marginally low compared to those earning more than 10 lakhs(Top 1%).This is a very good move by the government.

Stock market runs because of investments done by insurance companies, if people stop paying for insurances, stock market will be affected so will be mutual funds, people will buy insurance when they get old not ,during young age unlike now.

One of the superb video I have come across. After the budget, I were thinking like there was nothing for the tax payers like me who opts for old tax regime. But when I started seeing other TH-cam videos most of the TH-camrs were in awe of the new tax regime and in all praise for it.
