i live in small town southern US, literally ever met like 2 indian ppl. after becoming friends w them and through ur channel i now cook and eat indian food literally, LITERALLY every single day. i cant even stand the thought of getting fast food or eating out anymore because i feel like im overpaying and getting food thats honestly not as tasty. my health has improved and i know i now have a skill that will help me throughout life to take care of myself. your channel is such a blessing
Absolutely adore the patterns of creation learned by watching you. I love cooking now because of what I've learned. Just me and husband, retired and having exquisite breakfasts every morning! Whoohoo!
We made this delicious recipe the other night. It is now one of our favorite. It was so fast and convenient to make. It was nice because we had everything on hand. We can’t wait to make it again. Thank you for the lovely recipe.
Omg Chetna, you help me be a great cook! I cooked this yesterday, super fast and easy especially with 2 young kids running around. It is so fluffy and lovely. It did become a little too crunchy some bits at the bottom- that is my fault for putting the fire too hot- Tefal pans hit up real fast and retain the hit too well :) Thanks Chetna eternally gratefully for this channel and your continuance guidance in cooking Indian food that is tasty that is easy.
Just tried making it and came out lovely thanks. In my first trimester and loved the spices and the style . I am à South indian living in Sweden and miss home terribly on these cold winter evenings. Thanks for this recipe !
OMG! Chetna you must be a joy to live with, how your kitchen and lights but You most of all make me wanna be in this video stuck there with your joyous presence expressing your beauty forever.......
Solid dish. Made it for the family this very evening and the whole thing was finished in no time. Used some of the leaves that surround a cauliflower and jasmine (hom mali) Thai rice for 15 minutes exactly. No question they will ask for it again at some stage but it won't be long. Cheers... great vid too.
Hi Chetna that's looks amazing 😋😁 in our house we do cook puloa, biryani and fried rice absolutely my favorites 😍 thank you so much for sharing the recipe, I will definitely try this at home, it taste nice with any veggies and chicken 🍗😁😋🤓 I hope you had a lovely Christmas dinner at your friends 😊❤️
Just had this for tea with the salad and raita, wonderful. I shall be making again. Purchased the Vegan book also for the wife (Christmas present but keep quiet) I suspect it will be me making it. Many thanks Chetna.
I really like the look of all 3 dishes and will definitely give them a try. But, can't your husband /partner cook, or organize a meal for himself and the kids for one night?
Peppers and cabbage don't go with pilaf. They are better for fried rice. You could have used carrots and cauliflower instead. A plate of papads could have rounded off the meal.

For the rice to water ratio in the pan is it double water to rice? So 3 cups rice and 6 cups water?
Yum!
Thanks
Delicious. It's gone in my hand written recipe book (the highest of honours😂) we ate it with the onion salad, mango chutney and poppadoms.
that is so lovely, thank you

Its the real life stuff here
Wondering if you could add a tin of chickpeas to this dish? If yes at what stage of the cooking would you add the chickpeas?
This girls good.
😃😃👍🏻
I really like the look of all 3 dishes and will definitely give them a try. But, can't your husband /partner cook, or organize a meal for himself and the kids for one night?
He was at work and kids studying and I love to cook so yeah!
baby golds are my all-rounders of the aloos (the Kapil Dev of potatoes), though reds, especially baby reds, are close.
they are delicious
Amazing! And easy on the purse too - quick to cook which means less fuel used and left overs can be used up! What’s not to like?!
Yes Anne
Chetna you are so naturally beautiful .....don't worry
Thanks Colleen
Learn to be unapologetically beautiful 😊

More Vegetables + LESS rice is the best!
Yup
