I love the line from Tavington 9:02 “Beautiful country everything grows here” while he hates the colonials he did admire the beauty of the country around him. It really brought out his humanity.
Danny Masterson would have killed it in this film. The only reason he didn’t star in this film was because he gave his word to stay on that 1970’s show. Now Masterson could have just left the show and become one of the biggest movie stars of all time (sorry Tom Cruise), but Mastersons has integrity and character made him stay. Masterson’s film career is A list or better!
I loved this movie also even tho some historians don't like it. I myself am from Camden, South Carolina. Where general Cornwallis had his headquarters for the southern campaign
such an amazing movie... and these little snippets bring a little more in, I understand why they were cut but man these add some flavor and in this day and age we want stuff like this...
the very first deleted scene when told the children to close into the house today and the look he gave Abigale as she helped get the children back inside didn't make it in either, but they did do a similar scene during the nighttime.
09:53 the man held for interrogation by the british is portrayed by hank stone. He portrayed the henchman named Cutter in the movie the punisher (2004). The character was killed when his head was cut by the heavy duty metal blade wielded by frank castle when he was stealthily approached in the hallway outside of the apartment.
I’m pretty sure that all of the deleted scenes expect Heart of a Villain made it into the extended version of the movie. I recognized them when I saw the extended version.

@michael-ir8cj Bro Masterson is not a good person... he’s in prison for 30 years for raping 2 women. I wouldn’t say the man has integrity or good character.
There was one scene where Col William Tavinton caught a bug after which his officer came in to tell the Colonel that Cherokee indian scouts have found one of his men who later told the colonel about the Ghost.
10:08 makes soooo much sense after all these years. The scene after that is Gabriel after he leaves to go catch up to the rest of the continental army and happens to pass by an abandoned house in which a guy comes bursting out of the gate with a horse and carriage taking off with clothes/stuff flying off. Gabriel goes to explore the house ending up on top floor in which Benjamin appears alongside him and from a window they both watch both sides go at again.
I think that scene with Gabriel is earlier in the film. But I do believe the guy who spits in Tavington's face is the guy in the horse and buggy hightailing it away from the abandoned house.
Hi there Bang Gogh. Which particular scene are you referring? Some of the scenes show part content of the original movie but then move into the content deleted from the film. Let us know. Cheers Bang Gogh.
Its really curious as i take a break from playing fallout 4 (yes full of the patriotic...JOY 😉 to have served as a minuteman for my country as my forefathers) that all of Mel's family have the same names as mine in this film; many also fellow veterans. I've heard the historical inaccuracies of this but even for the madman he is😏, mel is one of the best directors and actors I've known. As an Army journalist i clearly see this and he's always welcome to eat at my table. 🤙
The second man the British bring in to interrogate was named Rollins. Earlier in the movie, when Martin was recruiting militia at a frontier tavern, he asked Martin if there was any bounty money for killing Redcoats, & when Martin tells him he can keep or sell the weapons & gear of any Redcoat he kills, he signs on. Rollins was a greedy profiteer at heart, no mistake, but he's not a traitor or a coward. He could have spilled the beans to Tavington & walked away, but he spits in his face & says, "Do your worst!", guaranteeing himself a brutally painful death. Nathan Hale would have shaken his hand for that, you can guarantee.
um the IRS , ATF , CIA and FBI are 100 times more corrupt than the British were or even are today , Americans are too scared and love there positions and money more than freedom , tsk tsk
There was another scene planned in which Adam Baldwin's character, so thoroughly disgusted and disheartened by working with Tavington, ends up outright deserting the British forces and joins the Americans, as said by Baldwin himself.
I love the line from Tavington 9:02 “Beautiful country everything grows here” while he hates the colonials he did admire the beauty of the country around him. It really brought out his humanity.
Thank you for the comments.
spot on... that line is brilliant...
Well, he fertilized it at the end lol

I loved everything about this movie. I wish they would have kept every one of the deleted/extended scenes!
Agreed
I loved this movie also even tho some historians don't like it. I myself am from Camden, South Carolina. Where general Cornwallis had his headquarters for the southern campaign
That second scene is silly with the corpses in the water it didn’t make sense to start out the story in that matter no build up to it

I got the ''Extended Cut and its got all the deleted scenes in the movie itself
Most of these were in the extended edition, besides the one where Tavington interrogates Rawlins
Thank you for your feedback.

One of the best movies ever made. Shame any scenes were taken out. I never spoke to someone that didn’t love this movie.
One of my faves too. IN my top 10.

I wish many of these scenes were never removed, they are quite good.

@@MovieBestBits second that thank you. Definitely everyone watch the extended cut.

General O’Hara’s face 🤣
It would be same as that, some years later when he surrendered to young Napoleon at Toulon.

I love directors cut versions of movies, especially if a movie is very good
Now this movie makes so much more sense with all the deleted scenes.
prisoner:do you're worst
colonel: I always do
best line in movie.
Apparently Tavington's worst was pretty effective. He got that list of names from somewhere!
these.scenes connect alot.... huge okay
Colonel Tavington looks deliciously handsome, especially with his hair down!
Loved this movie. Still do,! Did they sell an extended version with the deleted scenes?
I never knew this existed. ALL of this should have been added in.

Should of left every scene. What an amazing movie.
I still would love to find out exactly where this was shot at. I know it's in South Carolina somewhere, but I mean the actual locations
Im gonna guess I saw the wrong version. I saw this movie with all of these scenes😂😂😂😂
