Start with very less qty of spices (say half spoon) so body gets used to it and then gradually increase to decent level so that they give taste

Is it better to let the oil in the pan get hot first before adding vegetables
The result is the same, I prefer to add them to a cold pan because when you add to hot pan it causes splatters
