Matt Evans here. Thanks for the mention! It was a 6 round event actually and I smashed through chaos cultist spam round 6 as well 😅 no action monkeys but I took fixed engage cleanse every game. Lost to the guard not cause of bullgryn or leman Russ (although those were annoying). But stormsword just one shots a norn every turn. Great content and keep it up!
Good job Matt! Can you please give a short run-down on how your list plays, how you managed to beat the SW "jail" list, and if you plan some changes to your list? Great to see some Norn action, although I'm somewhat surprised of the Assimilator, I wager a guess you wish you'd taken a third Emissary instead?
@@vaettra1589 I have a video recapping it on my own channel into the hive mind. But I really like the assimilator. In this detachment having access to armor of contempt means you don't really need the invuln. I beat space wolf jail pretty easily, just go first lol. But in all honesty I killed all 12 thunderwolf cav in 1 turn leaving just the 4 characters to kill the next turn.
@@deviousdonut Great, I'll check it out! I've really struggled against SW, when they push up and I use all my army to focus down a single group of Thunderwolfs with 1-2 characters, and then get table by the rest. Those 4++ are swingy and sometimes they just make the saves.
Tyrant Guard do not get the +1 to hit / wound in crusher, though the Tyrant/Swarm lord will if 1 Guard dies. It checks if the model is a monster for the +1 to hit and while the unit has the monster keyword the models do not. They can get the full rerolls strat as that only checks if the unit has the monster keyword.

I would say tho, just checking the rules it would seem the HT or Swarmy does get the +1 even a Tguard dies - Each time a TYRANIDS MONSTER model from your army makes an attack, add 1 to the Hit roll if that model’s unit is below its Starting Strength, and add 1 to the Wound roll as well if that model’s unit is Below Half-strength.
thank you for beating me to writing this. Strangle this is why bI sued to (before the changes) use Nerogaunts with the Nerotyrant in crucher, becasue once the layer had killed half of them, hen I have a lovley strength 6 flamer in the middle of the baord to overwatch with.
Looks like Drukhari are currently the top army with a 61% win rate in the Pariah meta. Former top dogs Space Wolves pushed down to second place at 59%, Sisters third at 56% and Blood Angels 56%.
