The list I'm currently running isn't too dissimilar to your first list. I drop Crowe and friends for Draigo and friends. I love Crowe, he wins some match ups by simply existing. But if you run into Knights it's 340 points of dead weight. I'd sub him out for Draigo, or Librarians for T-Sons. Have to test Librarians in that list myself.

Dude, you are stressing yourself and overthinking it, take what you feel will give you the most enjoyment, if you like your Crowe blob, then take them, I love my Paladin blob, with Incinerators. Soi am defo taking them, Do enjoy your videos tho

Where can I find these small RTT'S? I can see all the GT's on UKTC website but struggling to find RTT'S. I have joined two local gaming groups on FB but they just have gaming nights.

Great video! I'm building Agents now that my Deathwatch is dead, I've played one full game so far against Death Guard (very tough match-up). Made mistakes, and lessons learned with the list. Si is very right about surprising your opponent with winning on primaries. End of turn 3, opponent was only 2 VP ahead of me, but I was only down to 2 units left. Really don't want to be taking big fights with these datasheets: as Si said, surprise and subterfuge are your main tools. Doesn't help that plague marines with their aura pretty much nullify anything an Agents list can throw it. Oh well, we're learning the army. I am enjoying the theme and playstyle.

Replacement for BattleScribe: New Recruit. Better. Hack for lunch 🍎🥪: go to grocery store. Get peanut butter (or whatever high fat/protein substitution you heathens use) and some healthy bread or crackers, a piece of fruit, baby carrots/tomatoes, a 2L water + (snack: healthy crispbread + trail mix (not the stuff with the sugar in it)) and you are set all day for your tourney- no need to rush your game or que and you stay on the path to greatness. Also, you should have another 2-4 days of lunches, so super affordable as well, and if you stay away from meat, you don’t even need a fridge. If you want to super power it, 💧💊⌚️⛅️ get another 2L of water, leave in hotel with ibuprofen/Tylenol and force yourself to drink + take the pills before you go to sleep after the bar. Get up the next morning early, go for a short walk outside or hit the gym if you are a Space Marine. You’ll win your first game because the other guy will be asleep till T3.

Where do you find this agents discord?

Tom: two questions. (1) Getting destroyed by AdMech build that is almost all battleline, but is just an overwhelming heavy damage force of vehicles, front line infantry, and weapons of total machine destruction. It makes me actually irritated sometimes that they have such good stats when ours are junk and they deflect shots like they are gravel rocks. I have ended up decimated by the end of T4, or gotten points crushed at the end of T5 every time. Tried numerous builds, but for instance, it targets my HLF (2) and Sagis right off, destroys them, and I have nothing left to kill anything with, really, nor to protect myself with by the end of T2- and there is little I can do to slow the barrage of weaponry and rerolls and tricks they come with- cover is useless. ANY thoughts? (2) Few seem to find value in the Grym (I call him the Wizard lol), but I do, and also in running the BIM separate sometimes? Thoughts? (3) Do you see GW ever fixing the problem of how many models can go into each vehicle? It seems like they weren’t really cognizant of what they were doing when picking the limits? Lastly, ideas for next ones: (1) Deployment strategies (2) How to effectively use enhancements & strategems (army & game) given our limited CP (3) Strategies for choosing token targets at start of game depending on type (or particular) army we are facing. Wow, Chris- totally humbled. Thank you. Look forward to you all every week! Tom- if you actually want to spend time down this rabbit hole: are you the one recording? Often recorder has loudest mic, so that may be it, but didn’t happen w/ Si- do you change any computer, speaker, or other volume settings just for the group? You could also look at vol mod in editing? That said, I wouldn’t worry too much about it because tbh, it is nice to have someone moderating that you can always hear clearly so that you know when someone cuts out it’s them and not you!

Rock and Stone is back! This is the series that introduced me to the podcast recently and I’ve not missed an episode since. Lots of useful information and I’m currently working my way up to 2K points and looking to start going to local RTT’s.

Richard Siegler from Art of War has been having a lot of success with 3x Hekaton Land Fortress builds. Do you have any experience with this style? If not, have you seen data/results elsewhere with it?

The event win (Fall of Empires, Vietnam) while a win nonetheless, was a 4-1. No one in the event got 5-0. So even when votann win, they don't get a prefect dunk.

That was very helpful. Thanks. I find it difficult to predict where my opponent is going to be. I think I am safe, but I'm not. That's my main challenge at the moment. I just played a Tau player who brought a lazer pointer to the game to see if he had line of sight around terrain. I'm going for that tool next time.

Also, this was a great podcast- great chemistry, on topic back and forth, massive amount of useful and timely info, and tbh, pretty unbiased. Si, you are too humble - don’t be afraid to share your expertise- and it IS expertise- everyone else pretending to be experts on this book hasn’t got the history with IA competitive play that you do. You ARE the world’s expert, so don’t be afraid to be that institutional knowledge and tell people: this is not a joke, it IS a 7-8 for IA.

Kyle is one of the few top players I've not talked to, played against or reffed, so someone I know very little about. Seems a lovely guy, great interview, very much enjoyed it and hope I never had to face that list!

Si is a lovely bloke, met him a few times and he has massive kudos from me from what he's achieved. Brilliant episode, was great to get his take on all things IA.
