When comes to singing They are literally legends, we still have respect for all the classic, retro, playback and non playback singers. Their songs still make up our day and the taste is always fresh. To be honest the orchestra music is much better than electronic one. Lata ji, Rafi sir, kishor sir, Manna Dey, Asha ji, Kavita krishnamurti, Alka mam, Udit sir, Kuma sanu and many many more still give the same vibe for all generations.

You forgot/ignored greats like Janaki, Susheela, Sujata, Yesudas, Hariharan, SP Balasubrahmanyam. Also KS Chithra, who I believe has won 6 National awards, highest for any female vocalist in India. Twice that of the great Lata Mangeshkar iirc. Shreya and S. Janaki have 4.
And before you say anything, no they are not *just* singers from the South. They have sung MANY songs in hindi too. They are legendary Indian singers. Specially Chithra, who ruled every language in the South and also in hindi at a time when Alka Yagnik and Kavita were singing almost every song in bollywood.

And when I remind them about greats like Chithra, SBP, Janaki, Yesudas (I'm sure you went and heard KS Chithra's songs after reading my post), they all come with the reply saying "They are south singers". Suggesting songs for reaction and seeking approval are two different things. If a person is not able to get this simple thing, it is no point explaining. PS: I am not one of his subscribers, but often visit his channel for seeing his reactions on some of our talented artists.
