Touch of mother / father & son/ daughter is totally normal here, even considered as best medicine for expressing emotions & betterment of life. It's a cultural difference between countries.

Why the hell were you laughing throughout without understanding any context. Life of we Indians are filled with love emotions and care. Those scenes were before the murder of both her sons who were living in village but they both took rebirth in cities. It was a pure love affection, care and emotions between mother and his two sons who were suffering alot due to the dictator of that village. #KaranArjun and the actor you were talking about is Shahrukh Khan who has been reported worlds biggest superstar by forbes and google.
