My favorite movie "Devdas", it's a classic and a masterpiece with bunch of songs, beautiful sets, actors and their wonderful acting, and best dialogues.
Just watch Veer Zaara - it's a love story and also it tell you a lot about rural India and Indian values. It has the best soundtrack and your will be mesmerized by acting and dialogues. Just trust me watch it with your partner and it will change you completely

The best one to start with would be 3 idiots, you'll get a bit of everything in a very realistic way, plus its globally pretty popular. Bum Bum Bole, Zindagi na Milegi Dobara, Pk, Taare Zameen Par, Ra-One, Dangal are also some of my favorites and I believe will go more with your taste.

The reason why you find these clips random is because the scenes in those respective clips are based on movie story….. it can be a party song or a heartbreak song or love at first sight song or a wedding song or a song dedicated to parents etc etc… since you are unfamiliar with all these movies and their story lines that’s why you find these clips very random and that’s totally fine :)

Start with 3 idiots, DDLJ, Kabhi khusi kabhi gaam (you'll hear the best songs in these two movies) then Mohabbatein (the best one so far), Kahona pyaar hain (has beautiful music again) also Kuch Kuch hota hai

Not only a great movie but the music is excellent - it has quite a variety of playback singers and all the songs are with music from old and untouched compositions from Madan Mohan. I rewatched this with my family a couple days ago and there wasn't one song where weren't singing as collective.
