I like the unspoken implication that - by instructing Nixon to record everything - the Doctor is indirectly responsible for the Watergate scandal. When Neil Armstrong passed away a little over a year after this episode aired, fans would quote Matt Smith's speech about him and the moon landing as a tribute.
Oh damn, nice catch on the implication! Love all the ways they hint and imply over the Doc changing and impacting histroy. Aww that's so lovely, was a beautiful speech by the Doctor about him
Watching nearly every episode this season makes a lot of sense. I couldn't remember many specific episodes this season because it felt like one long timey-wimey episode. Everything flows so well.
One of the craziest, most frantic episode openings ever. 15:48 Possibly the best scene in the episode. A flash of lightning and the marks just appear. Brilliant. I love that this episode makes Nixon a hero while not erasing what he did.
It really is, so much happening all at once it's insane!! It's so well done, love the horror who part of this and that shot especially was great! Agree, trying to just erase what he did would be crazy so glad they didn't
I did😂 I was so distracted with "Holy s### Amy is pregnant?!" and going to pause to react and talk that I missed it switching to negative 😂 I do notice it next time out though!
I love your reactions, franckly ! Just a little mental note (not a spoil, I promise). The Doctor and River are not fully front to back. They are mostly but .... Not fully. It's important to keep this in mind.
Aww so glad you're enjoying!! Ooo thank you for the mental note!! That does make sense and a good thing to remember because yeah, we've met River at different points already in her life so not FULLY back to front. Will make sure to keep in mind thanks!
Hi . At 40.27 that is not actually correct. They are meeting in the wrong order but not 100% in reverse order. So, just because it is the Doctor's first kiss does not mean it is River's last one. She is just saying there must be a last one - but cannot at that point know her own future and so does not know it is the last kiss . The library happened to be the Doctor's first meeting and River's last, but (timey wimey) it didn't have to be. Remember also what she said about the screwdriver in the Library, and the previous meeting from her perspective. If you number the meetings in the Doctors timeline as say 1-10, all we really know (until we see the loop close) is that River's ends with 1, but it could be 6 9 7 10 8 4 5 2 3 1 . You already have confirmation that it is not a simple 100% reversal because in Impossible A / Day of the Moon they BOTH remember the Pandorica - so this is not a spolier. When you get to the end (or beginning) eventually there are some great infographics available to show how it all connects - even where Jim the Fish fits in! To look for one now would be major spoilery.
Yes! Thanks for pointing out and you are very right. Not fully in reverse order which I will make sure to note going forward cause it is a v v important detail of course!
I know you're ahead of where your reactions are up to, but just wanted to point out you seemed to be under the impression at the end of this episode that Amy was pregnant, but it was supposed to be left indecisive. That's why it kept flashing between positive and negative
Yes, what happened was I was so in shock at it saying positive and going to pause to react and talk that I just missed it going to negative right after😂 But I do realise at the start of next ep so no worries on that!!
I do love the bit with Nixon having music play whenever he walks into a room. I wish that happened to me.
Just become a professional wrestler! 😝
It cracked me up everytime, it's so goofy I love it so much 😂😭
The moon an egg? hahah that's insane.......
Literally so insane, that could never happen... unless 😳

100%, everything just knits and connects together so much that just makes sense!
10th and martha said they watchted the moonlanding together in blink
Yes!! Good catch
@@MatthewGCWReacts do you think they killed some of the silence too
"it's Neil Armstrong's FOOT" lolol
I Love the ending music in this episode.
Also Amy was worring about her child having a time head, and oh look!
It's amazing, Murray Gold is truly a magician!
Literally, justified worry Amy 😂
How many times have I rewatched this episode? I’ve forgotten. There’s so much to unpack here. . .
I see what you did there 😆
😂 SO much to unpack, really jumping in full steam ahead here
Getting confused between Neil Armstrong and Lance Armstrong...you are hopeless with names! I love you man XD
I am hopeless at names honestly, just one of those things 😂😂

Did you miss that the scanner couldn't decide if Amy was pregnant or not?
I did😂 I was so distracted with "Holy s### Amy is pregnant?!" and going to pause to react and talk that I missed it switching to negative 😂 I do notice it next time out though!

This was my first episode I really saw, it got me hooked and wanting to watch the show. That was years ago and I love this show now
That's fair, it's a very cool and intriguing episode, easy to get you hooked from here!!
I can't believe that the first man to set foot on the moon ruined his reputation through taking steroids to win a bike race.
Same, like how you gonna do that to your career of a bicycle 😂
Can't believe you missed that - The Doctor is getting fluctuating readings indicating that Amy is both pregnant and not pregnant in rapid sequence.
Was so in shock and rushing to pause and talk that I just missed it 😂 Realise at the start of next ep though so no harm done!
The moon being a giant egg is a good theory. And who says it isn't?......
Literally with Doctor Who it wouldn't suprise me at some point😂

I like to play a little game called “spot the tiny adipose “
Actually the pregnancy test switched between positive and negative.
Yeah realised at the start of next ep!!! Was so caught off guard by the positive didn't even notice it changing 😂
