Hi 👋, I'm the woman who asked if you could show me how to make stoppers using my decoupaged oyster shells. You said you would like to try it. I'm guessing E 6000. I saw them on etsy. They looked like maybe a resin mold was used to submerge the pointy end of the shell in resin. I don't know. What do you think?😊
So I tried E6000 (not for video) and it runs too much. I used leftover resin that was thickened, and it worked brilliantly! I just posted the video. And I am working on another using UV resin!
These are super cool. Is it possible that a little selective surface scuffing of the stopper would help it adhere to whatever adhesive you used? Just thinking is all... 😅 And love the idea of an ooops basket!
I am so sorry, but you have introduced yourself twice since I subscribed several weeks ago, but I have a hearing problem and I can’t understand, so please, what is your name? I LOVE these bottle stoppers! If I were near you (I am in North Carolina), I would buy these in a heartbeat. That being said, I would probably want a crushed glass Christmas tree, some wine glasses and a few ornaments. Lol. Thanks for sharing this with us and can’t wait to see what you do with more of these.
my name is Edwige. I stopped doing my intro, but should I start back with it at the beginning? I thought folks might be tired of it by now. Thank you for joining! I am excited to make more of these too. I think they will be good sellers! I’ll let you know if I am ever at a show in NC. ❤️❤️❤️
Personally, Edwige, I like the introduction from crafters that I have been watching for years, because they are getting new subs all the time (with any luck) and I guess I am old-school and just like to know who I am watching and interacting with in the comments. I am in no way trying to tell you how to manage your channel, just a personal opinion that meant no harm.
Thanks for the video! I have been making these and really struggling to get my stoppers to stay on the resin. I was thinking of trying this method because the E6000 did not hold mine!
I love the idea of an oops basket. I’ve been wondering what to do with my “less than perfect” pieces!! Thank you.

E6000 would work, but let me do some thinking today. It’s a rainy day here, so lots of time for thinking! Thank you for that reminder. Stay tuned !

Yes, absolutely

Love watching your mistakes, so mine are less. That way I don't get discouraged !😊
Agreed! Thank you for that feedback, I appreciate it very much!

You are so welcome!
That wreath behind your head makes it appear as part of your hair!
lol
Did you find the resin held the stopper well
yes, it really did!
How much do these sell for? To anyone who sells theirs.
Can I be honest? I decided not to sell these at shows. I have some more work to do to make these better!
Hi, I put my molds into an empty egg carton. They sit perfect.
That’s a great idea for storage!
Sorry, no
🤷🏻♀️
