Hi, I’m Edwige - A Coastal Magnolia. I live in coastal Florida, and the hues of the ocean and the vibrant outdoors find their way into my creativity. Think you are not creative? I believe everyone has the ability to be creative, it just may be in different ways. Maybe painting is not your thing, or woodworking. Well, I don’t focus on one type of art or craft here. I paint, I work with resin, I’m a beast with power tools, and I even sew once in a while. You’ll never know what I’ll be doing next!

I needed to see this today I miss the sea so much. I love that you experiment and no 2 are the same. If you watered down paint and mix some oil in it that might work. How much do you sell these, if you sell the shells for $5.00? You can totally find tiny iridescent seed beeds in different sizes and in all colors sold on hanks. Look up seed beads. Thanks

This wood is _re-used,_ not recycled - there is a difference! Recycling is taking waste materials and using processes to convert them back into _raw materials._ eg recycling plastic vending cups into new mouldable plastic to then make pencils. That aside, the mirror is absolutely lovely.
It’s both! Recycling is turning waste in to new material, which is what I am doing!
@@ACoastalMagnolia New _raw_ materials. For the wood pieces to be recycled, they'd need to be chipped, turned into shavings or sawdust, and then made into something else - like MDF.
Hmm, the EPA says Recycling is the process of collecting and processing materials that would otherwise be thrown away as trash and turning them into new products. Maybe we can agree that the definition is open to interpretation.

I can’t help but wonder how these hold up at the point where the stopper is attached with the resin, with the multiple times it’s pulled off the wine bottle. Isn’t that a weak point? These are beautiful
Yes, it absolutely can be a weak point, but the stopper is not super tight. Or, you can just drink all the wine in one big glass…problem solved.
Yeah when you was put in the wire on I was thinking makes no sense and it doesn't look good you can just do it without wire yeah no wire is better

I always thought you are suppose to use masks when working with resin. Is this a type of resin that you don't have to do that?
I have excellent ventilation in my studio and do not wear one. It’s not always necessary to wear one.

I don’t know if anyone else suggested this, but you could give the trinket jars (from your other video) the same treatment. The trinket jar that you did the acrylic paint pour and resin on the lids. Adding the “mermaid trash” would be so pretty! These shells are beautiful!🤩

Do you need to seal the wood with anything first? I've heard that the wood will absorb all of the resin.
