MR340 2023 - A Year of Headwind and High Water!

This event has been on the bucket list for a long time. It is well outside my wheelhouse as most of my adventures are on land. Previously, my kayak record was 13 miles. However, I love finding new ways to test my limits and grow as an athlete and this race definitely accomplished both of those objectives! I felt truly connected with nature. The headwinds made me cry, the sunset made me smile, and the constant rhythm of my paddling put my mind at ease. This is truly a one-of-a-kind experience and I highly recommend it.
Unfortunately, the river reached flood stage and the race was called off at 3pm on Wednesday. I made it 197 miles in 33 hours and finished 10th overall in the men's solo division. I will return to complete the race in its entirety and assert my dominance over the river!

The Epics are fast. In your video I saw my boat on the ramp at Glasgow. I took 3 1/2 hours off at Glasgow and launched after you. You also need to study paddling technique to get max benefit off the boat. @@Cody-does-things
