Baibars Hotel and Restaurant - Just across the hill from Krak des Chevaliers castle is an amazing family who stayed in this region. They run a guest house and serve some amazing home made Syrian food including some of the best garlic grilled chicken, braised eggplant, lamb kebabs in pomegranate molasses. Total price - 700,000 SYP ($46.66)
Krak des Chevaliers - Next we visited the stunning Krak des Chevaliers, one of the world’s most preserved and intact Crusader castles.
Jarjour Winery - In this same region, they are Jarjour Winery is aiming to preserve 10,000 years of wine history in Syria!
LeMond Restaurant - For dinner there weren’t too many restaurants open, but Rami took me to eat at a restaurant serving Shakriyeh - Syrian yogurt stew. Total price - 250,000 SYP ($16.66) for everything

It was so bad situations with them .. and I know their behaviors not the same towards different nationalities.. their behaviors just like turks .
We have a Syrian restaurant in my city in Pakistan, opened by a Syrian family and now its one of the best places.
They are humble and generous.
What happened with the ordinary people is heartbreaking and those who created this mess don't have any idea how much suffering is common people are facing.

But I wonder why you have never been to Algeria 🇩🇿 if you search for authenticity, great cuisine and good people, you should consider it. The country has not based its economy for mass tourism, thankfully, compared to Morocco and Tunisia. It has so diverse scenery, mountains, desert, seaside.

What Mark is doing is misinforming his viewers about life in Syria today.
15 million Syrians have been displaced, 6 million are living if foreign refugee camps.
These are facts and Mark is distorting the truth with his fancy videos. He just wants to make money. But Syrians are suffering every day and that is what should be highlighted, not some fancy Syrian food that 90% of Syrians never eat.
You Mohamed are deluded if you think Mark Wiens is doing a good job, misinformation in reality here is just propaganda for Assad, but the aid agencies depend on donations to help Syrians (no Muslim countries are providing Syria with food aid) and people seeing the videos Mark is posting will think Syria is OK and needs no help....we all know that is NOT true.
