Anoushoka played in front of GOD of Sitar Pt Ravi Shankar and with GOD of Tabla Ustad Zakir Hussain. Pandit Ravi Shankar seemed happy that was the best appreciation she can wish for. Amazing experience for someone like me who is novice in Indian Classical Music.

This clip is more poignant after Anoushkas touching tribute to Zakirji upon his passing. She talked about how supportive he was when he accompanied her in her younger years. How he made sure to keep her steady and share his own nervousness when he was thrust on stage at an early age. There’s so much more than music happening on that stage
She is to till in reyazing time span.One must encourage her.Actually Raviji has reformed the instrument & removed the noise jawari makes in fast tempo.Those who post negative comments in this hindu era is envied only.They can't enjoy music as various flowers aroma......fragrance......
Onnnlly an onnly zakkirbhai has made this whole boring sitar performance an interesting one by showing his meticulous skills of accompanying , kudos to him , i think there is not much problem with anushkaji bt what actually lacks is the whole gharana (style of presentation and ragdari and laykari and etc) itself , and this i am forced to say after listening to 10s of this gharana sitar players right from raviji upto his disciple ... rikhiram .. and if one does not beleive me then he or she can go and listen to sanskriti wahane who has not only given her 100 percent after practice bt also the gharana has beautiful style , someone who hate listening classical would also start loving it after listening to even sanskriti wahane who is just a child , and if one is fortunate enough to listen to shahid ji then that is a whole different impact 🙏
This certainly can be called an excellent piece of composition, but falls short from the standards of a Hindustani Classical Music Concert. The mainstay of HCM is "Improvisation" where the artistes combine impromptu while performing. The Tabla player kept asking for time to perform and combine(to know this requires a very keen sense of listening) and show his skills but the sitar player stubbornly refused all such requests and kept on reeling her pieces which she had practiced well and had memorised by rote!!
It seems u love jaakeer saaheb... Ofcourse..every body loves him.. In this program.. Your duty is.. only giving blessings to an future 🌹 artist.. No bad comments R criticism.. Try to control your negative emotions.. Is there any need to jaakeer saaheb to prove himself.. again and again... Sir... I beg u to understand... With humble pranaams ... Jk.Bharavi
This performance is anything but boring . Any one who does not believe so , need his IQ or sitar knowledge checked . Anushka was very young then -and need to factor that in
One can't judge his musical boredom using his 'knowledge' but how it touches the string of heart. If you don't believe, I doubt musical mind. It's more boring...

It sounds like a very well rehearsed piece. Even her smile in between looks fake. There are much better performances from Anoushka
Would have liked her to try and have more interaction with the greatest tabla maestro playing with her instead of playing like a monologue.
