Hello Cliff & Diane your garden is beautifull and so healthy you have both have done marvellous again, i love watching your videos so thank you for sharing your knowledge ❤ take care.
Thanks Lonegunwomen, the tomatoes are honey bee my mistake, bumble bee tomatoes are yellow with a stripe. Thanks for watching watching regards from us both.
I can’t believe that your tomato’s have ripened so soon! This year has been challenging for sunshine and mine are really struggling. Your harvest are always something of envy so thank for sharing and keep up the good work. Always looks amazing. 😀
Thanks Mark, The first tomatoes are honey bee they are known to fruit early. The rest are only just turning, like you say we could do with some warm weather regards Cliff.
I always enjoy your videos, nice and gentle! You make gardening look easy, but as a fellow gardener I know that a garden like yours takes a lot of good wholesome hard work! Cauliflower cheese was always a mainstay in my family but alas I just can’t get cooked cauliflower past my lips 😢. Leeks wrapped in ham and baked in a cheese sauce is more my cup of tea! Thanks for the video!
Thank you very much Klaus, leeks wrapped in ham in a cheese sauce sound delicious, will have to get Diane to bake for me. Thanks for watching regards Cliff.
Your harvesting is way ahead of any that I’m waiting for and looking very nice ! Mine are growing very well but still quite a way to go before picking! Those Cauliflowers really look good just like all of your growing. We are still very short of sunshine in this area, seems to be nothing but thick cloud just going around and around! Have a great week, keep safe and will be looking forward to your videos next week, Dave,👍👍
So nice of you Dave, I have harvested some more cauliflowers today as they are beginning to stretch. The light levels are all over the place making harvesting a bit hit and miss, in different parts of the country. Hopefully things improve soon regards Cliff.
Nice harvest as always Cliff!! The day I will be able to grow Cauliflower would be a happy day indeed!! Small ones look alright for me!! I can't use up the big Caulifowers in time sometimes!!
Thanks Adam, those summer cauliflowers don't get very big, although the small one were a bit on the small side but usable. Thanks for watching regards Cliff.
Hi there Cliff and lovely Diane How nice is that to have your first tomatoes and having the old taste of tomatoes is even better , I've had terrible trouble with spring onions this season getting them to germinate, Was that a hint to lovely Diane that you would like a cauliflower cheese with the small cauliflowers. Don't blame you one of our favourite meals.
Thanks Bill & Val, I did notice the spring onions were bad germinating this year, like a lot of seeds. I did get better results putting the seed trays outside in the shade, once showing but still not great. Yes It was a hint Bill still waiting regards from us both.
Very good information! I prefer the older tomato flavor. It’s a bit more acidic and acid adds flavor , just like adding a squeeze of lemon juice can add flavor (not saying tomatoes have a lemon flavor, though) . I grew up on a farm and the tomatoes we grew all those decades ago are still the best I have ever had. I guess I didn’t know how good I had it food wise back then. 😀
Cliff your videos are fantastic your near the last old style English dig for victory gardener monty Don would learn a few things from you. Do you prune a damson tree the same way as your plum tree. In the summer for pruing all stone fruits. Thanks again cliff .
Yet another cracking video Cliffy of your very tidy / productive garden - puts mine and my allotment to shame 😂. Very impressed with those mega spring onions - what variety are they - Gaurdsman or did you try something else this year 🤔
Morning Cliffe and diane, How do you support your broadbeans, and what meal do you use the beans for, First time growing broadbeans, and sprouts, My sprouts look fantastic, but the15 plants I have are about 2ft now,and my net is about 2ft high ,how much taller do they get, thanks
Hi David, we like the broad beans in parsley sauce, with gammon and new potatoes. They can be used in winter dishes Stews, casseroles etc. The sprouts can grow up to 3 feet, depending on the variety. I do remove my insect mesh in September, and cover the top with loose net to keep the pigeons off regards from us both.
As always another great vlog and wonderful harvest 👍
Glad you enjoyed it Janet. Its nice to be harvesting some crops regards Cliff.
