Thank you for being you Gaz, and much thanks to your mom & team. Keep doing what you do - inspiring humanity with your grounded passion. Keep listening to the nature surrounding you, the flora and fauna; and continue to follow the light that’s in your heart. It’s a beacon of hope and beauty. Where others are noisy and imbalanced, you bring peace and harmony. You are a gift from the stars ✨ and a gift from Mother Earth 🌍. Where you lead, many listens. You have the world learning from you, being inspired by you, and appreciating life with Mother Earth. Thank you. ❤
Amazing comment. Glad people still communicate with heart. Feel the same as you. I don't waste much time with videos nowadays. But somehow everytime I watch Gaz videos I never close it. You can feel the true joy in him. At least that's how I feel about it. Much love to you all and keep doing the best you can.
I'm away on holiday for a few days with my son at the beach. We are both on our phs doing stuff&I put your video on quietly&he said, mum is that the guy that cooks as well lol told him your name&said, yeah him,I recognized his voice so I said goody, can I turn it up lol so we both watched your video 🙂🙂 I was admiring your wooden fence you have made at different hights 👌
Gaz, you aren't just a chef, or gardener. You & your team are a whole culture & vibe! ✊🏽 Seriously though your channel has inspired me beyond words. Its through watching you (and I've followed you since your London days) that I've purchased an acre of land a begun my journey of growing all of my family's food. Much love from nearby Detroit, Michigan.
It's called grounding Chef Farmer Gaz. You said "my bum is on the ground right now." Wherever we live we must connect with the earth. I live in the big city and have to go to the park & walk barefoot to reconnect during summer. Didn't understand why I needed to until recently. You are good people Chef Farmer Gaz What you're doing is what others wish for. Keep on being you. We appreciate and love you. Stay Blessed.
I have so appreciated the simple, natural feel of your channel since moving out of the city. We were created to draw pleasure from growing our food and creating with our hands. Thank you for the inspiration.
This was very relaxing and peaceful to watch. I'm in burnout and this was so inspiring. I hope I (and other who need this) can get back to myself and be doing what's right in the near future too.
I watch all the gardening TH-camrs, but not too many of them link gardening, foraging and cooking in the simple way you do. Also love your enthusiasm 😊 definitely keep going!
It was already in my mind, but since I started watching your videos, I have been growing food on my rooftop terrace. I have already harvested spinach, physalis, and aromatic herbs. We will soon have peppers (from an island called La Palma), tomatoes, hokaido pumpkins, carrots, and maybe next year, some passion fruit. Thanks for being such an inspiration. My boyfriend and I are definitely dreaming of living in a larger house with a garden.
From someone with a house and a big veggie garden: the way your doing it is the best! Starting out smaller how to grow is not so overwhelming and you're not in danger of burning out your motivation! It's what I would recommend to everyone, don't wait for the garden, grow wherever you can (microgreens don't even need light). And learn how to cook and preserve your food before you also have spend so much time harvesting. Well done 🙌
Gaz I absolutely urge you to read Eating to extinction by Dan saladino!! It’s about foods that are going extinct and why we need to preserve them! It just further justifies the fact as to why growing our own food is so important for our future.
I live in small country Latvia-Europe,we have long winters, but Summer is the best season-all this small bio farmers,I’m so thankful that I can order this fresh, green, seasonal vegetable, green, and so much more 🙏🙏🙏☘️☘️☘️💚 I agree You -every person/people who grow clean fresh bio food is blessed 🙏🙏🌱🌱🌱 I have small garden too,but I support my bio farmers, because,it do the best,I growing the food, provides for his family🙏🌱🙌 And I now about this “chicken” mushrooms, because they also grow in Latvia
Such inspiring content!!! You should WIN the award for the classiest Videographer!!! I am now fully addicted to all things Gaz Oakley, and my gardening experience id about 4yrs as well, but on a less grand scale. Thank you!🎉
Gaz, as you try to root the cutting, take out the flowers so the energy goes to growing the plant rather than fruiting. You may bury as much of the stem as possible in the soil as it will grow roots all along the stem. Beautiful homestead. Thank you for sharing.
Gaz i have to say i just watched your vegan lasagne video from 5 years ago. Hand on my heart your am inspiration, over the past few years seeing your transformation physically, emotionally, professionally. Just pure hope and inspiration so i clicked on your page to see your just recent video which is this (haven't watched yet) just wanted to commend you in how far you came am sure the gaz 5 years ago is proud. Keep to the good work. And thank you for teaching me how to cook vegan food all those years ago🙏
When you're overrun with yellow courgettes/crookneck squash, dehydrate them and grind them to make courgette flour. Also you can ferment them just like you do with your tomatoes.
As a gardener myself, I'd love to see more garden videos! They're so relaxing :) That's why I started and keep on gardening - it calms me down and helps me so much with my mental (and physical) health ❤
Love the gourd puns! 🤣 and thank you for sharing about the “chicken of the woods”! Never knew its name and wish to find and see it in person one day!! That’s amazing!! Please keep sharing 😍
I have also been guided by the universal spirit back home, to nature. I'm journeying into gardening this next year. My family gardened growing up and the more I learn about plants and the ecosystem around me the more I feel the true magic in this reality. Technicians of the divine, a gardener. Cheers.
beautiful video again, my girlfriend and I watch all your videos since many years and always make it a cozy moment every couple of days watching them. we loved the music in this one a lot by the way! we also moved out of the city (to another country) and started growing food, right now it’s only a rental garden but one day we will have our own and will grow even more. you are one of our few main inspirations on so many levels, so please never stop to share your passion, growth and spirit.
Please never stop doing these garden videos, they are my favourites ❤ they're a real moment of piece and hope for the furture. It feels really good to see people living this life. It's my 3rd year of gardening, I love it, and your videos still are really inspiring. Big hug from Belgium 🥰
@@buxus3770A plot of land reflects the one who stewards it. We just sold a property that we put so much hard work into. Everyone who viewed the property commented on how peaceful, beautiful and loved the place is. We did not get paid to steward it, nor did we put it on TH-cam.
You are such a beautiful soul, thanks for sharing your sacred space with us. I so relate to your ideas and feelings in the garden. Please keep up the great work 🙏😍🌿
This is so wholesome, makes me really happy. Please never stop with these videos! 🙏Very inspirational and makes me wanna move to the countryside every single time...😍

Hello from South Australia (Welsh ex-pat here). Thank you for working so hard at your you tube videos, your garden and kitchen bring me much joy… keep going boyo!
This video is so incredibly beautiful. Watching you over the last 5 years now, I have to say, Gaz, I have never seen you so full of life and vitality before. Eating plants is one thing (an incredible thing of course), but being in nature, and especially growing your own food is beyond words of joy and peace. I can truly feel your beautiful soul through this video. Thank you for being brave and always sharing 🌿✌🏼🌳 lots of love.
Hey Gaz! Love your videos as always, just a farmer giving quick advice here, you don’t necessarily have to always prune the suckers off of tomatoes. There are determinate and indeterminate varieties. For determinate for example, they have a set amount of flowers that will turn into the fruit so you would want to leave as much suckers because those are the stems that create those flower clusters on determinate varieties as possible. I do agree though about pruning your indeterminates just to provide a bit more airflow and to create a cleaner, less bushy plant.
I believe you are supposed to dig a whole in the wood chips before adding your compost because as the plants grow and the roots hit the wood chips it ends up being a bit too acidic for them. Maybe they decompose before that though. Thats just what I remember someone doing before
❤❤❤ your videos Gaz! They are BRILLIANT. I get great inspiration and not ashamed to say.. a little garden envy. Your garden is GORGEOUS. Keep up the good work! 🪴🌱🌿🍅🥬🥒🌶️🍆🥕🥦💚

Love this content. I started my first garden this spring. A small raised bed and had my first harvest today 🎉 my summer squash was so buttery and tender much butter than the store! Keep up the gardening videos. When God made man He put us in a garden for a reason 😊
if those green beans grow, you should make gigantes, it’s a traditional greek dish of the big plump beans in a lovely tomato sauce, it’s warm and comforting and delish!🥰
Dear Gaz, I am so happy about your wonderful transformation. It's so good for you and you radiate it too. Im excited about your paddy pan squash!! Can hardly wait to see how you cook them. My sister introduced them to me 50yrs ago. Seeds are hard to find here in Oregon. I love to eat them!!!. I enjoy watching your growth & changes. Im learning from you still, Im 76yrs old. Paddy Pan squash is so good. I put in a small garden this yr after no gardening about 3 yrs. Contest for largest sunfliwer plant between you & your mom will be fun to watch. Im pulling for your mom to win, cause Im a mom( no hard feelings I hope). I think alot of you-- you are great!!!😊😊😊God bless you from grandma Katie in Oregon,USA
I hope they are gourd-geous for you! I could see you being mates with my daughter. She is Welsh, Vegan and currently studying Biology at Oxford Uni working to be a fungi specialist! We have recently started growing asparagus and peaches here in Wales
Thank you so much for not just spreading inspiration, but also creating a community where it's normal to love exercising, cooking and growing your own food. I've followed your for over five years and it's such a joy to take part of all of your life-adventures. Keep up the good work!
Gaz, can you make a tutorial on how to get started on growing your own things, especially for those of us with regular backyards? 😂😅 which essential plants etc?
LOVE your garden! Yes, more please! And I personally think you never have too many crookneck squash. They are a slightly sweet type of yellow zucchini - and are really nice in a savoury stir-fry - or stuffed and baked - and they are great in desserts. They are wonderful in zucchini bread (that not-too-sweet type of coffee cake loaf, aka "quick bread" so popular in America). ENJOY!
OMG!!!!!!!! We have a chicken of the woods that grows once a year in my parents’ backyard and we harvested it this week! I am eating it in a taco RIGHT NOW. HOLY MOLY THE UNIVERSE!!! I love seeing you forage! Hope you host some foraging tours in the future! Youd be a great guide.
Love, Love Love your videos and recipes. I made my daughter the mushroom "swarma" and my gosh she loved it. She is a picky eater, so points to you for coming up with such a great recipe. Your garden is so lush and productive, so you must write an organic gardening book with photos from your garden and all your tricks of the trade to grow a bountiful yield of produce. Making fertile compost is not easy. Would love to know your recipe to produce large veggies. I also love it when you cook your recipes outside at your garden kitchen. Foraging for food is quite a talent. Good for you to go down this road. I also believe because you are such a happy and kind hearted soul your vegetables and fruits want to please you. They must pick up some great vibes from you when you are in the garden. Happy Growing and I look forward to more garden videos. Eat healthy!
I've been following you for 4 years now and you also inspired me to garden! Loving your content it feels really authentic! And I am definitely competing in the 'biggest sunflower' challenge 😊
Your personal style has changed so much; so much softer more genteel and natural.

You can always replant a branch like that, just propagate the branch to root by putting it in water, like in a vase.
