    Good review. I use this 1301 Comp for 3 gun. Only complaint is it double feeds RIO metric shells. Loves winchester cheap stuff and everything else. I think the dilemma for the RIO (.5mm rim diameter difference from standard) is caused by the fact I have a Briley extension tube that makes the capacity 11+1, which increased spring tension on the shell stop.

    Hi Adriel. I have a quick question. On the receiver of my 1301 comp(24" barrel), I have four plastic plugs. How do I remove them to install a rail?

    Very good review. There's another video by MrGunslinger on TH-cam mentioning a fatal flaw of this shotgun..some double feed after one hits the button on the right...can you, please, address that in another video?
    Thanks.

      If you were to hit the back of that button, sure because the button is connected to the shell latch. Some other semi auto shotguns are designed the same way, makes it handy for unloading at the end of your run because you can push the latch up and pull rounds straight out of the tube using the back of the bolt release button.

    I’m having an issue with mine. I can’t load more than 2 rounds in the magazine tube. Should hold 5 but I can’t get the third in there. Any suggestions?

    • @Huntinggearguy
      @Huntinggearguy  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There's probably a plastic plug in there so you can hunt waterfowl (2 in tube + 1 in chamber for waterfowl). Just unscrew the cap at the end of the tube and there's probably a plastic stick there.

      The Hunting Gear Guy you are correct. Thank you very much. I just installed a lancer 5+ tube extension and found that plastic stick inside

    What barrel length would you recommend for someone new to 3 gun?

    • @Huntinggearguy
      @Huntinggearguy  ปีที่แล้ว

      I really like 24" but you can make do with any length as long as it has interchangeable chokes.

    Can you put on a mag +2 or +3extension for 3 gun in Canada??

    I really want to like this shotgun, but the ability to jam up the gun by dropping more shells than needed or when you didn't want them, kills it for a home defense shotgun for me. This will, however, be amazing for hunting and skeet.

      Yeoman Archer aridus industries makes a aluminum button for 60$ which prevents that feature from being used thus eliminating the flaw making it able to be reliably counted on for a variety of uses.

    You kinda glossed-over the fact that the mid-barrel bead fell off, but that's a real red flag to manufacturing issues for me. For a +$1,200 shotgun, that's completely unacceptable.

    • @alexpearson8481
      @alexpearson8481 ปีที่แล้ว

      It could be just hard use. Maybe they caught it on something. Maybe he glossed over it, knowing he caused himself?

    They screwed up by not moving the serial number. That port isnt open near enough.

    • @Huntinggearguy
      @Huntinggearguy  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wonder how hard it is to re-stamp the serial number and if it's legal in Canada.

    • @gradyhue
      @gradyhue 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Hunting Gear Guy We looked into it down here and there are some provisions for doing it in certain situations, but it relates to old firearms where they are so worn that they have to be re-stamped.
      Some people have done it but last I heard the ATF hadn't replied on a request for info on it.
      Up there i have no idea at all.

      The Hunting Gear Guy I talked to our match director for our 3-Gun. He worked for Beretta up until about 6 months ago. I asked him about the SN# and he said that the they moved it on the newer ones.

    The switch on the outside of the receiver is for breech loading when empty. In this way you can load lefty, a single round, and begin loading the magazine while hot.........inaccurate review. should have read the manual.
