We need an update on Peter. Where has he been?
The kid with the foxbody likely needs motor mounts. The BBK headers fit pretty good normally, but I’ve had the same problem in 2 foxbodies. Got headers thinking it would be easy, go to put them on, they hit everywhere. Realize the fan is close to or touching the fan shroud, realize the mounts have collapsed, install, finish installing headers with no trouble. I’ve had to replace mounts on cars with under 100k miles too, so yes. They do go bad quickly due to the engine being torquey.
Hey alex I just wanted to say I actually appreciate the "story" of your videos a lot, there is a feeling of accomplishment watching a video where a full 'something" has been done which I really love. You and chris fix are the ones that gave me the confidence to buy a beat up car as a project and learn. So keep making us wait for your top notch quality videos and thank you and love from israel!
What happened with Peter?
Love this stuff. Reminds me of the backyard mechanics of yesteryear before Uncle Sam decided to get involved. I bought a 66 GTO when my uncle sent me home . 4 spd tri power, and my dad said it was the only thing he ever drove where the speedo went hard right and the gas gauge went hard left at the same time! I really appreciate your enthusiasm and the fact that you never change your vocabulary when you run into problems.
How about what ever happened to Peter? Did I miss something or did he just disappear?

For Eli, tell him to scrap the BBK Clutch cable. They're known to stretch and break. Factory ford/ford performance if you can find one or Steeda are the way to go. But.... If he's still got the factory plastic quadrant get that out asap and grab a steeda billet quadrant. When he installs it make sure itls hung properly. you can usually kind the steeda kit with cable, quadrant and firewall adjuster for $130-150. And then after that order a nice MGW shifter. He'll never look back again. Or he can sell the car to me ill evven let him keep the motor and tranny so i can drop my 408w in it.
I think you and Derek from vice grip garage should meet up and race grand nationals.

Paint the van white and do a LSC libery! That would be awesome! Love the story about your Mom and the E55! Great to see the red Fox body, love the sound of the engine as well. That NSX sounds SWEET! OJ did a great job!

For your van paint job, I'd recommend Explorer Vans paint fade colors. They have a White to Silver fade that looks pretty cool. My parents had a Toreador Red to Black Cherry fade that looked incredible.
Great project with your kids. My dad used to take a small engine repair class at the local tech school on Thursday nights and then on Saturday mornings, he would teach me what he learned from the most recent class. My dad passed when I was still in high school, but, fast forward 45 years, and I just used some of those skills to rebuld the engine on my John Deere 425 tractor that I purchased new in 1993.

We had a little battery powered jeep for the kids when they were younger... I used a saws-all to custom fit a 12volt car battery (gel filled type) and put a lock on the hood. The battery would last for weeks between charges! The kids used this little jeep so much the plastic tires had wore holes in them by the time they out grown it.

Alex, for the Eclipse you should get it wrapped with a "Chrome Mirror Mint". Maybe add some under glow. The van needs some airbrushed "Van Art".
Love all the updates! As I said at the meet up I would just prep the van getting all the rest of the loose paint off and clear over it. Keep it as much as a sleeper as possible. All the best as always! PS hope you enjoyed the Resto mod coffee. I'd be happy to hook up up with more.

The stock aluminum 16inch 2500hd wheels that came on the gm trucks from 2000-2006 would look great on the cargo van, especially polished up. Definitely do a cool paint job like a 70’s van with wizards or whatever on it.
Tell Eli to go with a Ford cable with adjustable quadrant and firewall adjuster. Also, make sure the cable isn’t too close to the header . I had a brand new cable fail because of this. Maximum motorsport sells a cable heat shield kit .
Unfortunately there are no more of the good ford cables around. I spoke with MM and they aren’t able to get any either. Next best choice would be steeda non adjustable cable with their own FW adjuster and quadrant

16:30 Once again Alex I want you to know that "YOU ROCK!" LOL. Thank you for all the great EVERYTHING! I'm so happy to hear you would consider another bimmer in you're world and that 435xi would have been super. Maybe in the back of you're mind you might want to remember that the N55 Engine in those isn't the one that can as easily hold the big power without internal upgrades. It'll hold up to around the 500 hp mark or so with no problems and has some good points for sure But ultimately if you want to a tually build a big power bmw without costing the kind of money it often does (I mean over the 700hp mark and more) you'll likely want thd N54 or get into the "S" variants of those engines. As well of course the B58 or better the S58. But I'd just be happy to see another bimmer being tooled on in your shop. Thanks again. 😊❤🎉🎉

Hey hey! Keep the VAN as a sleeper for sure. No need to do a stand out look. Keep it as is, but save for future damages, fades and what not.
The fox body clutch "snap sound" might be the plastic factory clutch quadrant on the clutch pedal. A couple companies make upgrades. Eventually the teeth on the plastic nylon teeth on them break. It's supposed to be adjustable and it breaks eventually.
The go cart looked great. Have any of you seen the segway ninebot gocart kit? I got one for my son and it's amazing. And now I'm wondering if his powerwheels had that third speed. 😮
My house is my DeLorean. My wife and I put over eighty hours into cleaning the eviction out. Then forty more into basic reno and moving!
Eli....couple suggestions.... Use the Ford cable kit M7553-A302. Most aftermarket cables are dog crap. If you put on long tube headers, or equal lenght, your probably also melting the clutch cable, so its gotta be re-routed and heat protected. If they havent been changed, put in new motor mounts. Use Ford convertible mounts. Trans mount as well. Also stock motor speed density cars dont need or like 24lb injectors. Go back to the 19lb squirters

My brothers had the fastest Eclipse in the country for a couple of years. Thatching was so quick and handled extremely well, almost as well as his 1992 Egg Civic. Beautiful and surprisingly VERY Comfortable daily driver. Thanks for another awesome vid Alex.
I don't blame you for not wanting to let go of your WS6, IMO that is one of the most beautiful muscle cars ever made. My first roadworthy car was a metallic brown 1984 Firebird with the 4 banger. I was a huge fan of Knight Rider so I had to have a third gen, but there was still much to be desired. Now 20 years later I finally got a black 1990 GTA with the 5.7, much better!
