I have the 035, love it so much I ordered the 033... honestly the 035 has saved me thousands of dollars as it cured my watch buying habit for quite a while, still can't stop looking at it
I have the black SARX035 and I like it more every time I wear it. The AR and pure black dial is unreal and the bracelet is very nice. It's a great size, and I'm glad I went for this over the SARB because any smaller would be too small.
Totally Agree. Have been wearing mine almost everyday since June. It is a beautiful watch. The dail is just stunning. Very accurate as well! Mine is under a second a day.
I have not heard of the Sarx series. I have heard of the SARB series. Nice watches but I have the same issue with these as most of the Grand Seiko watches and that is lack of micro-adjustments. Even their GMT and Snowflake Grand Seikos have no micro-adjustments. I don't get it. Maybe the clasp would make it too thick? Even their lower-end models like I have, have one micro-adjustment to swap to and it is not enough. The watch is either too lose not taking out the link or to tight taking it out. Their divers all have a decent amount of micro-adjustments. Most people's wrists will expand when it is warm or hot. I am sure there are leather straps for it but I like bracelets for more as I have ruined leather straps in the summer for too much perspiring.
While it is a kind of shame to not have micro-adjustments, you can get a great fit without them. This allows the clasp to be flush against the bracelet without compromise. It’s awesome.
Hands are too small. I sold my sarx033 because of it. And I did not like the minute ring that has a little bevel with the dial. And there too many markers on the minute ring: not very classy
Those painted hands would be a hard pass for me. We've seen painted hands on far cheaper watches that look a little better. These appear faded two-toned, like the spray gun couldn't manage full coverage somehow. They smartly punted for the older, titanium SARX057/9 models. But even there those second hands have nice color (and a deeper blue on the '57). But what irks me is that with Seiko's large economies of scale, I just don't see where heated ("blued") hands ... an ancient technology ... are today considered so exotic or whatever that they can't (or won't) put them on something like this, or even less expensive models.
Ugh sorry no. The SARB bracelet does not hold a candle to the SARX bracelet. The dial, hands and case are much more nicely finished on the SARX line. SARB033/035 are great watches but they aren’t anywhere near Grand Seiko level of finishing.

Which watch do you prefer thinking of buying one of them and can't decide!
Both of these watches are perfect examples of what Seiko quality should be all across the board. Really beautiful pieces.
Ray Quintanilla Yessss!
I just ordered a Grand Seiko sbgx085. I am sooooo excited
That deep black dial with the (indeed) insane AR looks incredible.
just ordered the 035 -getting hard to find
They're absolute beauties!
Both of these are just beautiful. Thank you for reminding about them and for another excellent video :)
Comfotex is the titanium composite that the bracelet is made out of
Thanks
Love that inky black dial!
Very hard to distinguish from a dress Grand Seiko. Crown, case, bracelet, clasp all are similar with Grand Seiko
41.2?? I thought it’s supposed to be 40.8. Does this one look bigger than the GS SBGR309?
I usually go black but I like the white better in this case.
What's the model of Seiko alarm clock in the background?
Hi Rob,
What are the differences between these and the discontinued SARBS ? Thanks
FallingTitan All about wrist flattness, IMO. My wrist is 49mm flat, 16.5cm all around and it fits fine especially with the half links. Hope it helps!
Also 4RXX in the SARB, 6RXX movement in the SARX.
@@storm3016 sarb has 6Rxx also

Does it have a dark brown look under certain light like some Seikos?
@@boldaslion281 no. It's a deep black.

I thought baby grand is sdgm001 ? 😁

Is Gnomon watches trustworthy? Is it US based?? I'm willing to order as Rob has put their link on this video. Love from India
Painted blue hands for almost 1000 usd? Seiko disrespects it's buyers!
Are there any watches with blued hands under 1000?

Nice!!
They look like the larger version of the SARB033/035.
PT111111 pretty much, and they still didn't lume the hour markers...

Orient Star is of similar quality, but much cheaper.

The real "baby Grand Seiko" is SARB033/35
IMO it's the SARX055

Tennessee Mike that’s the Baby Grand Snowflake
The sarx035 is a MAJOR step up from the sarb
