I have it and I am so glad I pulled the trigger on this; interesting dial with applied polished markers is amazing at outdoor light, interesting case design and overall build quality, and not to forget the best seiko bracelet I ever tried. Is a strap monster also, works with any color
Bob, great review as always, though I’m not a huge fan of dress/sport watches this Seiko is a looker! The angles on the case give it that sporty edge, while the pinstripe dial gives it the formal look. I tried to slow down the vid to see what you are wearing in the opening of the video. I’m guessing it’s the Orient II Mako Pepsi. I love blue dialed divers!
Blue dial divers are my favorite too. It was the Mako! Definitely need to do a wrist shot more often in the vids. I always forget:) Thanks for watching!
Nice review! I have the sarx045 which is a blue variant. The watch wears bigger than 39.5mm due to the long lugs. It’s a great dress sports watch and I like the case and bracelet design. I believe the sarx045 and 047 are still in production but I’m not sure.
Christian Gonzalez Love the 045! Really beautiful watch. I believe when I was researching this one I read the 045 and 047 were still being made. Thanks:)
@@TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces yeah I know. Do you think websites like Long Island Watches, Seiya Japan or Gnomon Watches will have this watch in stock in a few weeks??
Seiko does a nice job in this dressy/sporty category. This is quite a handsome watch and other than my usual complaints about Hardlex, it is very nicely executed. I guess the discontinued SARB033/35 were the competitors here. They're a little sleeker in their case design. I think"Samurai" when I see those angled lugs. Still, a pretty classy watch doomed to the pile of designs that Seiko tried and discarded over the decades.
vinay nagdev Mine's gaining right around 8 seconds per day. It is a little on the larger side for smaller wrists but that's personal preference. The movement is relatively new so hard to say how long between services but I'd expect 5 plus years. Tough to predict though. Hope that helps. Thanks:)
Minus4Plus6 It is really nice! The size is definitely one of the reasons I think it didn't get the love some of their other comparables got. Thanks and have a nice weekend:)
Bob, please get out of my head. I have been shopping (what got me into watches in the first place) for a self congratulations watch. I keep looping back to this or the Sarx045. Leaning 045. But I’m with you, not a true formal watch. More formal sport. Thanks for the review. Unfortunately, I have a larger wrist and my one 37mm Seiko - an SNE - is too small. 40/41 mm is perfect. I don’t really like larger.

Nice! It's an excellent watch. Totally agree with you. Thanks Martin.
Good Review man, I bought mine two years ago in Amazon, now you can't find it anywhere, I am glad I bought it before it got discontinued.
Definitely a good score to get this one. Great watch.
@roberto González how much did it cost?
@@relojeroargento $360 like 5 years ago.
sorry 2 years ago. I seeing ads now some people reselling them and asking $1000. I am keeping mine.
sorry i just look in my amazon account, I bought it in 2017 and I paid $431.00, i was right when i said originally 5 yrs ago.
This is such a nice one. Definitely didn't get the respect it deserved. Great video man. Have a great weekend!!😎👍
It's very nice! Sometimes some great watches just go under the radar which is kind of cool in a way. Have a great weekend too!

I like the bracelet on that watch very nice 👍 good review
Marshall Time I think it's my fave bracelet I've had from Seiko so far! Thanks Chris:)
Where did you buy it??
Picked it up preowned from a local collector.
@@TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces in wich website you think I should buy it??
@@afb799 I believe it's discontinued now so maybe ebay.

Lee K Yes. I saw Samurai and Shogun influences right away. Another Seiko that to me is a bit of a hidden gem but yes probably doomed to the "Pile"! ;)
This watch is killer! Easily a great one watch for every occasion, as expected from seiko
Vittorio Mauriello It so is! Excellent watch in so many situations. Thanks Vittorio. Have a nice weekend:)
What’s the daily accuracy of the watch?can this watch fit in small size wrist and what about maintenance servicing period of the watch?

Nice review & very good video.
Appreciate that.
Nice review, I like the band also reminded me of a tank track.👍
Chris Walls Never thought of that but you're right! Thanks Chris:)
The bracelet reminds of a Cartier tank solo.
Never noticed that before but it's definitely similar.
I had one of these they are super nice but i always felt it was a bit big so i sold it off.

JurgenADV Sorry my man😅 Love the 045 every bit as much as this one. Both are great every day watches. Good luck with the decision!
