I think one big issue is that they are correct to some extent. Like one of the conspiracies you mentioned was "they are giving cancer on purpose" and while no there probably isn't a bond villain out there trying to cause as much cancer as possible, companies definitely do Lobby and conspire to avoid regulation on products they often know are carcinogenic. The list of things we know to cause cancer and the list of outlawed substances that cause it isn't a perfect match after all.
Fantastic video, I only wish there had been more conversation at the end of what a potential series of cures or treatments could look like in the far future. I read a paper were patients with hunting-tons disease don't the illness and might even be a solution!

Not exactly a cure, but HPV vaccine is very good at preventing Cervical cancer!
