    The macrophages don't remove the calcium, it is removed by smooth muscle cells instead. Research studies show there are no macrophages in the calcified areas, only smooth muscle cells and they are quite capable of removing the calcium. It might be possible to remove calcification in arteries, which would mean age is not a barrier to recovery of health.

    • @pooperscooper8791
      @pooperscooper8791 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So smooth cells release and are then floating/circulating in blood with calcium/plaque ? Correct?

    Matrix gla protein (MGP) is member of a family of vitamin-K2 dependent, Gla-containing proteins. ... The protein acts as an inhibitor of vascular mineralization and plays a role in bone organization. MGP is found in number body tissues in mammals, birds, and fish.

    It's possible that the calcium is there to stabilize plaque. The plaques with less calcium may be less stable and increase the chances of thrombosis (heart attack).

    In other words get more D3 and K2 into your diet. A lot of it.

    • @JoinTheProgress
      @JoinTheProgress 8 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      +codematrix Go easy on the D3 folks...if you're having oxalate issues, the extra D3 can really complicate things, there have been instances where people are doing 10,000 units a day and basically locking up their joints with calcification (never mind the soft tissue issues that can manifest in the prostate, arterial, kidneys, etc). They're likely not getting the K2, but I wouldn't mess around, tho I do consider sunshine exposure for D production to be a good alternative that doesn't seem to produce the same complications as the supplement. Just my opinion.

    • @codematrix
      @codematrix 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +Join The Progress - well noted. I take a K2 sub with 1,000 units only. I love the sun and try my best to get enough. I just makes me look and feel great - Thanks!

    • @JoinTheProgress
      @JoinTheProgress 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      codematrix
      I think the 1000 units is the best dose I've come across of late. Was 2000 for a while, but 1000 is fine imo. IMO, if one is getting sun exposure, depending on their complexion (darker requires more sun) there is of course no need for the D3. I unfortunately dropped my D3 way way down this past year due to oxalate issues, now finally getting some sun (northeast). Definite difference in mood/energy/etc.

    • @ivermec-tin666
      @ivermec-tin666 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      If you are fair skinned, 10-15 minutes a day of sun exposure when the sun is at it's zenith (the more skin the better) is enough. The body will convert sunlight to vitamin D3 dynamically (as the body needs). You cannot overdose on D3 from sun exposure alone. Supplementation is where the risk comes in.
      For fair skinned people who get their daily dose of sun exposure, supplementation should not be needed or beneficial except in the winter (nudist members of the polar bear club excluded, of course).

    • @jennyblaing5163
      @jennyblaing5163 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      My Thoughts
      If you're taking Vitamin D3 you should also be taking Vitamin K2 plus on your case following a low oxalate diet.

    • @carrollhoagland1053
      @carrollhoagland1053 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Study the SA node, your doctor is nuts as they are not trained in nutrition.
      AF is an imbalance in K, Ca, Na, our modern diet does not get enough Potassium (K). I use coconut water and low sodium tomato juice (I add KCl 2 tsp/ 64oz = 7g K, or 1000 mg/8oz =glass plus most low sodium add K, ex low sodium V8 has 200mg Na 900 mg K) to cure this problem. Need 4300 mg K per day, your body does not store K or Na, urine, but it is critical for heart beat regulation.
      coumadin stops K1 cycle ... blood clotting ... your father needs to become his own doctor and research ... if body out of wack ... his diet is screwed up ...
      Remember:
      Physicians have abandoned the nutritional approach to patient diagnostics and medicine, simply because they are not trained in nutrition. A key part of the Hippocratic Oath ... “I will prevent disease whenever I can, for prevention is preferable to cure... “, has been forgotten … 70 Going On 100.

    • @darioussmith3450
      @darioussmith3450 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      K2 m7 does not. It is good to take it with D3 supplements. If you do not have an issue with clotting it shouldn't be a problem. It simply will redirect calcium out of your arteries into your bones.

      Retinal A, plus vitamin D both available in cod liver oil, as well as things like butter, eggs. Vitamin k2 is available in cheddar, gouda, etc. It has mk4, which is what the body uses, but it only lasts about 4 hours. Mk7 stays in the body, but needs to be converted. You can buy supplements made from nato.

      Food was pure going back a few decades. Industrialisation "killed it". Add to this, chemicals, herbicides, pesticides, GMO's... and up to 80% less minerals in our soil, with the addition of processed food and an incredibly unbalanced diet one can begin to understand why. Around 1880, 95% of Americans farmed their own food. It's now around 5%.
      Hence the need for supplements. However, endeavour to ensure they're natural and of pharmaceutical grade where possible. This is your life and NOTHING is more worthy of research when it comes to what you put in your body and its mental and physical functioning.

    I'll watch the video, but I want to comment that I dislike computer generated voice-overs. More humanity, please.

    Arterial plaque is cause by bacteria and Oral bacteria could also harm blood vessels or cause blood clots by releasing toxins that resemble proteins found in artery walls or the bloodstream. ... It is also possible that inflammation in the mouth revs up inflammation throughout the body, including in the arteries, where it can lead to heart attack and stroke ...get all your teeth pulled out !!! lol !!

    ..The fat molecules in the plaques that clog up our arteries and raise risk of heart attack and stroke may come from bacteria that live in our mouths and guts, not just from what we eat.
    a clogged artery
    Researchers suggest that bacteria may play a key role in clogged arteries.
    This was the main result of a study led by the University of Connecticut in Storrs that was published recently in the Journal of Lipid Research.
    The researchers suggest that the finding may explain why gum disease is often linked to atherosclerosis - a condition in which fat molecules, calcium, cholesterol, and other compounds in the blood form plaques on the inside walls of arteries.
    As the plaques build up, they harden and narrow the arteries, restricting the flow of oxygen-carrying blood to vital organs and tissues. This can lead to heart attack, stroke, other serious health problems, and even death.
    The immune system also plays a role: immune cells can attach to the lining of blood vessels, feed on the fatty deposits, and multiply. This results in inflammation and thickening of the smooth muscle in the artery wall, which helps the formation of plaques and other growths known as atheromas.

      @Mikael Vitaly Vyacheslav your comment "pulling out all the teeth" made my day I am laughing whole heartedly right now (after months!!) cannot decide if I should include k2 in the diet and cause stable calcified plaque to become unstable and rupture increasing the probability of a clot
