Do you have an Amazon affiliate link to the lights you recommend? I've been needing a grow light, so this is perfect timing!

Hi. The basic rule of using lights depends on the distance and the color temperature. We recommend that you should check them first, then decide to choose which one is suitable for the succulents. You can also check our blog here, hope it's useful ☺ succulentsbox.com/blogs/blog/how-to-use-grow-light-for-your-indoor-succulents?_pos=1&_sid=5155c0915&_ss=r

Is it better to have lights overhead so it is directed to the top of plants

Hi, I'm trying to top-light a single enormous euphorbia ingens (succulent) in a south-facing window.
I have one pendant 30W 6500K 2550 lumens LED T bulb, which I am thinking of replacing with one 55W 6400K 3150 lumens LED CF. Losing 100K for an extra >20% seems a good trade, but I'm not sure.
Combining two 6500K lamps is difficult (two 30W lamps or one 30W and one 20W) because beam angles necessitate wide reflectors.

Swapping 30W 6500K bulb for the 55W 6400K should be a good trade-off, especially with the added lumens, and losing 100K won’t make a big difference. Since combining two lamps with different beam angles is tricky, sticking with a single higher-wattage bulb is a practical solution for top-lighting your Euphorbia. The extra light intensity should help the plant thrive indoors! Just my thoughts, hope it’s helpful

When using the RGB grow lights, {speaking on behalf of my own LED - bendy light, which happens to resemble yours} mine, presents a purple, red, blue, orange, and an off-white-redish purple simulation.. is that close enough to 6500k?

RGB grow lights with purple, red, blue, and off-white hues aren't quite the same as 6500K. For true daylight simulation, a full-spectrum 6500K light is ideal.

Good video but you’re wrong about how you can’t get the stress color with certain lights. The stress color comes from lack of watering. You can still get the colors by holding back on watering. I do it all the time

I heard this and my heart sunk. I just ordered mountain rose succulents because of their beautiful pink/rosy look.
So, all I do is let it dry up a bit?
