I’m 55, and my grandmother used to play this for my cousins and me when we were young. She knew it by heart. Your rendition has brought back some lovely memories. Thank you.

Thank you very much. I am reading a memoir about a boyhood in the north-east of England in the 1920s-1930s, and the author mentions learning to play this tune. It was great to hear it; summons up the feel of the period.
I used to sit in my grandmother's parlor and beg her to play Robin's Return again and again. I loved it so much! Thrilled to find it played so beautifully. It brings back such tender and special memories. Thank you!
I'm sitting here crying. My grandmother loved playing this song, as well. We just lost her Dec. 2018, so I was hoping yt wouldn't disappoint and to my delighted surprise, there was Mr. Richter! Thank you, sir.
At last Harold, after practicing this everyday over and over,, I have finally mastered how to play this by memory. Thanks for the advice you gave me 10 months ago.
Thank you for posting this. This was a piece of music my mother used to play for me in the 1960s when I was growing up in the Philippines. She’s 87 now and can’t play it anymore. She asked me to look for it today, because I also shared with her the Virgin’s Prayer and Woodland Whispers that I found on you tube today. She is house bound and I’m sure she will watch and listen to this over and over.
I used to play this tune Robins return when I was a young girl ! Loved it to a passion ! Now I enjoy others play and it transports me to another youthful past !thank you 🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

There must be something about this song. My grandmother loved playing it, well up into her seventies, from memory. I think she learned it as a teen. I like that most everyone who's ever heard , 'Robin's Return,' remembers where they heard it first. Like an R&B classic ♥ eta: This was her absolute _favorite_ song to play.
