I work for hyundai as a salesmen. Picked up my own N line a week ago in white. LOVE IT. Lots of people ask me what kind of car it is and when i say its a sonata..theyre speechless haha
LOL, while not to disparage, a salesman's opinion is not the strongest endorsement. Salesmen are like politicians, you can tell when they are lying, their lips move.
Love my White 2021 sonata limited so much I bought a 2022 Sonata N-line in Shimmering Pearl Silver. They are two completely different cars but both great in their own ways... Ive gotten more compliments on them than any other vehicles I have ever owned.
I think that the Kia K5 is better looking than the Sonata. However, I prefer the Sonata’s interior is better looking because it looks more upscale with digital LED gauges and push button gear selector.
Bad ass Sonata N Line awesome powerful 4 Cylinder. Even though I Love V8 N/A engines. This is awesome. I like the wheels the exhaust, front is good as well. I like the exterior color Glowing Yellow it's very Unique, I love the Catfish Look, I would pick this over the Honda Accord in a heartbeat.
Got mine a month ago. I've been approached by strangers about it more in 1 month that I ever was with any of my three-point stars or 4 rings. Should they have put an LSD in it? Yeah, but if you don't stand on the pedal like a jackhammer it moves along nicely. Great firm ride. DCT is awesome. Brakes are great. I honestly only went to take a test drive to cross it off my list. One mile into the test drive and I knew I was taking it home if the deal worked in my favor. I wasn't a fan of the redesign from the front but it's grown on me. The body lines really pop in silver.
@@drluvmuffins3696 Five months and about 8,000 miles now. I don't regret my decision. I've blacked out the chrome and swapped the P-Zero All-Seasons for Michelin PS4S. A lot more grip off the line.. I kept the Pirellis for winter use.
I pick my one up this week and if you look just above license plate on the grill there is a 5 mm gap which I will be fitting red pin stripe all the way along the grill which will break up the grill.Im getting the metallic red and can't wait.In Australia we only get the N line for some reason but it has 360°camera ,auto rear window blind, manual rear door blinds, heated and cooling seats in front and heated in rear.It has heads up display and sunroof.
I've got a 2021 Sonata Limited 1.6T in Stormy Seas with tan interior. I love the styling, even the front end. My other car is a 2020 G90 5.0 Ultimate with 420 hp so I get my "speed fix" with it. It is actually more fun to drive the Sonata than the G90!
Just leased mine a few weeks ago. I love it! It's so much fun! It's quick, comfortable (driver's side seat even has adjustable side bolstering), handles great, and rides very well! Had to special order it up here in Maine, and I chose the dark blue "Stormy Seas" color. I graduated to this vehicle from a 2018 Hyundai Elantra Sport DCT w/Premium package, and the Sonata N-Line is a whole next level in performance compared to the Elantra, which I did enjoy also. So, I highly recommend it! You didn't mention that this car also has launch control, which according to another review from Car & Driver brings that 0-60 time down to 5 seconds. I haven't tried launch control yet, but I'm looking forward to it! It's definitely a sleeper at the stop light... 😉
@@cbuch30 Mine is a low miles lease, 3yrs - 10k miles per year, 0 down, I always take the lease protection plan, first months payment due at signing $448.77. Turn in the keys, go into new lease or walk away...
I'm in tough situation. I can most likely get a Sonata N line for MSRP 35,000 plus tax or an 2021 Volkswagen Arteon SEL R LINE for 35,000 so I'm saving 10,000 on a 45,000 dollar Arteon.
@The-Wise-One I actually went with a 2023 GTI 40th anniversary edition. It's so much to drive and so practical. The hatchback comes in handy. I just put a 7 foot Christmas 🎄 in it. And I still get 38mpg and a 0to60 in 5.1 seconds. The Sonata N-line just couldn't do what the GTI dose naturally. Thanks for asking and have a Merry Christmas 🎅
I am deeply disappointed that to go N-line means giving up so many features. The missing features would be used more than the additional HP. I am looking at Hyundai vs Tesla. Both have tons of safety tech. Tesla is in the lead but I don't see other ICE car makers as competition.
@@markstover7701 F&R parking sensors, remote smart parking assist, surround view monitor, heated steering wheel, color HUD, blind spot view monitor, 6 way power passenger seat, ventilated front seats, memory for driver seat and side mirrors
@@gbinman Ok I see your point, the HUD would be awesome. I drove this car a few days now and I could not be happier with the power and handling. So I guess it's a balance between sports car and luxury. The highway assist is pretty good as well.
@@AprilJoBlackburn Thank you. I looked into Genesis, some years ago and they had halted production. That was apparently temporary. The G70 and G80 are nice vehicles. Again to get all the tech it requires the top "trim" packages. Unfortunately, these push into the Tesla price ranges and they have weaker tech than Tesla. That just makes a stronger case for Tesla.
People that keep saying the reliability isn't good haven't updated their knowledge in a while. Quality, comfort, performance are on par with Toyota, Subaru, and even Honda in my opinion. Sure they could have put a LSD in it, but the suspension is tuned perfectly to control squat and dive, so if you know how to drive it, those tires bite just fine. This is my 2nd Hyundai, and they just keep getting better...
Personally, I work as driver. For pass 4 years I been driving only Hyundais. I have gone through 4 cars. A Elantra, 2 Sonata and now Ionic. All driven up to 130k miles, with good maintenance records, those never gave me a problem. Never got to use the warranty. Hyundai is better then Toyota at the moment.
You mentioned you can roast the tires. This in inaccurate. You can roast ONE tire as Hyundai, in their infinite wisdom, chose to give this car with almost 300hp an OPEN DIFFERENTIAL. They have an LSD in house and they didn’t install it in this model. One tire fire.

I got the Night edition N line, anybody know what’s the best rpm for launch control?
My Facorite cae in trim and Gold!!! Winner!
I have the yellow one....AWESOME
So I'm trying to decide between the limited or nline... Help meeeeeeee
N line for me. It looks so good and the performance is awesome.
What about the ridiculous amount of torque steer and wheel hop from sending 311 ft/lbs to the front wheels only with no limited slip differential?
There is no wheel hop or torque steer, just lots of wheel spin
I can confirm it doesn't have wheel hop. Test drove one a few weeks back on sport+
It’s n line for a reason, it’s supposed to be for performance not the quirks in the vehicle
Love it!

They did that to keep the price affordable. If you want ALL of it in one package you can get a G70 for $45-52K versus a $45K Sonata

All that engine, yet Hyundai's own Ionic 5 AWD dual motor is faster. Therein lies the advantage of performance EV's.
That front end is absolutely hideous!!
