On top of the blinker/blindspot on the digital dash, the Limited edition also has a hologram that shines off the windshield that shows you when vehicles are in your blind spot, and this system is directly in front of you, so you don’t even have to look at the dash and you can keep your eyes on the road.
You beat me to mentioning that awesome feature that’s incorporated into the headsup display. This eliminates the need to take your eyes off the road period because even looking at the lane change cameras in the digital dash necessitates taking your eyes 👀 off the road ,so seeing vehicles in your blind spot in the headsup display in Dope.
We just became owners and love love love our new car. Thank you for the review, we are still learning the new tech and feel like we made a good choice in our 2021 Hyundai Sonata.
I’m glad these review vids are out there but a lot of people forget to mention the trim level of that car they are in because there’s a large difference in most.
I have a series of videos on my other channel. Here is a link to one: th-cam.com/video/EoMrW_9DOU4/w-d-xo.html It’s on a 2020 but it’s exactly the same
@@MetzTech Thanks appreciate it.. Im lined up to buy a new car, and been doing my research now, probably too long lol Im stuck between an Accord, Camry, and the Sonata Limited. Since you work for an automotive group, possible to ask your opinion, off-line, an opinion about current pricing here for this car? Every dealer around me has this going for around the same, give or take. I found one dealer however, that appears to have lower prices on these.
Great review, literally found what I was looking for and now you helped me make my final decision between this and Mercedes a class ... definitely this car for the price with all those technologies that I want. Btw the name of the channel is perfect.
The digital key seems worthless to me. I have a keyfob in my pocket why would I want to hold a card up to the door instead? It makes no sense unless I'm missing something.
YOU MISSED A LOT! The sole purpose of using the digital key is to not use the keyfob! Keyfobs are heavy and cumbersome. Digital key can fit in your wallet and don't need a key to start the car.
Interesting that you say that. There are a couple ways. I have this video: th-cam.com/video/bEoCY0AJUlw/w-d-xo.html But I will also have a video coming soon that demos another method to do this! Thanks for watching Steve
I am especially interested to know if there are any differences between the 2021 and 2022 and also at a total roadblock trying to find out if I can put a hitch on my 2022. Neither Hyundai nor Uhaul seems to know, although one service rep from a Hyundai dealer said that Hyundai really does not want the Sonata to be pulling anything.
I have the sel convenience package and I dnt have tht however hyundai should incorporate the blind spot cameras in all the models for standard saftey not price points 🤔 smh
Limited is around $32,000-$33,000 and typically you can get that down. Incentives or trade in…. You will almost never pay more than $30,000…. Maybe in this market, but not usually! Thanks for watching, Fred!
Correct! I have the trim listed in the description! Typically I’ll always make tech videos on the highest possible trim since it will have the most features!
It isn't even close to level 3 go watch a Tesla Autopilot demo because that is level 3 and it blows this Hyundai out of the water when it comes to self-driving. This is more like 1.5 or 2 but as a standard feature it works well on the highways anyway,
No mention of the #1 glaring Tech Issue-- *NO WIRELESS AppleCARPLAY/AndroidAuto* ...Functionality which works on older Hyundai, but doesn't exist with this and other newer models sporting the 10+" infotainment panels. Just shopping around, I don't have personal experience just hearsay/claims of reviewers and end users...STILL by most reports ONLY USB works. Older Hyundai units which CLAIM wireless support sporadically disconnect, some owners report receiving a swarm of infotainment system error messages so annoying--the system must be rebooted. It would be nice to know the state of this technical glitch... *and thanks for the solid video!* _(It's not fair. You can do a thousand things right for AN AMAZING PRICE, but that ONE thing which went sideways... that's what people talk about--sorry I'm people)_
If you get the tech package, you lose the wireless car play fiction - but still have it if you plug in your phone. Without the tech package, it will work wirelessly
Hyundai have to throw a bone to the poverty specs. Not everyone can afford the top trim. So to implement that feature standard, is great marketing strategy.
Mine has voice recognition? Is yours hooked up Bluetooth wise? I can use the car voice recognition by clicking the voice button once, and you can access Siri by holding the button speaker button about 3 seconds. Fun fact 👍🏼

So the hologram you first mentioned is only in the heads up display? And if the heads up display is not activated you do not see the hologram?
What's this the n line ? And is n line above limited

Do you still feel like it was a good choice after 3 years were looking to buy a sel used with 13k miles on it one owner
Just bought 2021 Sonata SEL Plus. Love the way it drives & the turbo is more than I need! Learned a lot about the car from your quick video! Thanks!
Glad I could help! Congrats on the new Sonata! 🥳
That 1.6 is a dog however

My 2022 sonata sel gets off the trailer the 27th! Very excited. Hope it has the smart parking feature as well
That’s awesome. Congrats, Lexi!
Wow you found a parking spot on the great lawn/riverfront by the big four. What time of the day did you film this?
Got really luck lol. I don’t remember exactly

just bought mine over the weekend and I am in LOVE
