Even though my kids are grown up now, I winced when you stepped on that Lego. It triggered a very painful memory that happened more than once.

Definitely better to break them of the pacis younger than older! I was close to starting kindergarten when my mom FINALLY took mine away (first kid, I guess there's gonna be mistakes lol) and I was old enough to literally REMEMBER the anxiety of the day they first got taken away and all the separation anxiety there.....definitely do it while they're still small enough to not remember!

Most common injuries of parents…ALL Lego related.It’s painful and yes breaks the skin.I knew someone who would vacuum them up then get them out(a bit gross for me though!)The smile and joy in Emma’s face when you said her new boots were Purple💜💜

I took my daughters paci before her second birthday . It was ROUGH for her but definitely the best decision because she started talking WAY more and her denture improved. The paci caused her front 4 teeth to be pushed out but it started improving weeks after taking it away

My 3 kids never would take a paci I thought that was odd because every child I had been around or seen loved their paci but I never had to break mine from them .but I do hope everything goes smooth with it like it did with Emma y'all are such an awsome family

I always took the bottle away when mine were 1 yr old but none of mine were big fans of pacifers. I remember Emma having a stash of them in her crib. I agree its time to wean the boys off of it.

When my son was a solid walker (around 11 months old .... yeah, early walker) I just got rid of the pacifier. It was just GONE. No weaning. Cold turkey. Funny how my son didn't even ask for it.

I don't have any children and I gasped when you stepped on the lego.😲 I can imagine how bad that hurt.
Get them both a stuffed animal or an item of the same thing like you did with Emma BUT try to show them something like a shark and a dinosaur and let them see which one each of them chooses especially if you're noticing that they're each starting to like different "characters" that way they're both the same "item" but they won't fight over (or you have to keep up with) whose is whose. Or better yet take them to the baby/stuffed animal section of the store and see which one they go for. It's nice to get kids of similar ages the same things to avoid hassle but it's also nice to let them express their differences when you're able to start noticing them just like how you knew that Emma liked Beau-Beaus and neigh-neighs.
I’m so thankful that my kids absolutely hated the pacifier. That has to be so hard. It will be okay I think they will do good. They are such big boys!

I know this sounds weird but to make the toy cleanup faster, you should use a broom and just sweep them up into a pile. Trust me it makes cleanup SOO much faster.
Im in the process of weaning my 2.5 year old off his pacifier..he won't ask for it during the day, but if he finds it he looses his marbles 😅 he's obsessed with one of my pillow cases right now so I'm hoping that'll be good enough once we fully take it away at the end of this year
