I could see speedrunners and so many people playing the game completely different than “normal”. It’ll be amazing to see what everyone creates in this game.
I'm waiting for people to discover combinations that create brand new untested effects to add insane new possibilities. They literally increased the experimentation possibilities by at least 4x.There's no way they tried them all.
@@akaimizu1 Well, they probably at least tested that each combination didn't crash the game or something, but yeah, with that much experimentation, there's absolutely going to be some unforeseen uses to break the game.
I said the same exact thing when I first saw the mechanics 😂 It will be super fun to see what inventions the community will come up with as the game releases. I'd imagine we'll discover some game breaking combinations along the way

i love that they saw players in botw making flying machines with minecarts and magnesis and just said "guess what? its a feature now"
if it works out, it's gonna be part of zelda games as a tribute to creative players and the things they come up with. This is what makes good companies shine, giving tribute to it's playerbase instead of limitations.

I know that there's going to be all kinds of cool and useful combinations but I couldn't help but notice that meat was an option and now I just want to fuse all the dumb things together.
I’m going to have such a good time coming up with weird combos omg. The hype is unreal
Fusing weapons together is such a simple and creative way to tackle durability which people complained about. Rather than upgrading gear being limited to collecting special materials likes gems or only at specific locations like Fairy Fountains, you can just combine practically anything together. This is gonna allow for some really off the wall creations!
I noticed meat was a fusion option and now I just need to know what all the seemingly dumb stuff does. Like, it's pretty intuitive that things like rocks and stones will function as general upgrades but what happens when I put Keese wings on my shield? Will it create some kind of blow back effect or will it let me shield surf midair?
@@Confron7a7ion7 could increase parry speed? , I mean i think it could be really interesting depending on if they just let you upgrade specific attributes of weapons like this , for example on a really slow but strong sword increase hit speed using ____ item , also make it actually make you glide in the air as a bonus would be cool as hell , like shield surfing in the air but not it actually does something

Not sure if it was just the build of the game he was playing, but if you look at his minimap in the bottom right of the screen, there were numbers that looked like coordinates on it. This will make writing guides, planning routes, and taking notes so much easier! It's a minor thing, sure, and maybe I'm overly nerdy for noticing it, but man, I appreciate that it's something they added.

The fact that they stated explicitly that if there is any cave with a ceiling that you find, you can travel to. The top of it makes me believe that there's going to be a vast underground network system or at least a really well designed underworld or maybe just a couple groups of tunnels intersecting for quicker world travel. Maybe I don't know
Absolutely possible. Caves weren't really prominent at all in BotW, so for him to say that like that, I'd say at the very least that there will be more underground to explore. Maybe linked to those shots we saw of bokoblins mining in the other trailer?
Imagine the hidden rooms above your head that no one will find until people have data mined the game.
He said there were limits. I would have to imagine that perhaps you have to clear some main underground areas of corruptions first to make the ability to work? Haha imagine accidentally zipping up while underground in middle of fight.
Or maybe a dungeon will utilize this mechanic. I'm hoping there's a dungeon or two in this game.
@@jaysilva5854 I like that idea, or maybe part of the solution is making a wacky weapon with stuff they give you in the area and obviously you can take it with you later to use outside of that but I feel like that would be a good way to implement fuse in the puzzles

I’m going to patiently wait for someone to make the biggest air warship possible if the fuse ability has no limits-as in a Bowser-like airship from Super Mario Bros, that’d be SICK
I suspect there'll be a weight to power tradeoff. Even with the hovering raft shown there was a drastic power usage increase. That said, I suspect shock weapons may be able to recharge batteries.
I’m guessing there will be a max limit on how many items can be fused together in 1 craft.

The fact that monster materials and such are finally useful makes me so happy. I now have a reason to hunt for certain monsters, rather than simply avoiding them
If fusing balloons to arrows does what I think it will do I'm going to single handedly start the bokoblin space program.

The excitement for the super long pitchfork was adorable. So glad I came to Austin John for the new Zelda gameplay.
All I could do was smile during that trailer. It doesn't seem real that the game is truly complete and releasing so soon. I'm excited about this game.
I'm hoping we can build traps for enemies; I'm thinking along the lines of leading a band of say bokoblins over to a cliff where we have setup the fans, then hit the fan while running by and send them flying. Possibilities are huge if they implement this right and things don't despawn after a few steps.
I remember seeing the scrap mechanic looking car in the trailer, and immediately knew we would get a building system. Can’t wait to actually try it out.

My main question is if you "build" a vehicle and then proceed to save, exit the game and then come back. Will it still be there or will it disappear?

I can't imagine it being a complicated process to build them. If they were disassembled when reloading, all the pieces would be in the same spot for you to build it again. It'll probably be the same thought as weapon durability. If it breaks, just find a new one.

I have to admit this looks pretty amazing. The amount of room for creativity seems literally sky high. I'm curious how some elements will work together, but for that reason it will be fun to experience. Trying things out and finding crazy combinations should allow for a really personal experience.

I’m so excited for this. The trailer showed so much cool interactions and hinted at so many more possibilities. There were people in the live stream chat dogging HARD on the game, which blew my mind. I think it looks fantastic. Super excited. I was like 98% sure I was going to preorder before release for the goodies, but now I’m absolutely sure.

i am so glad that, not only are there more enemies, but that they can fuse weapons just like you! botw was amazing, but the combat got easy fast. the variety and surprise is a MUCH welcome change.
Alot of people hated Nuts and bolts but man it brings back so many fun memories of building jank ships and cars haha i loved that game. couldn't be more excited to get some of it in tears of the kingdom.

I didn't even realize this was Dueling Peaks at first because the shrine and waterfall are just... gone 😂 but this game looks like fun! I feel a little overwhelmed with even MORE stuff to do. So much to create and play with!
I am so excited!!! I’m so happy to finally see some gameplay!!! It looks like the top left icon refers to the different abilities you can do. The circle with the symbol is for rewind, the sword is for fusing, red hand is for ultra hand and green guy is the ascending. I just wonder how you switch between abilities???

It looks great, and i'm so excited for this! The ooonly critique I have is that I wish combining the rock and branch turned it into more of a hammer weapon with "correct" weighting and physics for how it now looks. I just think it looks a bit goofy swinging that big boulder around like it weighs nothing
I get it….but at the same time it’s also just literally fusing two things together to make something “new” it’s not exactly “transforming” them or refining them or anything like that
So you attach a stick to a boulder and you literally get a stick with a boulder end 🤷🏻♀️
I think it would require a dedicated “crafting system” more akin to what most people think of for crafting in games for it to be some sort of refined weapon

As someone who didn't love breath of the wild, I was hoping tears of the kingdom would implement a lot of changes, but it looks to be almost the same as breath of the wild but with an extra crafting mechanic.

Okay, I was really concerned about the lack of information. But this was all I needed! With how open ended BotW was with it's mechanics and physics allowing you to do so much, I am even more excited to see what can be done with everything we've seen here. I still have some concerns with the balance on combo weapons. Will certain ones be overly powerful? Will certain mechanics become obsolete with newly introduced powers? Although, it does seem that enemies can use combo weapons, too. So that could introduce even more strategy into the game, which is great.
I wonder if you could fuse several weapons together or fuse a material to a pair of weapons that are already fused together, like in the trailer how they had the extended pitchfork. I wonder if you could fuse an eyeball to it and when it's about to break you can throw it and it will auto target enemies like the arrows do

It looks like you can only fuse one thing to your sword and/shield at a time. But I wonder if you could stick like 5 spears together with an eyeball fused one in the front. If it would let you pick it up and throw it
Didn't the dev say a fan must have been fused to that door weapon? That would confirm at least a second fuse material.
@@bobjob2514 well, if that's the case, I wonder with attach if you could set something up to have a train catcher made out of weapons on a car you built or something, or a propeller with sledgehammers as the blades
