This is excellent and wise conversion. So many goes lot of extra efforts to rebuild everything, but here a wise man reuse as much as possible of everything that was in the original, and in the end gets minimally changed case. IMHO, the inside isn't the tidiest by cable management, choice of colors for cables, motherboard etc, but no one see those, so who cares!? I didn't quickly see the I/O ports shield placement, but it is likely very minimal cutout. And I was impressed by the idea to just dismantle a ATX power supply unit, and install it inside the Apple's provided case, just smart idea when you do it correctly!
I just finished my G5 build about a week ago. Honestly the best decision I've made, and it looks loads better than I thought It would; as I have a ATX board. Even with the size I was able to fit the storage bracket at the top. And my Noctua nh-d15 fits comfortably behind the "G5" panel! Stock PSU enclosure reused, along with the stock G5 case fans.
This series is amazing and has helped me so much! One huge question: are you using 80mm fans for the main fans around the cpu area? As far as I can tell, the standard fans are 90mm, but it looks like you got the right fit?
This is a great conversion video, I loved how you kept it looking more 'stock' than others doing conversions, especially the rear panel.
Nice. I have still working G5 Quad. Will do same. Thx for this tutorial. Greetings from Warsaw.

Best G5 conversion video ever. Ace job, mate.

Thank you very much!!!!! I will try the same. Just got one today. God Bless you sir.
thanks I enjoyed watching this 3 part series!
Excellent series, thank you. Definitely the neatest conversion I’ve found so far. Makes me wish for second lockdown ;)
Great series
Just built one myself. Genius idea graphics card rack. :)
Sadly I got a case that was already gutted, so no fans.
Good job 👏🏻
Great video! Now I’m planning to do the same with my G5. But kinda scared with the psu step.
You can do it! Just two wires one positive and one negative, the positive is usually brown or red.
Is that a micro atx? Will a full size atx fit??
That's the best g5 build on TH-cam for sure.
Where did you get the power button cable from?
I was thinking of modding my other G5 to a pc
Nice detailed build, only question, what board/cpu did you actually fit? as a A320 am4 board doesnt support the intel celeron 1151 chip
Yes that intel box was just the packaging it was the right core for the motherboard but they sent it in an old intel box.

Whats the song?
Hey, do you know how can we use the original psu ?, do I need to do any mod for use it ? (Total noob asking/first casemod I’m doing)
the original one doesnt have the proper connectors for a ATX motherboard and peripherals, the chords also too short
Отлично сделано👍
building a PC inside a Mac G5 case seems doable but installing a celeron on an AMD motherboard, I don't think so :D
I like how you dont need to buy sheetmetal from the laserhag for 90dollars.
