Sudo: add: command not found (HELP)
Hey, I’m a bit late to this video, but when I try to use the “sudo apt install virtualbox” it says this:
Package virtualbox is not available, but is referred to by another package. This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or is only available from another source
É: package virtualbox has no installation candidate
Do have a solution to this?
Did you update the catalog before? If not, perform the following: sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y
@@KnowledgeSharingTech i did run that before trying to install, but it gives me the same message
Hello sir, would this work on Kali 2021.3?
Yes
What do I do if the terminal isn't letting me type in my password? I'm a very new Ubuntu user so sorry if this seems like a stupid question
You mean when you type the password the cursor doesn't move? If yes, then this is normal behavior and the password is being typed
the first command is wrong it not $$ its && like this sudo add-apt-repository multiverse && sudo apt-get update
Thank you for pointing out this mistype in the description, I corrected it
Stuck at 84% progress on second command :(
