What makes this scene even more horrifying is that stands are usually supposed to protect their users, not harm them. So the fact that Cream was able to decapitate Ice like that implies that Ice’s devotion to DIO is so strong and fanatical that it was able to override the stand’s natural protective instinct towards its own master.

One thing I'll never understand. Why do villains always save their best guy for last? I mean, if Dio had sent this guy to Japan to begin with, he wouldn't 've lost so many minions.
Indego84 dio is playing and was using vanilla ice has a body guard I'm pretty sure he was knowing that most of the minions would've died but that's just for the sake of being a vilain like the moment where he could kill Polnareff and half of the groups but just mess with them instead
Indego84 Most villians rather have their strongest pawns around. Imagine if the crusaders had actually made it to Egypt in the first plane they took, or came from another unexpected way and Dio had all his strongest pawns situated on land waiting to ambush them. He just be left whit the weakest while the strongest are away. On another note, and a more logical reason would be that the weakest are the ones that have the time to go, while the strongest can't be dispatched so easily because they be busy, and are called to the main base only in a state of emergency.
Dio could of Killed the crusaders himselft since he had the power to stop time for a while, but one of his minions(the old lady) convinces him to ignore them let them handle them while dio recovers.
As for not an ambush when they got to Egypt(by plane), Dio didnt recruit more powerful stand user's until The crusaders got to Egypt (the long way). We can argue how dio didnt just sent an entire squad of stand users as you can see most users got into a 1v1 and still lost aswell as they had to find stand users thus why one user was being sent or each user set out of their own to single handly win Dio's appraisal or cash reward, also as a fun note Dio's recruitment strategy went from mind control which added allies to jojo, buying loyalty which turn out bad especially with the yellow goo guy, (who expose some stand user's) to outright cultists dedication.

Dio was still recovering. The only reason he was so strong in SC is because he was able to force Jonathan's body to become his in the 50 day gap while training his time stop abilities. Imagine that he had sent Ice and all of his strongest guys to Japan and the Crusaders somehow outsmart all of them and manage to get on a plane. They would be at Dio's doorstep in less than 3 days. That would end really badly for Dio.

I ship those two so hard but, before you will have the time to insult me. I'll explain you why. I Really love Vanilla ice. He's a really great character. He's really reletable... He loved dio (now you can decide to think this is in a platonic or romantic way) but he actually loves Dio. He'd do anything for him. Yet he dies for him. And Dio didn't even care probably. He was a slave as another. Can you imagine living only for someone who wouldn't cry your death? he feels really reletable to me. And that's why I love Vanilla Ice. I would like to see him always happy and even if I'm aware this ship is highly toxic and bad I ship them. I ship them because Vanilla Ice deserves happiness. He is a person after all. Vanilla ice deserves to be loved. And I doubt he would accept/care about someone random love. He loves Dio Brando... And I would just like Dio to love him back.
