  • Hey #drummers, this video is on the ‪@TAMAofficial‬ Club Jam kit.
    If you need the spare part here's the info : www.brendanjon...
    Ive done a full review on the Tama club Jam kit and this is video is to show all the drummers that are thinking of buying the Club Jam drum kit, what it is like after four years of use.
    There are a few things that you need to know about the Tama Club Jam drum kit before you buy it. There has been a few things that have broke, and a few things you need to know before you spend your hard earned cash on this drum kit.
    This Tama Club Jam drum kit i've been using for four years and it's probably been on about 350 - 400 hundred gigs in that time so it a drum kit i use for a lot of gigs. I'll tell you everything that's good about it and the bad stuff to look out for.
    Thanks for watching the video and be nice to one another.

    If you still haven't been able to replace that lug, try Ludwig Atlas Mount. It's universal and can fit just about any drum. It even comes with it's own gaskets too. It works like a charm on my Gretsch kit.

    • @thedrummerdude777
      @thedrummerdude777 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BrendrumJones it's a wonderful lug. My rack tom was on a snare stand the entire time because there was no tom mount installed to it. The rim suspension mount wasn't compatible with my drum, so naturally I stumbled upon the Atlas mount and I haven't looked back ever since (because the only options were either drill the holes into my rack tom or the Atlas mount)
      Just something to think about in case you ever encounter the same problem I did.
      Stay safe, lad.

    I love Tama drums, I'm a collector and recently got a Mastercraft stave oak piccolo from the 90's. I have the cocktail kit, cute and been useful for awhile, now I want something in between the cocktail and the 22-12-16, still small and portable. This kit looks fantastic to me. The cream marble wrap is completely ridiculous. Surprisingly, the cocktail kit snare comes with a really nice cam action strainer, as it should be the case here. It is a more expensive kit however...

    Dont know if this is still relevant or not but you could have used a rim mounted solution instead of replacing a shell mounted tom mount. Like Gibraltar Rims, or Pearl ISS. That way, you are also a bit more flexible in what mount to use because both can take different hole patterns for the holder itself.

    • @sonicmistress
      @sonicmistress 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not really as it looks like cheap generic chinese steel to me, they are built to a price point (Same for guitars, the hardware is always the cheapest part) and that lug looks just like one off my 70's Aria Kit, cheap. Easy to replace for something stronger and let's not forget, this Kit has been played more than most might use one so some of the issues might not appear for others. As long as you have a solid base to build from, which this seems to have, parts are easy to change for better ones to improve the kit to suit your use. These reviews are the best as it's a test of long term reliability and if on a budget then that is important.

    Hey Brendan - greetings from Westmeath - loved the review but I'm wondering if you think the Club Jam is a good first kit for someone starting with no existing equipment. The most equipped option to buy (with throne, hi-hat stand & bass pedal) goes for a little under 700 Euro. Throw in the cymbals and you won't have much change from 900 or so. I absolutely love the vintage jazz vibe from it but the Pearl Roadshow with 18" bass, all the hardware and cymbals, sticks, etc. is just over 600 Euro. Having a hard time deciding. Head says Pearl, heart says Tama. Any advice? Thanks, Dermot.

      Hey Dermot , thanks for saying so. There both very good. Now my own experience has been with the tama, so I could say that it’s really great however if your looking for everything included then you can go wrong with the Pearl bundle. They made good stuff. Let me know how you get on. Brendan

      @@BrendrumJones Thanks for the advice, Brendan. Head prevailed in the end and I opted for the Pearl. The head sizes seem more aligned with a jazz configuration plus I discovered that I can use the second tom holder on the bass drum for the cymbal as an option.
