I suspect the battery on my old xiaomi is dead after it fell into water months ago. It gets to the charging screen but the battery doesn't gain any charge. Do you think this would be doable for someone who's never repaired a phone before? It looks pretty easy in the video, but that might just be because you know what you're doing. I'd appreciate if you could tell me if this is a stupid idea haha
If you think of the repair as basically. The phone is dead now, if I fail the repair then it's still dead. I would attempt to open it, prior to ordering the battery. So if it does go bad you haven't spent much or any money
I have successfully taken off the cover of RN4X which won't charge. Mi logo appears it vibrates and goes off then Mi logo appears and it repeats cycle while charger is plugged. The battery inside is BN41 and NOT BN43. It is definitely a Redmi Note 4X. Are the two batteries interchangeable? I think I should replace with BN41 though everywhere it says BN43 for Redmi Note 4X.
Hope you know, after charging my redmi note 4 for a couple of hours I went ahead to turn it on, I saw the ....mi... Logo on the screen, then it went completely black. Right now it just will not turn on and when connected to charge a red flashing light comes on. Any idea how to fix this problem or might battery replacement will fix it? Thanks.
@@rickstechrepairs thanks for reply. I have not changed the battery yet. I have seen videos claiming to correct this condition but none have resulted positive after trying. That's why I thought about the battery replacement option.
@@rickstechrepairs no... It does not do anything. Only a red flashing light when connected to charger. when not connected there is no light, it's what I think people refer as bricked phone.
hhhhhhmmmm why did the customer not get you to put a new back on it while there cheap as chips lol good video do looked at a other vid and they pulled the logic board and 90 % of the phone to bits lol you sir earned a sub

BN41 battery model compatible on Redmi Note 4X ? or I should buy the BN43?
What is that tape you use on battery the white one
4:25
thanks for the time stamp, that is just some generic double sided tape, anything will do
Do you need to have new glue for the battery? I thought with the screws and back casing would keep the battery secured.
a little bit of double sided take should do the job fine and stop it from rattling around inside the phone
do you need to unscrew the bottom.part?
Once inside, no
Is it necessary to remove the fingerprint sensor? Other videos they don't remove the fingerprint sensor.
For me it was
Is the battery glue really that necessary?
If you are happy to have a battery flapping around in your phone - no it's not.
Otherwise, yes I would use it
does the RN4x 4/64 and 3/32 are same battery?? hope you see my comment
i believe it would be the same battery
the RN4 and the RN4X have different batterys tho
Thanks... Successfully replace the battery thanks to your video

First thing I would do is swap it back to the original battery from the phone and see how it goes from there

does fast boot mode or recovery mode able to be booted?

I wouldn't quite go that far to say it's bricked, but isn't a promising sign
Was the phone also getting hot while charging prior to it failing
