I never knew maqam was very diverse subject
However I learned that I love recitation in maqam Kurd
where did you learn
Probably from syaikh mishary rasyid al afasy
@@ikrammaududi6205 Me as well. Because I like Al Afasy's recitation,,,😊
There are even more maqams than the ones in the video
7:46 Maqam Kurd brought tears to my eyes 😢
I naturally incline to Nahawand, however I love Hijaz the most
I love maqam nahawand i also love saba. I find jiharqa most hard one. 🥲
1. Maqaam al-Bayyaat (Bayati): This is a maqaam that evokes humility and monasticism. It is the maqaam that focuses the heart and makes it ponder the verses of Allah and their meanings.
2. Maqaam ar-Rast (Rast): Rast is Persian word meaning steadfastness. Specialists in maqaamaat prefer this maqaam when reciting verses that tell narratives or prescribe rulings.
3. Maqaam an-Nahaawand (Nahawand): This maqaam evokes emotions of compassion and gentleness, and instils humility and reflection. Nahawand is an Iranian city after which this maqaam was named.
4. Maqaam as-Seeka (Sikah): This maqaam is distinguished by its slow and easy pace.
5. Maqaam as-Saba (Saba): This maqaam is very spiritual and powerful, and evokes emotions of compassion.
6. Maqaam al-Hijaaz (Hijaz): This is a maqaam of Arabian origin, named after the Hijaz region of Arabia. It is one of the most spiritual maqaams and one of the most effective in helping one to focus in recitation of Qur’an.
You forgot ajam and Kurd (although the latter is a variation of bayati)
Jazakallahu khayran for breaking it down again!
❤
Nahawand is actually based on Indian melody and not actually the Iranian city.
Using maqamat for Quran recitation ain't allowed
I first time listened all Maqaams by My favourite Quran Reciter Sheikh Mishary Alafasy.......🥰🥰🥰
Qari Ibraheem Bakeer is good at all of the maqamat, the best i've heard personally.
Subhan Allah...Everything is so simply and Beautifully described in this video... Indeed Quran is the biggest Miracle..giving different feelings, emotions, knowledge, warnings and so much more.
What a rich and sophisticated tradition we have allahumma barik! This video made me even more proud to be Muslim alhamdulillah! Islamic sciences are so diverse

Tüm Türkiye de sizin kanalı izlemeli bence, herkes cok daha bilinçli olur!

MashaAllah, this topic is the episode that I've been longing for.
This was very helpful and my first time hearing concept of maqam. JazakAllah khair.
Ma Sha Allah! Brother Faisal Latif...
Subhānallāh, I have been reading Qur'ān for over a decade but I'm disturbed to say that I'm just knowing what is maqmat in the recitation of the Qur'ān.....
Alhamdulillāh, I came to know it listening to your video clip. Pray Allāh swt grants you His abundant Rahmāt. Jazākumullāhu khayran to ALL the team members. I will go learn more....just seeing brother N. Ali Khan in a clip discussing Maqamat!
I pity you. I knew about maqamat for decades and I recite Quran using maqamat melodies base on verses context and according to my mood. Because I know the maqamat, so when imam recites Quran i can detect what melody he recites. In this video, he's not so expert and he recites Soba maqam but actually it's Hijaz maqam, also the end of maqam Rast of fatihah he recites is not Rast but Kurd it's sound sentimental. Here in Malaysia maqamat teaching are so widespread. Malaysia, Indonesia, Iran and Morocco, these countries always win in international Quranic Recitation because of the widespread teaching of maqamat in these countries. But of course the maqamat comes from Maqarri' of Egypt. Egyptian qari are the standard for quranic recitation. I feel pity for muslim in Pakistan, Bangladesh and India because they cannot recite Quran beautifully because the maqamat culture are not widespread instead they're recites Quran in Hindi melody

Mashallah excellent brother!
I love maqam ajam. To me, it brings more emotions
I know 8 but yes ajam is my favourite and hijaz and kurd
I never knew about this, thank you for all your content MashAllah, you work hard for this I can tell!
Beautiful and thank you.
Mashallah ❣️
MashAllah beautiful. ❤❤❤❤
Amazing video. Your recitations alone inspire our voices and instruments.
The words of Allah (swt) are beautiful no matter which maqam is employed. SubhanAllah! I do not hear one i do not like. May Allah (swt) bless the believers to enjoy a fruitful Ramadan. Ameen.
The melody plays a big part I think because it allows us to listen to the recitation which often calms our hearts and brings joy to it Alhamdulillah
Mashallah mashallah I learn alot from this video.
Masha Allah beautiful i literally want to learn
Maqam Ajam is the best !!Alhumdulillah.
مَا شَاءَ ٱللَّٰهُ
thank you for this 😍
I've noticed that people from different cultures recite Quran and call the Adhan in musical forms that emerged from their own cultures. I heard someone from Ethiopia leading salat, and to my ears, they were Ethiopian melodies. African Americans tend to use musical forms from blues and gospel.
When I call the adhan, I find myself using melodies from Italian opera.
ماشاء الله ❤️
MashAllah ❤❤❤
this is beautiful
Good job Brother..... Fight.... You are amazing
Jazakallah khairan brother ❣️
After knowing these maqamats and the explanations I understand how and why my favourite qari Omar Hisham Al Arabi has so many styles of recitation💖😍💛✨
He uses autotune
@@zf9527 yeah and it's almost tending to singing.
@@abdulsudaisy 🫂
simple but easy to understand
Pushing the algorithm ❤️
Your are making nice videos, congratulations 👍
Amazing that the repeatedly brother pointed out how it’s the words of Allah that take precedence over any maqamat. This was an important issue to mention. Alluma Barik
I love this channel and I am happy to see 970k subscribers I wanna see more
Jazakallahu hayr
hope we get a types of qiraat video too. That would be really informative
There are several videos of qira’at and maqamat in the playlist"quoranologie" of the channel arabic 101 (and perhaps 60 to 90 videos to learn tajweed, more important than maqamat)
@@amelkatrin3464 Jazakallahu khairan . Would definitely check them out
I like the voice of this reciter
Love this video
Ajam is a new knowledge for mee
I recite rast but I really enjoy listening to ajam and Kurd.
Mind blowing
Keep it up 👍
ma sha ALLAH was nit aware of this
Very beautiful brother!
I wish I could do that
Masha Allah. Although his mother tongue is not Arabic, his reading is really professional. I really proud of him.
Beautifully explained ❤️
سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّٰهِ
Maasha allaah
Mashallah khayr inshallah ill be a master of all maqamats but i must focus on learning tafsir first
Riyad as-Salihin 1425
'Aishah (R.A) reported:
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to recite frequently in his bowing and prostration: "Subhanak- Allahumma, Rabbana wa bihamdika. Allahum-maghfir li (O Allah! You are free from imperfection and I begin with praising You. Forgive my sins)."
Subhanallah never knew this
Masha Allah I want to learn them too
I love this guy's advice since some have trouble reciting in specific maqams or have trouble not reciting in specific maqams. It is nice to know about maqams, but it shouldn't be the main focus of the recitation. I believe that my voice tend to go to Kurd even though I prefer Hijaz and Nahawand.
Manshallah❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank youu
Mashah Allah
Subhanallah
