How to update firmware on the Rane 72 / SEVENTY TWO

Here's a quick tutorial on how to update the firmware on the Rane 72 / SEVENTY TWO serato dj mixer.

Mine froze half way through the update? Now it’s just stuck doing nothing? Any ideas or factory reset?

David Whitehead if your are using Catalina then you're going to have this problem. Use a different computer or older OS to run the update.

Hi, my 72 is stuck in update mode after I recieved an error during update. Do you know a way to force reset it? As of now it is bricked

chadnliz2k11 what type of OS are you running?mac or windows? The update doesn't work with Catalina.

@@djsupafly1 I do not understand why it worked fine with Catalina for last couple months. I was having a small issue so i figured i would just confirm the update, that's when it all went to shit

AyOooooooooo , NEVER had a PROBLEM like this updating BUT now ?? Not updating !!! I Have PC So I downloaded windows update , Extracted everything , boom bam , noticed that when it's time to click on change. Repair or Remove , I can't click on Change, it says it repaired it cuz that's all I can basically click on but it didn't update at all ? WTf ??? Got any ideas , I updated the first update w No problem Now ?? Help !!
