@@delrico8788I think it’s just a matter of the upgraded faders. I scratch for sh_t so it doesn’t affect me much. I love the Rane, but I think the newer S7/S11 are more my taste in 2024 TBH.
FOR YEARRRRRRRRSSSS I refuse to upgrade my mixer because all of the mixers after the 62, have removed the scroll bpm feature. Everyone I talked to about it looked at me like i was crazy. No one felt my pain. I was hoping the s9 or the 72 would have it. But the Rane GODS have heard my prayers. The 70 Features the scroll bpm. Ive never been so excited. I have yet to get my hands on this, I am officially adding this to my DJ rider as we speak. I MUST GET My hands on it and get in the action. Thank you MOJAXXX for the awesome review I think I am no longer interested in the 72 and or the s9 EVEN though the s9 is a beast...... This works perfect with my 12's and any other decks....
Looks great. My two gripes (1) no efx loop for external effects (the one on the TTM56 with the wet/dry was perfect); (2) no "channel swap" like with the TTM56 and TTM57mkii.

I was just pointing out that the x1800 itself was a crippled product when compared to their previous flagship mixer (x1700) that was was EOL'd before its time after a pitiful amount of updates and support. the one thing i wish rane WOULD change from old rane product is putting blue knobs on mixers. I bought the z trip yellow knobs for my old 62, but you just can see blue knobs well in a dark dj booth. i usually use red light in a dj booth, so they're so even harder to see. Even if they were all white, it would be fine, just need to see them.

Please tell me, what happens, when this mixer in a club, and some idiot comes around, and tweak all of the settings in a really bad way? I have to spend my set’s first 10 mins staring at a little screen and set everything back to normal? It’s nice to have the option, but it just makes trouble in a club, because there’s no way to load my preferred setting on the mixer, in seconds, without stopping the music...
There is a factory rest quickly accessible in the settings menu, it won’t stop audio. Only other stuff you might have to tweak is the fader settings, but that’s the same on any mixer.
ARGUE 88 I was a bit thrown off by this, I wish he expanded on why specifically someone should play in mono for clubs. Like when would be a time to play in stereo mode? What if you’re a mobile DJ who has a pretty basic set up like 2 powered monitors and a sub?
@@thebub716 it's okay, this video isn't about explaining speaker layouts so it makes sense not to elaborate on the tip. Long story short it comes down to speaker set up. Rule of thumb, play in mono when out at venues because their speakera are not set up on stereo layout (left and right side speakers). For more details Google mono vs stereo ... This was just suppose to be a quick tip but hopefully makes a little more sense now.
@@thebub716 Mono - All sounds in ur tracks go to all speakers Stereo - Sounds are panned Left/Right according to the way ur tracks were recorded If u are in a club u can't be sure how the sound is set up, if it is setup in mono and you use stereo on ur mixer/software, then some sounds in some tracks may be "missing" in the club speakers
Ok, cool. The screen on the 72 was definitely not a selling point, for me. It made the mixer look gimmicky and was just another feature to potentially malfunction, eventually.. and were't they a bit laggy? Anyway, if I can pick one up one of these for under a grand (in pounds) then I will consider shelling out *BUT* how long before this mixer becomes obsolete or "un-supported" like the 57 mk1??!
Got a question..my left side of my rane seventy is not allowing me to change the loop measurements on the fly...It’s only allow me to change it from 1/32 to 4 but not anymore...My right deck doesn’t have that problem. I’m not sure if it’s a software setting issue or a hardware issue? If anyone has a solution I would appreciate...Thanks
So I really want a good 3 channel Serato mixer with pads on it and the only mixer I can find is the Mixars Quattro, but I don't like the pad arrangement and the efx and some of the other features. So would connecting the DDJ-SB2 (or some other controller/mixer) via usb, be best way to get more channels?

Hi. I just got Twelve and Im looking for mixer for it. The thing is Im more of producer and I will be just starting with Serato to add scratches to my palette. Because Serato enabled mixers have audio interface in them I was thinking about getting rid of my interface but dont want something worse than what I have. Im mainly producer with Ableton with some vst synths, Native Komplete etc. Do you know how Seventy would cooperate with Live or any other DAWs in Windows 10 ASIO? Its a huge investment but if I could replace also my sound card it would make more sense and cover some expenses. Otherwise I will go with entry level mixers as its too expensive for my needs and turntable skills to get top line Rane mixer. Im also not sure if I could use entry level mixers with Serato audio interface in it at the same time I will be using Ableton with my primary audio interface if I decide to go that route. Best solution for me would be to have mixer with good interface in it or keep my audio interface and have some serato enabled midi controller that unlocks serato for my Twelve but from what I see all of them have audio interface inside? I would really appreciate help on that. I really like your reviews by the way. Thanks
so crazy. i bought the TTM57 brand new back in 07 or 08, like $1450 from Guitar Center. it was destroyed in a fire in 2018. i will get the 70 eventually.

the dj hardware market is in the move, especialy in the high end section dominated by pioneer. there are a bunch of brands trying to kick pioneer from theire throne. but i think its sad that every 3rd party brand releases only controlers or dvs-mixers for serato. no plug and play for traktor. i don't know why. i used traktor since i started dj in the age of 11 (it was 2005) and never changed. i hope they let 3rd party controller brands build controllers traktor ready. (edit) i had bought a ddj900nxs2 and a xp2 from pioneer a few month ago and had to remap the xp2 it for traktor. unfortunaly the slide-fx sections don't work because traktor don't see it as one fader, every 10% section is one different fader and i cant get it to work like one. its realy sad cause the ni maschine jam use the same touch fader type like the pioneer xp2.

Nice to see the Rane Seventy-Two owners did not get screwed over like the Denon x1800 owners.
x1800 was such a step back from the x1700. Not much has changed there.

The 1800 isn’t obsolete, it’s still supported.

Trying to figure out if you can add effects to the sampler on the 70 like you could on the 62. If anyone has any insight I would be forever grateful!
As far as I know the only way to do that on the Rane 70 is to assign the Sampler to Channel 1 or 2 and than use the FX on those channels.

...feel same way. Honestly loved the 57 layout .. if Rane didn’t scrap it I still would probably prefer that over other mixer.
